Ash and Gary just came back from a morning of intense training. While training they met up with Greninja and the Zygarde brothers wich resulted in Greninja joining back on the team and both Ash and Gary getting a keystone. Ash got a Charizardite Y and a Sceptilite while Gary got a Blastoisite.
After training they went home to get lunch and after that they planned to go to the Wetlands with Serena to see Goodra and Keenan.
Gary grabbed a sandwich and sat down until Ash spoke up.
Ash: Ready to go Gary?
Gary: Huh?? I just sat down! How can you be done eating already?
Ash: As soon as we got home I sprinted towards the fridge. He said while chuckling.
Gary: Typical Ash... We'll get going in like 30 minutes, just take a break for now Ash, otherwise you're gonna over-do it.
Ash: Ok ok. You wanna fly there or just walk?
Gary: Flying is definetly quicker but Serena is coming too so I guess we need to walk.
Ash: Nah, don't worry. I'll take Pidgeot and she can get on it with me.
"Ofcourse you want that, don't you Ashy-boy." Gary said in a teasing way.
"Stop with that name Gary!" Ash said while blushing a bit.
"Anyway, I'm gonna switch the team around." He said as he was about to walk off.
Gary: Wich pokemon are you taking Ash?
Ash: Pidgeot plus the Kalos team! Except for Greninja ofcourse, but you know that reason.
Gary: Ok!
Ash walked to the backyard and saw Greninja leaning against a tree.
Ash: Greninja!
Greninja noticed Ash and walked over to him.
Ash: I'm going to the Wetlands with the Kalos team. I really want to take you with me but you know I can't yet.
Greninja: Gren!
Ash: I need to show you something Greninja, Bulbasaur! Come on over here!
Bulbasaur walked over and Greninja looked curious to see what Ash wanted to show him.
Ash: Bulbasaur, can you call all the pokemon over here? He said while releasing Charizard, Infernape, Sceptile and Krookodile.
Bulbasaur launched a couple seeds into the air, exploding in the right colours for every region and after a while all Ash's pokemon appeared.
Ash: Greninja, this is the new seed calling system we implemented. The only thing you need to know is, when the purple colour is in the sky, you need to come over ok?
Greninja: Gren!
Then Ash turned to all his pokemon.
Ash: Ok everyone, I want you to meet my old friend Greninja!
All pokemon roared happily and smiled at him. Sceptile and Greninja immediately found eachother since they have similar personality traits.
Ash: I'm going to the Wetlands in around 25 minutes guys, I need Pidgeot, Talonflame, Noivern and Hawlucha with me.
"HawluCHAA!"
"Flame!"
"Noiverrrnnn!"
"Pidgeott!"
Ash returned them to their pokeballs and went over to Serena's.
Ash stood infront of the door and Knocked. After waiting a couple seconds Grace opened.
Grace: Hi Ash! I think your here for Serena? Come in.
Ash: Hi Grace! And yeah... You guessed right. He said while smiling.
Ash followed Grace inside and they went to the kitchen.
Grace: Just wait here Ash, Serena will be down in a minute.
"Thanks!" Ash replied as he sat down on a chair.
It didn't take Serena long as Ash could hear her coming down from the stairs.
Serena: Hey mom! I'll go over to Ash's house to see if Ash and Gary are re- "Ash what are you doing here?" She asked Ash with a suprised look on her face.
Ash: Gary was still eating so I thought I'd come over to you to see how you're doing. He said with a smile on his face.
This made Serena smile aswell, the thought of Ash wanting to see her.
Ash: We've got around 20 minutes before we leave so what do you want to do?
Serena: Uhm.. You could tell me about what you did the last two years? I mean.. since I left for Hoenn and you went home..
Ash: Sure! Let's see.. he said while thinking.
Ash: I went back to Pallet Town after we left Kalos. I stayed there for a couple days until my mom won 3 tickets for a vacation to Alola.
Serena: You've been to Alola? I always wanted to go there!
Ash: Yeah! It's super cool! There are 4 Islands. First off you have the main Island named Melemele Island, that's where I stayed and where I attended to the pokemon school!
Serena: really? You went to a pokemon school?
Ash: Yup! And it was loads of fun! I made loads of friends like
Mallow,
Lillie, Lana, Kiawe and more. My main rival there was Gladion.
