Author's POV
One day later
Taani was getting ready in her room for the haldi ceremony, dressed in a golden and green lehenga with mirror work, open hair with middle parting supporting a maang tikka, face bare of make up and a pearl and kundan jewelry set. She was giving a over all to herself when a loud bang startled her, turning around she went towards the sitting area to see the cause of the sound and was astonished seeing Rey standing there in his haldi outfit, a golden kurta and afghani salwar, tangled in the curtains fighting to come out of them.

Unknown to herself, she checked him out for a few minutes, his bare chest peeking from the open kurta, his frown and ruffled hair as he was fighting with the curtains.
Seeing him groaning and cursing, made her giggle softly and she laughed catching his attention, he looked at her mesmerised for a second before giving her a pissed look and saying sarcastically,
"Haha, hass liya ho to aakar help bhi kardo ab."
She shook her head trying to stifle her laugh as he again got busy in untangling himself, she slapped her forehead lightly saying,
"Kya kar rahe hain, aise to aap or ulajh jayenge. Wait!"
She went towards him while he stood there huffing, he was looking at the curtains when she asked,
"Aap curtains mein entangle kese hogaye?"
He was gonna answer looking up at her, but his voice was caught in his throat seeing her so close to him as she tried moving the curtains aside, her face close to his neck and her breath falling over the bare skin. He shivered slightly unknown to her, feeling her nose and lips slightly touching his neck as she tried removing the curtain from around his neck. A lump formed in his throat which he gulped softly not saying anything when he again heard her voice,
"Boliye na Reyansh, curtains mein kese entangle hogaye? Or aap yahan kya kar rahe hain, abhi neeche jaana hai na haldi ke liye."
By this time, he was untangled from the curtains, only a thread was stuck in his kurta button which she was trying to pull out. Before he could have known, his hands clutched her bare waist startling her and he rotated them around pinning her to the wall and the curtain fall around them behind him hiding both of them. she was looking at him wide eyed, when he answered in his deep husky voice finding her so close,
"I wanted to be the first one to put haldi on you."
She looked ta him in surprise, before rambling due to nervousness at his proximity,
"What? But..ke...aap?....mmm....Par...Reyansh....we.....have........"
He stopped her rambling keeping a finger on her lips and shushed her,
"Shh, I can, meri dulhan ho, merese pehle koi haldi kese laga sakta hai?"
Saying that, he took out the small container he carried in his kurta pocket and opening it kept in on the shelf beside them, she shivered seeing his intense gaze when she said hesitatingly,
"But Reyansh, aapne pehle haldi lagayi to ....to stain rahega, main neeche kese jaungi? Sab dekh lenge....."
He caressed her waist moving closer as their noses collided making her shiver when he answered,
"Hmm, to haldi vahan lagata hun jahan koi dekh na paye."
Her eyes widened, she tried shaking her head but he again kept a finger on her lips shushing her, she looked at him innocently when he whispered in a husky voice,
"Turn around....."
She looked at him confused, "Par.........."
When he again said this time in a slight dark and dominating voice, "Turn around jaana!"
She felt shivers and tremors running down her spine as he said that, and her mind responded by following his words, she turned around. Her front facing the wall, taking her hands he kept them flat on the wall and she could feel her heart beating loudly as her body followed him as if hypnotised by him. he moved closer, removing any distance left and she banged slightly to the wall. His hands removed her long open hair from her back and she whimpered softly feeling his fingers on her bare back.
He felt his breath stopping seeing her bare skin, her top in place only with the help of two thin strings. Rubbing his nose on her cheek slightly from back he whispered, as his hand slightly caressed the skin around the knot of her strings, "You know right, tumhe meri jhoothi haldi lagegi?"
She nodded, gathering some of her senses back with great difficulty, he smirked saying, "This is gonna be my most favourite ritual in all of our wedding functions."
She blushed slightly, her whole body shivering and closed her eyes surrendering herself to him. he smiled, before taking a little amount of haldi paste on his fingers and applying it on his cheeks before leaning down and rubbing his cheek softly on her back. she bit her lip to control the soft sound of pleasure form escaping her lips, as she felt his cheek rubbing on her back and then his soft lips placing a kiss there followed by small peck. She fisted her hand, missing something to grasp to withhold the pleasure. He came to her ear and whispered,
"Ab thik hai? Yahan haldi to kisiko nahi dikhegi, right?"
She hummed softly, still blushing when he kissed her earlobe and then her nape, she arched her back into him, he kissed her cheek and was going to kiss her neck again but she turned around abruptly not able to control the pleasure. He looked at her mesmerised seeing her whole face covered in a red hue, as she looked at him. she bit her lower lip making him groan unconsciously as she eyed the haldi mark on his cheek and said softly, "Aapke cheek pe to haldi dikh rahi hai."
