Aaliyah pov
Emmett strived towards us and took my other hand. He tugged me towards him making the other person to leave his hand. Emmett wrapped his arm around my waist possessively keeping me close.
"What were you doing, behaving to her like that" Emmett asked the person.
"Come on man. You know, I like woman. So I was trying to get her. Well who is she, I haven't seen this hot piece anywhere here before" the guy said checking me out. I didn't like that so I moved towards Emmett even more close. He tightened his arm around me protecting me. And I felt safe.
"Don't talk about her like that. She is not one of your woman okay. Stay away from her" Emmett hissed at him.
"You know girls try to get it hard. Even she is like that. You give them money and they will fall at your feet. But why are protecting her" he asked. I glared at him. He thinks girls are easy and fall for money.
"Because she is my wife you jerk and she is not like everyone" Emmett yelled at him. I looked up at him in shock.
Wait! He called me his wife.
"What" the person shouted too. But my eyes were fixed on Emmett. He was glaring at Jacob keeping me close to him.
"If you lay a finger on her, I will kick you out of my building" he said glaring at the person. He turned around with me and started walking to his office. We went inside and he took my hand which the guy has held.
"Did he hurt you" he asked looking at my hand. I shook my head. I am not able to speak. His concern to me shut me up.
The door to his office opened making us to look at the person. It was the same guy who was trying to get me.
"No way in hell you can be married. You won't do such a thing without telling your bestfriend. Right!" Jacob asked still in shock. I looked back at Emmett. He was looking at me.
"Did you bring the files" he asked. I nod my head taking the files from my bag. He took them and placed on the table. He turned to me smiling.
"Come on we will go for lunch" he said. I just blinked my eyes at him. Didn't he say he had an important meeting.
"But you said you had an important meeting in the afternoon" I asked.
"Why you both are ignoring me" we turned to the guy who was looking at us with blank face. Emmett sighed and pulled me towards him by my waist.
Why is he being all touchy today?
Don't say you are not liking it.
"Jacob meet my wife Aaliyah Robinson" Emmett said. I just stood there not knowing what to do. What has happened to him since yesterday.
"Won't you introduce me to her" Jacob said narrowing his eyes at Emmett.
"Why should I, you were forcing her just few minutes ago. So I think she should be away from you" Emmett said.
"Okay. I am sorry about that. I thought girls will like it when we play to get hard. She did tell she is married but I wanted to you know....." Jacob shrugged his shoulders. Emmett tightened his arm around me.
"You wanted to..." I asked confused. Both of them looked at me in surprise. The guy coughed clearing his throat.
"I am sorry for how I behaved back there" he said.
"It's okay. But don't ever think girls are after money. Not everyone is like that" I said. He smiled at me.
"Where did you find her?" he asked Emmett and then turned to me "And if you ever leave him. My arms will be always open for you darling. Anytime" he said winking at me spreading his arms. I giggled at him finding it funny.
"In your dreams because I won't let her leave" Emmett said kissing my forehead. I looked at him with wide eyes. He looked down at me. He smirked and gave me a wink.
Am I in heaven today.
Emmett chuckled pulling me more close to him. He leaned down to my ear.
"You are not in heaven. I can prove you that" he whispered and looked at me. I blushed looking down.
"Ok guys, there is still a person here. But when did you get married Emmett and why was I not aware of this" Jacob asked crossing his arms.
"You are not very important in my life" Emmett said looking at him with blank face. Jacob placed his hand on his chest.
"I went to other country just for few months and my bestfriend has forgotten me. What a friend I have? I can't stand a single minute here. I am going" Jacob said dramatically. I was controlling my laugh still standing in Emmett's arms.
"You are welcome to go" Emmett said pulling me out of his office.
"Hey I came to meet you. You can't leave me" Jacob said running behind us.
"Not today, I am taking Aaliyah to lunch" Emmett said.
"But you always work and doesn't have time for me. And Aaliyah how did you marry this workaholic man" Jacob asked.
I didn't get to answer because Emmett pulled me into the elevator and waved at Jacob closing the elevator. Jacob was giving Emmett a glare before the door was closed.
Soon my back was hit by the elevator wall as Emmett caged me with his arms. I looked up into his eyes. His eyes were shinning with excitement.
