"Bhabhi! Trust me, aap pe crimped hair bahot ache lagenge. Bol na Taara!"
Naina said excitedly to Taani holding the crimping machine in her hands, giving a puppy face to Taara, the latter to nodded,
"Haan bhabhi, you will look like a super model in crimped hair."
Taani sulked sitting on the dressing table,
"Arre but kyu dikhna hai super model ki tarah? Rehne dete hai na, mere hair aise hi thik hai. Main ek stylish bun bana leti hun."
She said, trying to tie her hair in a bun and showing all the ladies, it was time for the pooja and Taani's muh dikhai after that hence all the girls were in Taarey's room getting Taani ready while the boys were chilling in Adarsh's room. The girls giggled seeing Taani being grilled by Taara and Naina who were hell bent on crimping Taani's long hair for the function. Sharon supported the girls,
"Taani! Buns are now so old fashioned, you are newly married and young, kuch to stylish karo."
Taani pouted hearing her, leaving her hair when Kanchi gushed, "Haan, crimped hair look so sexy and wild."
Amna slapped her forehead, "Ohho tum sab kyun uske peeche pade ho, or muh dikhai hai, disc night thodi na jo Taani has to look sexy and wild."
Taani smiled widely finally getting somebody's support and said, "Haan dekho na, sahi keh rahi hain bhabhi. Main curls ya straightening hi karleti hu."
She was gonna stand when Sharon, Kanchi, Swadhinta, Naina and Taara shouted together,
"NO! Sit Down!"
Taani huffed sitting making Twinkle and Ishita giggle and Amna have pity on the girl, Ishita told them,
"Achha jo karna hai jaldi karo, neeche pooja ka waqt ho jayega."
The girls nodded and Taara and Naina started styling Taani's hair while the girl sighed sitting silently handing her precious hair to the girls. Swadhinta joked from behind,
"I am sure Rey would lose his mind seeing your new look."
Taani's eyes widened and she prayed that the look would suit her, otherwise she would be hell embarrassed in front of Rey and others. Soon, the girls were done and all girls looked at Taani with their mouth open, while she was glancing at all nervously playing with her fingers.
"Itna bura lag raha hai kya?"
Her back was facing the mirror, hence she wasn't able to see herself in the new hairstyle, when Twinkle gushed,
"Wowwwwwww! Damn Taani, you look devilishly hot and sexy with these new hair."
The girls nodded while Taani's eyes widened as Kanchi said nodding,
"Yeahhh! Fuck! Main ladka hoti na, utha ke le jati, I would never be able to control myself."
"Kanchiiiiii!"
Taani flustered hearing Kanchi's words while everyone said together, making her bit her tongue, all giggled at Kanchi's craziness when Taara said,
"Bhabhi, trust me, bahot suit kar raha hai! Wait, I'll turn you around."
Taani nodded, and the Taara and Naina turned her around making her finally see herself and her eyes widened seeing a completely new Taani. Her wildly crimped hair was falling around her round face with a hint of vermillion on her forehead. Her stylish heavy green velvet and pink net saree with her wedding bangles and her nuptial with light bold make-up on her face with long danglings. She looked the perfect modern Indian bride who is traditional yet bold and bright. And a small silver stone bindi on her forehead.

