Lunch time. Alice, Sibyl, Amy, Ramin, and Ralph are sitting next to each other.
Amy: So Alice, I heard your band won. Same with mine during our period.
Sibyl: Mine too.
Ralph: We're on the same team.
Alice: But don't you have different classes?
Ramin: Mr. Gowland found out that we are close friends, so he put us in one group.
Sibyl: We get to go against your group at the party.
Alice: That's cool.
Amy: And we want you on our team. You guys have the most band members, so it's not fair.
Alice: Well if you know them, then you would understand.
Ralph: That's the thing, we can't get to know them because you won't let us.
Alice: Excuse me?
Sibyl: They follow you like dogs. This is like the only time we've been alone without them.
Vivaldi and Ace walk over.
Sibyl: See
Vivaldi: Sibyl, so you want Alice?
Sibyl: Who doesn't want Alice?
Vivaldi: Well, you wanted war, so let's have war?
Sibyl: What do you mean?
Vivaldi: We're going to fight for Alice.
Alice: With guns!
Vivaldi: God no darling. Sing battle.
Sibyl: Alright.
Vivaldi: You will make your way down to the music classroom right after lunch. There we will decide who gets Alice through a singing battle.
Sibyl: Deal. Alice is more important than math. Winner gets Alice in their band.
Vivaldi: Alright, but Alice has to pick the winner.
Sibyl: See you soon loser. Bye Alice. We've been friends longer. Just remember that.
Sibyl, Amy, Ramin, and Ralph walk off.
Alice: Do I have a say in this?
Vivaldi: Of course darling. You get to pick the true winner.
Vivaldi walks off.
Alice: Now my friends are fighting for me.
Ace puts his arm around Alice to comfort her.
Ace: Don't worry about it.
Alice: That's going to be hard for me.