Serena: Wait!? Kiawe and Gladion of the Alolan Elite Four right?
Ash: Yeah! They're good friends of mine!
Then Ash tells everything about Alola except that he's the champion of Alola.
After a while Gary came over.
Serena: Mom We're going!
Grace: Sure, have fun honey!
Serena: Thanks mom, Bye! As she walked through the door.
Both Ash and Gary released their Pidgeot.
Serena: We're flying again?
Gary: Again?
Ash: Long story Gary.. But yeah.
Serena: O-ok... She said a bit freightened.
Ash: Do you wanna fly on Noivern or do you want up at Pidgeot's back with me Serena?
Serena: Uhmm.. I-i think I'll go for the second option..
Ash: Ok, don't worry Serena, I'm right behind you and you know Pidgeot is a good and gentle flyer.
Serena: Y-yeah you're right..
Gary starts to chuckle a bit.
Serena: Why are you laughing Gary!? She said in a serious tone.
Gary: It's nothing, just that your boyfriend takes good care of you. He said while grinning.
Serena: B-boyfriend??
Ash: Stop it Gary!
Both of Ash and Serena were blushing and this made Pikachu and Riolu laugh aswell.
Ash: Cut it out guys!
Gary: Yeah yeah.. Fine.. We need to go anyways.. As he climbs up on his Pidgeot's back.
Ash helped Serena to get up first and he got on it after, sitting behind her so he could hold her tight to make her feel safe.
Pikachu and Riolu got up with Gary so Ash's Pidgeot's wouldn't have to carry too much weight.
After a hour flying they landed at the cabin where Keenan lives located in the wetlands.
Ash knocked on the door and Keenan opened.
Keenan: Hello Ash and Serena! What a pleasant suprise!
Ash: Hello Keenan! We came here to see Goodra and for Gary so he can do some research on the pokemon here.
Keenan: Hmm, interesting... You are a pokemon researcher? He said while looking at Gary.
Gary: Right! Gary Oak, at your service!
Keenan: Gary Oak? Then you must be the grandson of professor Oak!
Gary: Correct!
Keenan: Good! I think I might be able to help you with your research since I'm the one who takes care of this place.
Gary: That would be great! Thanks a lot!
Ash: Gary, We'll get going towards the spring to see Goodra, you join us there later?
Gary: Yeah I will Ash, i'll see you there.
Ash: Ok, bye Gary and Keenan! C'mon Serena! He said while starting to walk out.
"Right!" Serena replied doing a little hop to get next to him as they went on their way.
Ash and Serena walked over a road of wooden planks so they didn't have to go through the mud and tall grass.
Ash: Hey Serena?
Serena: What is it Ash? She asked in a curious way.
Ash: I'm really excited to see Goodra again after such a long time!
Serena: Yeah I can feel it! She said while smiling at Ash.
Ash: What do you mean?
Serena: Well, I can feel your excitement, it's just your personality is reaching over to other people.
Ash: Do I really do that? He looked suprised towards Serena.
Serena started laughing while saying "Yeah Ash, you do."
This made Ash smile aswell.
They arrived at the spring and Ash saw his old friend already.
"Goodra!!" Ash yelled.
Goodra: Goo?? He looks up while turning around.
"GOODRAAAA!!" He shouts as he sees Ash.
Ash and Serena ran towards Goodra.
"Hey Goodra! It's so good to see you again!" Serena said.
Goodra replied with a happy smile and he hugged Serena.
Ash: How've you been buddy? Still protecting the Wetlands?
Goodra: Goo!! While raising his arms and showing his biceps.
They talked for a while and later on Gary and Keenan joined them aswell. They went over to the spring where Florges and the other pokemon of the Wetlands were.
Gary: So this is the spring that can heal pokemon?
Keenan: That's right. But I think pokemon like Florges use healing moves on the water wich somehow boost the effects of it.
Gary: Interesting point. He said while thinking.
Ash and Serena were with Goodra. At this point Ash and Serena released their pokemon so Goodra could see them again.
Serena: They're really happy to see eachother again Ash!
Ash: Yeah, it's amazing to see this. He said with a smile on his face.
They stayed there for a while until it was time to go back.
Ash: Goodra? I think it's time for us to leave now.
Goodra started to look down as it was sad Ash had to leave.