Her lips just muttered only one word,
"Wow!"
Everybody giggled saying in sync, "Yep wow!"
Everybody hugged her sideways when Naina said,
"Bhabhi ke new look mein selfies to banti hai."
All nodded excitedly and soon the ladies were taking pics and selfies in front of the mirror posing happily as they all were ready in beautiful sarees, indo-westerns and ethnics for the function. They all were happily taking pics when a knock resonated on the door, Ishita opened it and found Rey standing there, she smiled teasingly,
"Aiye aiye, zara bhi door nahi raha jaata na apni biwi se."
Rey flushed, while the girls inside laughed hearing Ishita knowing Rey was there, he just shook his head,
"Aisa ni hai bhabhi, vo bas Mummas or daadi aap sabko neeche bula rahi hain, poojaki preps ho gayi."
Ishita was gonna tease again but Twinkle beat her to it, coming from her back and hugging ishita around her shoulder,
"Bas bas bahana mat bana, sab pata hai, Taani se milne ka wait ni ho raha."
Rey rolled his eyes before teasing her back, "Mera to pata nahi, but aap sabke husbands ko aap logo se milne ka wait to bilkul ni ho raha."
Amna pulled his ear making him shriek,
"Achha bachhu! Bhabhi se pange."
Taani giggled from inside but Rey sighed, he could just hear her sound, but couldn't see her due to his sisters and bhabhis swarming the door. He smiled sheepishly,
"Sorry bhabhi."
The ladies nodded giggling before leaving her, Swadhinta turned to Taani,
"Taani hum neeche jaa rahe hain, tum dono aa jana."
The girl nodded and soon giving teasing smiles to Rey they all shuffled out of the room. he sighed opening the door wide and finally entering his own room only to stay rooted at his place, his eyes stuck on his bride standing there dressed like a nymph ready to lure people in her charm.
She looked at him nervously, seeing him still, not even giving a reaction and ran a hand through her hair making him gulp as he saw her henna clad hand and fingers running through her wild strands. Gaining his senses, he walked towards her standing just an inch away asking in a small voice,
"Your hair!"
Taani smiled nervously, "Umm...vo Naina and Taara.....sab bolne lage ki crimped hair would look good on me, so.........."
She shrugged making him smile softly when she asked nervously, "Achhe nahi lag rahe mujhpe?"
He smiled at her nervousness, raising his hand touched a strand of her hair, though his fingers missed the soft texture of her hair which was replaced by the slightly rough textures of her crimps, but she looked damn alluring in that look. She was looking at him in anticipation as he adjusted her long earring that was turned around in her hair and she squirmed a little. His hand then went to her forehead slightly caressing the stone bindi, making her sigh as he pressed it softly seeing it was coming off. Leaning down he placed a soft kiss besides it on her eyebrow muttering,
"You look beautiful!"
Taani finally heaved a sigh of relief hearing him, when he muttered, "Just one thing, you never need to seek validation of your appearance from me or anyone else. If you feel something is looking good on you and you adorn it with confidence, then it doesn't matter how others find it okay? Even me!"
She smiled nodding, "I would remember this."
He grinned leaning down and kissing her cheek softly, before asking, "Let's go?"
She nodded giving a final look to herself and adjusting her saree before they both went out of the room for the pooja.