It was just a bare whisper, if he wasn't close he wouldn't have heard her, he whispered back, "Wipe it off!"
She raised her hand, and wiped the remaining mark with her fingers and thumb caressing his cheek softly, he was looking at her lost and leaned down eyeing her lips, she blushed for a second but leaned back to him tilting her head a little waiting for him to kiss her. Their lips brushed to each others softly, making her sigh and open hers a little, he was gonna dive in to kiss her when they heard the bell ring and Ishita's voice from outside,
"Taani, are you ready? Jaldi aao bachha, neeche time ho gaya hai...."
Taani moved back startled and Rey groaned loudly wanting to bang his head somewhere, she tried to move but he didn't let her cornering her to wall when she whispered panicked,
"Reyansh, bhabhi hain bahar, chhodiye."
He tried saying, "Koi nahi chali jayengi vo, tum ruko."
But she tried removing his hand, "Kesi baatein kar rahe hain, chhodiye na, lemme go."
He tried to say, "But...."
She didn't realise what she said in panic and blurted, "I promise haldi ke baad I am all yours, but abhi jaane dijiye."
She said and tried to glance at the door concerned, while he smirked hearing her, she didn't realise what she said even now, and asked, "Promise?"
And she replied back urgently, "Haan promise!"
He wanted to laugh at her innocence, in her panicked state she was promising whatever that came to her mind and said shrugging, "Okay, go!"
"Haan okay, aap bhi jaiye."
When she heard Swadhinta this time, "Taani, kahan ho bachha?"
She shouted, "Aaa rahi hun bhabhi."
And moved away, laughing at her he jumped out of the window and seeing he was gone Taani straightened herself up, and opened the door smiling at them hesitatingly, they looked at her amused seeing her whole face flushed and breath uneven. Twinkle asked her,
"Kya hua Taani, tum itni red kyu ho rahi ho?"
They looked at her concerned while she looked at them wide eyed, not knowing what to answer, then said stammering, "Vo .....vo.......Garmi! Haan kitni garmi hai Udaipur mein, or mene dhyaan nahi diya ki room ka AC bhi off tha to bas..........."
They all brought her words, and then Kanchi said rushing, "Offo ye baatein hoti rahengi, chalo, everyone is waiting downstairs."
Taani heaved a sigh of relief as they all believed her, and left with them as the girls flanked her from all sides. Even Taara, Sharon and Naina joined them. Here outside in the garden, it was decorated beautifully with marigold flowers and yellow theme, sitting arrangements for guests and a dias for the couple for their haldi ritual.
The girls looked around in awe, as they moved ahead. They all smiled at the whole family who were already at the dias, Rey was sitting on his chair in the big vessel. The elders smiled as Rajni spoke in Punjabi,
"Hayee main sadke jaavan, kinni soni lag rahi ho Taani tum!"
All smiled ushering her forward, while Sheetal rolled her eyes, she was just waiting for a moment to teach taani a lesson and she knew she will get one now. She softly rubbed her hands getting ready.
The girls made Taani sit on her chair and Sanskar exclaimed, "Bhabhi kya kamaal lag rahe ho, bhai se shaadi nahi hone vali hoti na, to main bhaga ke le jata."
Taani giggled hearing him, whiel Rey agve him stern eyes, telling him not to even think about it, and Sanskar raised his hands in surrender, "Okay okay bhai mazak tha, aise nighahon se nishana banake marne ki koshish to mat karo. Iklauta devar hun bhabhi ka..........."
Rey rolled his eyes at his nautanki when Karan asked, "Oye Bandar, chup hone ka kya lega?"
Sanskar pouted, when Naian said, "Bhai, Bandar hai na, banana's dene ka try kariye, shayad shaant ho jaye." All laughed as Sanskar made a face, and Vandana squeezed his cheeks,
"Awe mera bachha. Bas karo, khabardar isse or pareshan kiya to............"
All stopped laughing when Gauri said, "Chalo, haldi lagayi jaye? Kyu Taani Rey?"
The duo smiled nodding slightly, when Harsh said, "Pehle rasam karte hain, fir tum sba masti karlena, okay?"
The youngsters cheered and Rey made a scary face knowing what was about to come, and Veer said, "Haan daadu, hum masti bhi karenge or revenge bhi lenge."
All the brothers and bhabhi's rubbed their hands evilly and Rey made a puppy face in front fo elders who were laughing, Rishi said shrugging, "Humare haath mein nahi hai kuch, ye inki shaadi mein badmashi se pehle sochna chahiye tha."
Rey looked down finding no support when Rajni said, "Achha chalo chalo, pehle Rey ko haldi lagegi fir uski jhoothi haldi Taani ko, uske baad ye dono tum sabke hawale."
All youngsters hooted as guests were enjoying this and also the great food and games arrangement done by the Singhania's, even Harshali and vansh were with kids. First, both Rajni and Harsh came forward, taking the grass bunches they dipped it in the oil and turmeric paste before touching it on Rey's head, then shoulders, then elbows, knees and ta last feet, and then smudged Haldi on his cheeks. Rey kissed Rajni's head and then took their blessings. Tanai was sitting there smiling at them.
Din shagna da chadheya
Aao sakhiyon ni vehra sajeya
Then Rajesh and Vandana came repeating it all just like their parents did, then Ranvijay and Avantika and at last Gauri. Followed by KarNa, and IshVeer.