Serena: Don't be down Goodra, We'll come and visit you every once in a while. She said trying to cheer it up.
Ash: Yeah and I need you in my battles too!
Goodra looked up and smiled at them while saying "Goodraaa."
Ash and Serena returned their pokemon except for Pidgeot.
Gary also released his Pidgeot.
Serena and Ash went on Ash's Pidgeot while Pikachu and Riolu joined Gary.
After a while they got back and landed in Vaniville Town. Gary, Pikachu and Riolu went inside already while Ash and Serena were still talking for a bit.
"Today was really amazing, wasn't it Ash?" Serena asked.
"Yeah, it definetly was Serena! Ash said as he smiled at Serena.
Serena gave Ash a hug while saying "Thanks Ash.."
Ash hugged her back and smiled.
When they broke the hug Serena gave Ash a small peck on his cheek wich made both of them blush badly.
Ash: W-what was that f-for?
"A thank you for today" serena said while she giggled.
Ash was a bit confused but he shook it off for now.
Ash: Guess I'll see you tomorrow Serena?
Serena: Yeah but I've got school first remember?
Ash: Oh yeah, I forgot... He said while scratching his neck out of embarrassement.
Serena: Bye Ash! She said while she waved at him.
Ash: Bye Serena! He said while waving back.
They both went inside their house and had dinner.
After dinner Ash and Gary watched some tv to relax a bit.
Ash: Hey Gary, I think we should try our Mega Evolution now.
Gary: What do you mean Ash?
Ash: We'll i've seen situations where the Mega Evolution went wrong and I want to make sure it works perfectly fine for us!
Gary: Yeah I guess you're right.
Both Ash and Gary went to the backyard and called out Charizard, Sceptile and Blastoise.
Gary: I'll try first. He said while giving Blastoise the Blastoisite.
"Keystone respond to our bond, Blastoise! Mega Evolve!!"
Blastoise's appearance changed.
Ash: That looks good Gary!
Gary: Yeah but just to make sure it hears me too, Blastoise use Hydro Cannon on that tree! Points towards a tree.
Blastoise: Blast!
He fired off a ball of water at a tree wich immediately broke in half.
Gary: Yep, I think we won't have problems! Blastoise reverted back to normal in the meantime.
Ash: Alright, now it's my turn! Charizard you go first ok?
Charizard: RWUOAARR
Ash gave Charizard the Charizardite Y.
"Keystone, respond to my heart! Beyond evolution, Charizard! Mega Evolve!" Ash said.
Charizard started to glow and changed into Charizard Y.
Ash: Great! Charizard use Dragon Tail on that rock! As he pointed towards a rock.
Charizard: RWUOAARRRRR.
Charizard flew up, his tail started to glow green and scales appeared. He did a frontflip and smashed his tail into the rock wich exploded on contact.
Ash: Amazing Charizard!! He shouted happily.
"Now it's your turn Sceptile!"
"Scep!" Sceptile shouted excited.
Ash handed over the Sceptilite and bound it around his neck using the same handkerchief he used for Serena many years ago.
(Just like how Sawyer has it in the anime)
Ash: Alright Sceptile! Bind us using our bond and love, Sceptile! Mega Evolve!!
Sceptile started to glow and changed into Mega Sceptile.
Ash: Alright Sceptile! Use Leaf Blade on those trees! Pointing towards a couple trees.
Sceptile dashed towards it at a higher speed than normal and sliced through them using his green glowing blades on his arms.
Ash: Sceptile did everything perfectly too! This is amazing!
Sceptile reverted back to normal and smiled just like Charizard and Blastoise.
Gary: Now we're all set for tomorrow, I'm going to bed! Goodnight Ash. As he started to yawn.
Ash: Goodnight Gary!
Gary went inside and straight towards bed while Ash was still outside.
"I'll call him quickly before I go to bed." Ash thought to him self as he grabbed his red Rotom phone.
Ash pressed on someone's number and he started the call. After a little moment it got picked up.
???: Hello? Ash what is it?
Ash: Hey Gladion! Where are you now?
Gladion: I'm in Kalos now.
Ash: Great! How is the search for your dad going?
Gladion: We're still searching but we'll find him eventually! I'll make sure of it!
Ash: Great! But the reason I'm calling you is I need your help tomorrow...