"Pooja sampan hui, aap ye prasad sabko de dijiye. Or ye jal pure ghar mein chhidak dijiye."
The priest told Taani after the Satyanarayan katha that was kept for Taarey was completed, he handed her a plate full of Prasad and the other was a kalash (pot) with gangajal and palm leaf. She nodded and everybody stood happily, thanking the priest while Taarey went to sprinkle holy water around the house. After it was done, Taani took the offering and started distributing to everybody, with the kids following her around.
Sanskar said joking, "Bhabhi pehle inn dono badmasho ko dedijiye, varna aise hi peeche peeche ghumte rahenge."
Taani giggled nodding and the kids smiled sheepishly as she bent down holding out the offering, the kids jumped to take it when Taani pulled her hand back and showed her cheek, giggling both the kids gave her a kiss on each cheek making her smile and then feeding them the Prasad. She smiled keeping the plate aside, dropping the veil from her forehead and standing with everyone when Vandana said,
"Taani, bachhe, you wanna rest? Coz abhi bas neighbours or guests aa jayenge tumhari muh dikhai ke liye or fir vahan ek jagah baithe baithe bilkul rest ni milega."
Taani politely shook her head, "nahi badi maa, I am okay. Main bilkul tired ni hu."
Vandana nodded, when Rishi said, "Mujhe baki sabka pata nahi, mujhe bahot bhook lagi hai. Lunch karein kya please?"
Everybody chuckled at his antics as he rubbed his stomach, and started going towards the dining room for lunch. Taani's first food ritual was still left as Rajni told her to take rest for the day as already so many rituals were there and she would be tired. All settled down on their seats, Taani besides Rey at her new place and he smiled widely at the idea of her sitting beside him everyday for every meal like this.
His smile was noticed by his family, who were ecstatic seeing him happy, Siddharth said teasingly,
"Rey aaj kal kuch zyada smile ni kar raha tu?"
Rey rolled his eyes as their teasing started, Rey looked at the butler who was serving him food trying to hold his laughter, he passed him sarcastic smile, "Hassi aa rahi hai?"
The butler shook his head softly, "Sorry sir!"
And his family snickered seeing as he made an irritated face when Adarsh continued teasing, "Haan dekho na, Taani ke sath baithne se kitna khush hai, smile jaa hi nahi rahi face se."
Taani looked down, a small smile on her face as she too tried to stop her giggle seeing her husband getting roasted by the family. Rey gave them a sarcastic smile, before concentrating on eating and frowned only seeing a single plate of food in front of him and Taani,
"Ek hi plate kyu?"
Veer smiled, "Bhul gaya bachhu? Hum sab ko kitne hafta tak ek hi plate mein khana khilaya tha newly wed ke tag se, ab aapki bari, ek hi plate milegi."
Rey hanged his head down defeatedly before sighing and starting eating pushing the plate slightly towards Taani who too started asking confused,
"Aap sabko bhi matlab?"
Mishkat nodded, "Haan Taani, tumhara ye jo husband hai na, itna tang kiya hai isne sabko jab hamari shaadi hui thi. Do hafto tak ye or inn shaitano.........."
He pointed at Sanskar, Naina and Taara who smiled sheepishly, "Inn sabne hum couples ko ek hi plate mein khana khilaya hai, at the prospect ki pyaar badhta hai."
Taani giggled when Swayam said, "Haan, ab Rey teri bari hai, beta aap or Taani ab pyaar badhao apna."
Taarey looked flushed as they all snickered, high-fiving each other when Sharon said, "Taani sorry haan, but tumhare saath jitney torture honge na tumhare iss husband ki harkaton ki wajah se honge."
Karan nodded, "haan Taani, hamari tumse koi dushmani ni hai, iss idiot se hai."
Taani giggled as Rey muttered a 'whatever' under his breath, the elders were laughing at the kids banter, when Harsh said, "Achha bas bhi, kitna tang karoge inn dono ko, khaana khane do araam se."
Rey gave a winning smile to everyone winking at his grandfather, as all started eating food. Taarey were sharing food and Rey made her eat more making her sulk. Her appetite was a huge concern for him, she barely ate enough, hence he made sure she ate properly to suffice till reception during the night. She pouted when he put some rice for her in the plate, and said pleadingly,
