"Harshad, leave me alone for God's sake. Why are you following me again?"I said still walking not bothering to look behind me
"Who?!" he said, who I thought was Harshad
I turned around and saw Manik looking at me, he didn't look too happy
MANIK: "Did that dick touch you?" he asked angrily
I turned back around and kept walking. I didn't want him to know about Harshad in the first place and I'm for sure not going to tell him what he said
He immediately stood in front of me and blocked my way.
"I'm tired Manik, I wanna go home," I said annoyed
MANIK: "No! You're first going to tell me what he wanted!" he said in a threatening kind of way
"No, I'm not!" I replied
Why does he think I'm gonna tell him everything because he asked so. I walked past him and continued my walk home.
MANIK: "You don't understand do you!" he shouted making me stop by grabbing my hand
I was surprised by his action, he was mad but in a weird kind of way.
MANIK: "I would kill anyone who touches you, who threatens you, or even looks at you. Why don't you understand what I feel for you?" he broke eye contact after a few seconds and let go of my hand.
"Wait," I said grabbing his hand again which made him turn back towards me. What the hell am I doing?
He looked at me with his brown eyes before I spoke
"The reason I didn't say anything was that I didn't want you to do something stupid that would get you in trouble again"
"I care about you way too much, I don't want you to be in trouble because of me again" I saw lowering my gaze
He placed his hand on my cheek and forced me to look at him.
MANIK: "I don't care if I get in trouble, I want you to be safe!" he said
His bright brown eyes were blinding me, the most beautiful pair of eyes I had ever seen.
He leaned in forward and I immediately knew what he wanted to do. But he moved his lips to the side and kissed my cheek. I felt my cheeks turning red from embarrassment
MANIK: "From now on, I'm taking you home..I don't want him to be anywhere near you again," he said still holding my hand
"You can let go of my hand though, "I said
MANIK: "No, I-I-this is a dangerous neighborhood so you better stay close to me," he said
Ooh, he wish, but I didn't want to argue with him anymore so I let him hold my hand. His speech was impressive, so he deserves a hand to hold on to.
"You can let go of me now," I said when we arrived at my house
MANIK: "Oh yeah of course," he said letting go of my hand
MANIK: "Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow." he said and walked away
This guy, something is wrong with him. I liked it, I like it that I had someone who was worried and protective. Even though we had our moments, he still meant a lot to me.
MANIK POV
Me holding her hand was the best few minutes of my day. I felt like she was mine like we were a thing. I wanna be the guy who would protect her every day but I couldn't...We could never be together...I dropped her home and took off.
As I arrived home, I immediately went to my room and sat on my bed. I took a book out of my bag which Aryamaan gave me earlier
*Flashback*
ARYAMAAN: "Here you go," he said handing me over a book
"Thank you! I owe you one!" I said looking at the title of the book
ARYAMAAN: "Don't thank me, bro, call me if you wanna know something, anything!" he said and took off
I read the title out loud, it said 'The beauty of Islam'
I opened my bag and placed the book in it, I'll try to read it tonight