Sajna milan vadhaiyan
Harshali and Vansh came running shouting, "Hum bhi haldi lagaenge!"
Everybody laughed and Amna helped both putting Haldi on Rey, they were gonna do with Taani when Amna stopped them saying, "Abhi nahi, chachi ko chachu ke baad."
The kids nodded and hopped towards their grandparents.

SwaDarsh came next doing the same, then TwiDarth and at last MishKan, they all put Haldi on Rey in loads of amount, after that Sanskar came, and Naina followed by Swaron, Ashish and Taara. They all didn't even leave a chance to make Rey sulk.

Raj and Sheetal came there doing the ritual and Rey looked at them with a straight face, they smiled extra sweetly at him and he gave a stern look in return making his family sigh. The duo wnet back, and Rey's all sis-in-laws came forward and removed small amount of haldi from his face and arms mixing it in the bowl for Taani. Taara exclaimed happily, "Your turn Taani bhabhi!"
Wo ho...
she gulped looking at everybody's smirking faces, first Rajni and Harsh came repeating what they did with Rey, taking the grass bundle and touching it on her temple, then shoulders, then elbows, knees and feet. Before taking the haldi paste and applying it. The duo kissed her forehead and Rey pouted, "Mujeh to nahi kiya........"
The duo laughed and kissed him too. Then Rajesh and Vandana did the same, Rajesh turned money over Taani's head and gave it aside, patting her head and VAndana kissed her head too, "mera bachha!"
Ranvijay and Avantiak came there doing the ritual, caressed Taani's cheek blessing her and Ranvijay did what Rajesh did. And Rishi and Gauri too did same, when Gauri said, "Iss badmash ka dhyaan rakhna."
Tanai nodded promising them, as they caressed her head.

KarNa came there doing the ritual, they smiled widely at the couple doing the ritual and called Harshali who put Haldi on Taani giggling. Taani took some amount and smudged on Harshali's cheek who guffawed loudly jumping. Ishveer came there doing the ritual, and Vansh did and Taani applied Haldi on him too, he whined trying to wipe it off making everybody laugh but taani pulled him closer and gobbled his other cheek tickling him as he laughed loudly, "Chachi....chachi....nahiiiii! hahahhaah!"
Taani laughed making him sit on her lap, as all laughed at the duo, he settled comfortably there while SwaDarsh came there doing the ritual. Swadhinta laughing put Haldi on Vansh again who giggled laughing, "Chachii pleaseeee!"