"Reyansh please! Ho gaya, bas tummy full."
He bit the inside of his cheek to stop his smile and shook his head, "What tummy full? Sirf one chapatti mein tummy full. Khao chup chap, I want these finish." He pointed to the rice, and she looked at them with wide eyes, they were too much for her, he eyed her dangerously before keeping a spoon full of rice in front of her mouth. She looked at him shocked, eyeing around the family, all were busy in their own world and then at him. he gave her a nonchalant look, eyeing the bite, and she sighed opening her mouth and he stuffed the spoon in her mouth making her pout angrily. He chuckled seeing her fake angry face, before cleaning the curry near her lips and muttering, "Giving me angry looks won't help you jaan, you need to start eating more before you disappear into thin air." She huffed as he made fun of her and made her eact in between, she thanked the gods that nobody noticed and even if they did, they didn't comment on it.
After the lunch was over, everyone went to the living room for the function ahead, Rajni told the men,
"Bachhon, sab aa gaye hain muh dikhai ke liye, now men out of this room. Tum mein se koi bhi mujhe yahan ni dikhna chahiye."
The girls giggled seeing the guys sulking face, when Vansh asked, "Iska matlab main bhi jaun?"
Everybody chuckled when Swadhinta said pulling him closer, "You are exception my little prince. Aap yahan reh sakte ho."
Vansh cheered happily and Sanskar and Rey muttered together, "Kya lucky ladka hai."
Both glanced at each other chuckling and high-fiving as Sanskar wound his arm around Rey and the guys scrambled out of the room. Taani settled down on the seat made for her with a red veil over her face, and the family was around her.
The guests were soon there, most of them ladies while their husbands and men joined the Singhania men, the ladies one by one came lifting Taani's veil, seeing her and giving her blessings and gifts. Everybody praised her beauty and she sighed, wondering how girls are made a point of judgement in this ritual as everybody would judge her on scale of beauty by seeing the face of the bride. She smiled a little sarcastically at the fact, thinking when these things would end in the society but stayed silent knowing it was a ritual. The Singhania girls and everybody looked at her with pity, aware as they too went through this when they came as brides in the family. They all sighed when one of the ladies complimented Rajni,
"Rajni kehna padega, bahot kismet vali ho. Saari bahuein itni khubsoorat aayi hain, or sanskari bhi."
The girls gave forced smiles which changed to big genuine ones when Rajni said,
"Seema ji! Meri sabhi DAUGHTERS bas beautiful or sanskari nahi, responsible, capable, independent, successful or bahot loving or caring bhi hain. Sirf khubsoorat or sanskari unki qualities nahi hai. Ab Taani bhi Psychology mein graduate hai or ab apni post graduation karegi, and I am hoping aage jake bahot achhi counseller banegi. We are lucky to have them."
The lady gave her a forced smile while all the Singhania daughters and ladies looked at Rajni happily with pride reflecting on their faces. All the guests gave her a forced smile too before Vandana handled the situation, "Umm aap sab lijiye na kuch, serve karo sabko."
She said the last line to butler and he nodded serving drinks and snacks to everyone, as soon as the ladies left Kanchi jumped on Rajni hugging her sideways tightly,
"Love you daadiiiiiii! You are the best!"
All giggled at her words when Rajni gushed at them, "You my precious angels are best too!"
She referred to all of them as they all hugged her happily, as they broke the hug Gauri said,
"Achha chalo, late ho gaya hai, reception ka time ho jayega. We all should start getting ready."
They looked at the clock and truly it was 6pm and the reception would start at 8, all rushed towards their rooms while Avantika went to all the men, and told them to get ready too as they dispersed in their rooms.