"You have any place in mind you want to go" he asked nuzzling his face in my neck. I grabbed onto his coat tightly.
"You sai...said, you have a mee.. meeting" I shuttered. His closeness was making me nervous. A moan left my mouth when he sucked my neck.
"I did. But it got cancelled, so I thought to take you for lunch" he said kissing my neck. Without knowing I pulled him closer to me.
"Why?" I asked with doubt. He kissed behind my ear making me shuddered. What is he doing to me.
"You don't like me taking you to lunch" he said pulling away from me and looked into my eyes.
"No no, I like it" I said immediately. I did a mental dance in my mind. He is taking me out.
"Good" he said kissing my cheek. I blushed looking down.
The elevator door opened and Emmett pulled away from me. He took my hand and pulled me out towards his car. I heard my name being called from behind me. I turned around and saw Nate jogging towards me. I pulled my hand out of Emmett and rushed to Nate. I hugged him tightly, I missed him.
"What are you doing here" he asked pulling away from me.
"I came to give files to Emmett" I said. Nate looked at me.
"Does Sebastian knows you are with him" he asked. I shook my head.
Sebastian gave me strict order not to talk to Emmett or be with him.
"He will be mad if he finds outs. I don't want you to get hurt again" he said putting his hands on my shoulders. I looked down.
Am I doing wrong again? Am I letting Emmett to hurt me again? It feels wrong but right at the same time. What should I do?
"Aaliyah we have to go" I heard deep voice of Emmett. I looked at him, his face was hard glaring at Nate's hands which was placed on my shoulders.
"I hope you know what you are doing. I am going to meet Sebastian" Nate said leaving me. He went towards his car. I felt a hand grab mine and pulled me towards his car. He made me sit in his passenger seat and drove off quickly from his building.
I looked out of the window thinking about Nate's words.
I don't want you to get hurt again.
What should I do. My mind is telling me to run away from Emmett and hide. But my heart is saying me to trust him again. Trust on us. But the things he said and did is still in my mind. I am scared if he will hurt me more than he did. Am I ready to face that.
Is he willing to give us a chance.
"Aaliyah" I heard Emmett voice. I turned to him and found him looking at me. I looked around and found that he had parked his car at the side of the road. I looked at him again. He lifted his hand and wiped my face with his thumb looking into my eyes.
Then I felt a tear fall from my eye. I was crying. I looked down and tried to break from his hold. But he held my face in his hands making me to look at him. His face is showing concern.
"I am sorry. I am so sorry. I know I am the reason for the tears in your eyes. I regret everything I did and told you. Please forgive me. I know I shouldn't have judged you. But I am willing to get to know you. I don't want you to stay away from me. I really do like to know you. Are you willing to give me a chance" he asked caressing my cheek. I looked into his eyes.
His eyes held regret and hope.
He is asking for a chance. If he had asked me few months back, I would have said yes. But now, I don't want to get hurt. What should I do if he hurt me again. I can't take that pain again. But seeing him asking for a chance now, I don't know.
"I can see your hesitation in your eyes. I know I don't deserve you after how I have treated you. Believe me, I will not hurt you again. I promise. I will do anything you say. Please give me a chance" he pleaded. My head moved up and down nodding at him. His lips broke into a smile and kissed my forehead keeping his lips there for a minute. I closed my eyes enjoying the feeling.
I hope you won't break your promise because if you do, I will not be the same Aaliyah.
I love you Emmett. I love you so much.
He pulled away and I opened my eyes. He looked at me and smiled.
"We will start of with friends. We will get to know each other first. Is that okay" he asked.
"Okay" I whispered.
Soon we reached a restaurant. Emmett was happy having lunch with me. He started asking questions about my likes and dislikes. Even I asked few. I already know few of his likes and dislikes but I didn't say anything about that. I learnt few of them new. It was good. He said he is been friends with Jacob since college.
We came back to his building. He bid me a goodbye before going in. I went back to his car BMW suv I bought here and went back home.
All the way along, a small smile was dancing on my face. I am extremely happy that he is willing to get to know me. I am over the moon.
He doesn't back out again right. He will not leave again right.
All I have to do is wait and hope.