"Chachi ka bachha!" Swadhinta said pulling his cheek and kissing it, TwiDarth came there doing the ritual and then MishKan, followed by Swaron, and Sanskar, the latter kissed Taani's forehead and Vansh's too. Naina came there doing the ritual, and taking some of her, Taani put it on Naina who's eyes widened as the latter whispered, "Dulhan ki jhoothi haldi shubh hoti hai."
Naina blushed looking down and then taara came there too, Taani did the same wth her making her blush too.

It was Raj and Sheetal's turn, Rey stiffened seeing the duo coming towards Taani, but sat there silently. Raj did the ritual, smirking at Sheetal, who agve one back. She did the ritual with Taani making her eyes water slightly, she looked at Sheetal with a innocent smile not aware about what her mother had in her mind, the lady smiled back softly making taani's heart melt. She looked at her mother with love, as Sheetal rubbed her hands and then smearing them in paste rubbed it on Taani's cheek. The girl looked at her parents with love, thankful to them for this small gesture. The duo moved back and everybody took a breath of relief they didn't knew they held.

Siddharth said, "Ab rasm puir hui, tooooo.................."
Rey raised his brows and he herad his brother's shout,
"Attack!"
His eyes widened and before they could have known, taarey were smeared in HAldi from head to toe as all the youngsters jumped on them. The guests laughed at their funny state, they looked like yellow monsters. Rey looked at them fiercely, and Taking the paste threw it on Sanskar, he made a touck face as everybody burst out laughing and painted him too.

Taani too put Haldi on the girls who tried to run away but couldn't, they all laughed as the small Haldi ceremony turned to a Holi party. Soon, everybody was painted in Haldi apart from the elders, the kids looked at the evilly, while the looked at the youngsters horrified. They shook their heads telling them not to even think about it but soon, all the kids jumped on them smearing the paste on them too.