Taarey room (Night time)
Taarey were getting ready for the reception standing in front of the mirror, Taani was ready as make-up artists came to groom her up for the party, so she was just combing her hair in front of the mirror trying not to ruin the straightened up strands. She was dressed in a peach gown with deep back almost to her lower waist, her nuptials, straightened hair falling on her left shoulder baring her back and light bold make-up with huge funy rings and earcuffs. Her look was simple and classy.
Rey was dressed in a navy blue color tuxedo with tie matching Taani's outfit. He was only in his dress shirt, trying to tie up the knot of her tie, without ruining the press. He groaned when he couldn't make the perfect knot again and Taani looked at him amused before giggling,
"Reyansh! Kya hua?"
He huffed holding out the tie for her, "Mujhse nahi ho raha, mene mumma ko bola tha ki mujhe tie bandhni nahi aati, vo hi humesha baandhti thi ya bhabhi. Aaj pata nahi sab hi busy hai, sabne mana kardiya ki hum nahi bandh rahe. Hadd hai! Ab kese pehnu tie main?"
She smiled shaking her head, she knew why every girl denied, as she already had a long one hour teasing session that now she is there to help him in this. She giggled as she said,
"Idhar aaiye."
He huffed going towards her, their reflection was in the mirror, she was amused seeing his baby sulking face. Shaking her head, she turned around her back facing the mirror now, she held her palm up in front of him,
"Give me!"
He handed the tie to her asking amused, "Tumhe aati hai?"
She nodded in a yes, and he happily handed it relieved that now he won't have to fuss with the tie, raising on her tip toes she flunged the tie around his neck and raised his shirt collar slightly adjusting the tie before flattening the collar again. He sighed waiting as she started doing the knot, his hands automatically going to her waist making her still for a second as his fingers touched the bare skin of her back. she started again hoping he didn't notice the momentary pause, but indeed he did. His gaze ran over her face, she was looking so sophisticatedly beautiful, simple and classy. He was amused seeing her two faces in a day, her sexy and alluring look during the day and now this. She was almost done with the knot when he raised his gaze and looked into the mirror, his eyes shining with happiness and admiration at their reflection. For a second his gaze ran over her whole bare back, stopping on the peeking wedding chain on her nape. he smiled softly, his hand involuntarily brushing her spine with back of his fingers startling her making her shudder. Her gaze snapped to his, and he gave her an amused look seeing her face turning red.
Their gazes locked, as they admired each other's reflection in the other's orbs. She snapped out of it looking here and there for a second before biting her lower lip and adjusting his tie muttering, "Done!"
She was gonna move away, when he stopped her holding her waist and muttered, "Just look behind you, we look so perfect together!"
Listening to him, she tilted her face a little back towards the mirror and true to his words she saw the reflection of their perfect pair, as he stood there looking at them while her back faced the mirror and her face tilted to watch them. she smiled at the sight, before turning her head back and looking at him with her face and eyes shining brightly. He leaned down sighing touching their noses and foreheads together when she muttered after staying like that for a few seconds,
"We'll get late! Chale?"
He sighed throwing his head back muttering, "I can't wait for these ceremonies to get over, tabhi tumhare sath time milega muje."
She giggled hearing him as he wore his blazer setting it and at last dabbing his scent, Taani leaned to the wall beside mirror giving him a teasing smile as he raised his brows at her in 'what'.
"Koi bol raha tha, main tumse jaldi ready ho jaunga. Mujhe bas 15 mins chahiye ready hone ke liye. Blah blah blah!"
She mimicked him, and at end moved her head mockingly, he narrowed his eyes at her, and saying defensively, "Haan to? Ye...ye tie ne time le liye. Agar ye bandh deti jaldi tum, to tumse jaldi ready ho jata."
She gave a 'whatever' shrug saying, "Jo bhi ho, in the end, I am ready or aap abhi tak ready ho rahe ho. So, it's proved that hum girls itna time ni leti, aap log bhi humare jitna time lete ho ready hone mein."
He narrowed his eyes again, "Agar party ke liye late ni ho rahe hote na, tab batata main tumhe."
She poked her tongue at him childishly and he but the inside of his cheek trying to stop the smile forming on his face at her antics. Bantering, they both hurried and went downstairs towards the party banquet in Singhania mansion, Sanskar who was outside said,
"Aap dono yahan ho. Bhai bhabhi party kabki shuru ho gayi."
Rey pointed at Taani, "Isne ready hone mein time lagaya."
Her mouth wide opened as she muttered, "Haww, lier! Aapne mujhse zyada time liya."
Sanskar laughed shaking his head saying, "Arre ye sab baad mein karna. I am telling the Dj to play music, as soon as you hear the sound, come inside okay!"
Taarey nodded smiling sheepishly, as Sanskar went inside and took the mic,
"Ladies and Gentlemen! It's finally time to welcome the duo, jinke liye aaj ki party or ye reception rakhi gayi hai. Please welcome Reyansh Singhania and the newest member of our family, the beautiful and gorgeous Taani Singhania!"

The whole family gushed happily seeing Taarey, as they entered with taani's arm entwined to his and her gown sweeping the floor, smiling at everybody. Even the guests clapped and hooted for the couple.

The duo went straight towards the family and friends as everybody hugged them and welcomed them. the kids hopped around Taarey, in their small blazer and gown, while the whole family too looked similar as Taarey dressed in same color gowns and tuxedoes as them. Ashish hugged Taani and kissed her head smiling, blessing her and Swayam did the same making her happy. Taani was glad they were here as she knew her parents didn't come.

The song continued playing as Sanskar took the mic again and saying,

He announced and soon the butlers were rolling in two trolleys one with champagne bucket and glasses and other with a huge nude cake with purple flower icing.

Everyone gathered near them, as Rey took the bottle shaking it and opening it making everybody hoot, he spilled it in the glasses making a toast with everyone while Taani settled for orange juice. She still wasn't confident enough to have a drink between so many people. With Rey it was a different thing.

Taarey laughed holding their small hands around the knife and the four of them cut the cake together and a shower of flowers happened on them.

He smiled softly forwarding the cake, she gave him a surprised look, before eating it and feeding him in return. Taani noticed it and smiled softly shaking her head.

The party was going on with full swing, Taani was looking at everybody surprised seeing so many people and big names, from celebrities to actors, businessmen and everyone as they all came and greeted her and Rey with respect clicking pictures with them and chatting along with giving gifts.
Rey was holding her protectively through her waist, talking with everyone, trying that she not feels left out knowing she still didn't know many people here. He would rub her back when he would feel she was nervous while interacting with someone and she would gain a sudden confidence. She was still standing nervous when a business associate walked away, Rey saw this and leaning muttered,
"Shh relax love! You are doing great!"
A big smile came on her lips at his words, as soon some other guest came there, an actor. Taarey were now just mingling when Taani's eyes lit up seeing a counter where Pani puri were being served, she didn't knew they had pani puri in snacks.
Rey looked at her happy face and followed her gaze, he smiled seeing her face lighting up because of pani puri, he asked her,
"Pani puri khana hai?"
She looked at him excitedly, then at the tray and stall before her smile fell, she denied shaking her head sadly. He frowned,
"Kyun? Jab pasand hai to khao."
She muttered with a pout, "Nahi rehne dijiye. We are meeting the guests, achha thodi na lagta hai, main apni reception pe hi vahan jake aise muh khol khol ke pani puri khau. Vese bhi pani puri kitni bhi manners se khalo, weird hi lagte hain."
She made a face at end, he chuckled hearing her before saying, "Nonsense! There's nothing embarrassing about eating pani puri at your own reception. Go! Eat!"
She shook her head again amking his sigh as she said, "Mian akele to vese bhi nahi jaa rahi. Rehne dijiye."
He sighed not saying anything anymore, but not completely dropping the matter, if she wants to eat pani puri then he would make sure she eats it without being conscious about it. They met the guests and when he saw Taani busy with interacting with someone, he took his phone out and texted someone. Twinkle looked at her phone buzzing and saw Rey's text, she frowned eyeing him, he gestured her to read it and she opened it reading silently,
Bhabhi, Taani ko paani puri khani hai, but she is feeling shy yahan sabke samne or akele jake khane mein. Aap or sab bhabhi le jao na, aapko mana ni karegi.
She smiled reading it, and nodded at it, he gave her a wink giving a flying kiss making her chuckle. Twinkle searched around the hall and after finding the girls she told them and they happily agreed as they all loved pani puri a lot. The whole girl gang moved towards Taareu dressed in their peach gowns, and Swadhinta pulled Taani's hand saying, "Taani chalo, sab milke pani puri khate hain. Mujhe or Twinkle bhabhi ko bahot zyada craving ho rahi hai."
Taani looked at the girls surprised, then happily nodded and the girls pulled her towards the counter. Rey smiled seeing her finally going there, as he gazed at her happily chatting and now eating without any care in the world with his bhabhis, sisters and best friend. His gaze was stuck on her as she made faces eating the chaat, her cheeks puffing and her lips poutingtrying to gulp down the snack. He thanked his stars and bhabhis that finally she was doing what she wants without being conscious. And he swore to himself that he would never let her compromise with anything just because of hesitation, or because of people. He would always try to keep this smile intact on her face. He saw her giggling at something Taara said, as she ate the chaat that Amna fed her lovingly.
He came out of his stupor at his mother's teasing voice, "Bas bhi kar, meri beti ko nazar lagane ka iraada hai kya?"
He smiled at Avantika shaking his head, and saying, "Nahi mumma, itni himmat ni hai meri."
Avantika giggled, happily looking at Taani, "Kitni khush lag rahi hai."
Rey nodded sighing, "Hnn lag to rahi hai, but apni khushi ke liye kuch bhi karne se pehle humesha hesitate karti hai."
Avantika sighed, caressing his cheek, "Maybe isliye kyunki apni khushi se kuch karne ka ussi abhi mauka mila hai. Time to lagega na adjust karne mein."
He sighed nodding, she smiled, "I am very happy! Taani is perfect!"
He grinned nodding, "she is!"
He hugged her happily, as Ranvijay came there, "Sahi hai haan! Mere bina hug."
Rey chuckled hugging him from side, and Ranvijay patted his back, "keep her happy and you too always be happy."
Rey nodded hugging his father. Soon, the girls and everybody joined them where they were standing, the family happily chatting when the Dj played music and Sanskar pulled Taara on the stage.

The night passed happily, as everybody enjoyed themselves knowing Taarey's wedding was finally over and the next day, their normal day-to-day lives would start again.