All burts out laughing, as all the couples reminisced about their own Haldi rituals and how they went, their eyes dreamy. They were still playing Haldi, when Taani suddenly started coughing, Naina looked at her and rubbed her back trying to calm her down but the opposite happened. Her cough intensified, and she started perspirating, sweat dripped down her forehead as tears came in her eyes coughing loudly. Sheetal smirked looking at her, as she looked at Taani going red due to breathlessness. Naina got worried and said,
"Bhabhi you okay?"
Taani tried to speak but couldn't because of continuous coughs, NAina shouted gaining everybody's attention,
"Rey bhaiya, bhabhi ko dekho."
All heads snapped in taani's direction, their eyes widened seeing her state, and Rey rushed towards her holding Taani slightly, he said panicking, "Tani...Taani, kya hua jaan?"
Tanai couldn't answer him, she was feeling itchy all over, she tried sctarching her skin as red rashes formed there, and Rey tried to stop her. everybody was shocked ta her condition and rushed to her scared, Avantika asked worried as hell, "Kya hua bachha? Taani?"
"Taani....you okay?"
"Bhabhi?"
She heard various worried voices who were panicked, she tried speaking but couldn't as she was on verge of falling due to coughing non-stop. Rey got hell worried, tears came in his eyes at her condition and Adarhs said gaining everybody's attention, "Rey isko room mein leke chal, main staff se bolta hun to call a doctor.."
Saying that Adarsh rushed out followed by Mishkat, and Rey hearing him took taani in his arms and carried her to her room. Everybody followed him apart from Raj and Sheetal who gave each other a happy look, before following them, and Karan asked the guests to take rest and relax themselves before rushing towards Taani's room.
**********************************************************************************Avantika was sitting on bed with Taani's head in her lap and Rey was sitting beside her too holding her head while the doctor checked her. Tanai was in deep slumber after the doctor gave her a injection and the girls cleaned her haldi off. Her skin had got red due to scratching and small rashes were there. Rey was still shaken seeing her condition, and was silent, Veer was standing beside him holding his shoulder supporting him while everybody else apart from Taani's parents were in the room.
They all were hell worried, the doctor stood up after injecting her and Rajni asked her scared for her little girl, "Doctor, how is she? Kya hua tha? Taani ki ye condition............"
The doctor looked at them and asked softly, "Tenstion lene ki baat nahi hai, patient ko allergic reaction hua hai, unhe kisi cheez se allergy hai?"
Vandana immediately nodded, "Ji doctor, Taani ko rai se allergy hai."
They all knew about taani's allergy, hence the hotel had strict orders not to include it in any food item or pooja item, the doctor nodded,
"Hnn, she must have come in contact with it by mistake, aise allergic reactions hote hain. Darna ki bata nahi hai, mene injection de diya hai. She will be fine, haan skin pe rashes hain to ye cream likh rahi hun, ye use kariye two days, rashes chale jayenge."
All nodded, Rey was still silent looking at her, caressing her head holding her one hand in a tight fist, everybody thanked the doctor and Mishkat went to escort her out, all were looking at her worried, Harshali shook Amna's hand and asked scared, "Ammi, Tanu chachi ko kya hua?"
Vansh too was looking sad, when Karan bent down, "Kuch nahi hua meri jaan, Tanu chachi bilkul thik hai, she is strong girl like you both kids, haina?"
The kids nodded and Veer looked at Taara and Naina, "Naina, Taara, tum dono bachon ko apne saath le jayo, tum sab rest karlo."
The girls nodded looking at each other, worried for Taani, they went towards Taani and bending down kissed her cheek one by one whispering, "Get well soon bhabhi."
The kids did the same, "Chachi, we miss you, please jaldi thik ho jao."
Rey felt a tear sliding down his eye as he heard the kids and everybody noticed it, they weren't astonished, they knew Taani mattered so much to Rey. She has become his life since she entered his life. As soon as the four left, Ashish said, "How is this possible? We made sure shaadi mein Rai kahin bhi na use ho, Taani kese rai ke contact mein aa sakti hai? Haldi ke bhi kisi samaan mein rai nahi tha......"
They all were busy thinking, when Sharon said with disgust, "Main to yeh soch rahi hun, how disgusting her parents are, she is here in such a condition and they didn't even bother asking about her once."
Avantika was sobbing caressing Taani's head, seeing the girl's state, and Sanskar tried to calm her down himself on verge of crying seeing Taani when Rajesh said angrily, "Achha hi hai vo yahan nahi hai, Taani ko kisi jhoothe pyara or sympathy ki zarurat nahi hai, hum sba hai uske liye."
Mishkat came back, when Swayam said gaining everybody's attention, "Main jake haldi ki testing karwata hun..................I am sure Taani ne kuch khaya nahi hai jisme Rai ho, we all ate what she did, it's pakka something in the paste."
They all nodded, and Ashish said, "Main bhi aata hun."
Swayama nd Ashish left the room when Avantika said crying, "Mujhe lag hi raha tha kuch hone vala hai, itni nazar lag gayi meri bachhi ko."
Sanskar shook his head, "Avu maa, ro nahi na please. Bhabhi is okay, she is our strong bhabhi."
Rey who was silent till now, said trying to calm his nerves, "Aap sab jake rest kijiye, main hun yahan Taani ke pas."
Kanchi shook her head saying immediately, "Nahi, pagal hai kya Rey, hum mein se koi Taani ko iss haalat mein chhodke rest nahi kar payega."
Veer nodded, "Kannu is right, hum sab yahin hain tum dono ke sath."
All nodded and sprawled around in taani's room, when Rey requested Harsh and Rajni, "Daadu, daadi aap dono to jake rest kijiye, itni tension aap dono ke liye thik nahi."
They tried to deny when Rishi said, "Rey sahi keh raha hai mummy, aap dono jaiye, hum bata denge jese hi Taani bête ko hosh aata hai."
Harsh and Rajni sighed in defeat, caressing taani's head Harsh said, "Jaldi thik hoja beta, apne daadu ko aise nahi darate." Daadi kissed her forehead and after caressing Rey's head they both left.
