Y/n knocked on Minju's open door.
"Hey."
"Hey."
"Your room looks a lot nicer than I thought it would."
Minju scoffed, "What's that supposed to mean?"
"I don't know, I just didn't expect it to look this nice."
"Thanks."
"No problem."
"What did you come up here for?"
"To keep you company."
"Awwww... Thanks."
Y/n sat on the floor next to Minju's bed.
"Are we still going to hold off on the school stuff? Or do you want to do it now that you're out of bed?"
"Might as well do it after breakfast."
Y/n nodded, "That works with me."
Not long after Y/n settled down, Mrs. Kim appeared at the open door frame.
"Breakfast is ready."
Minju looked at her mother, and nodded.
"Okay."
Minju motioned to head over to the kitchen as she stood on her feet. Y/n followed in suit, still hesitant to walk with Minju.
Why am I so apprehensive? I'm used to talking to her parents now.
Y/n sat down at the table, looking at the food in front of him.
This looks good.
Y/n watched Minju begin eating before starting himself.
"So Y/n." Mr. Kim started, "How is school for you?"
"It's not bad. I'm not a super genius like your daughter, but I'm managing."
Mr. Kim chuckled.
"Super genius... That's my girl."
Minju cringed as she heard the conversation between the two guys.
"Dad!"
"What? He said it himself."
"But it's different when you say it."
"Ouch... I'm sensing bias here."
Y/n nodded, "My bias sensor is going haywire. Maybe it's the person right next to me-"
"Ya, don't fan the flames."
"I can't stay warm with just embers."
Mr. Kim held out his fist.
"Nice one."
Y/n bumped fists with the older man, smiling widely.
They're ganging up on me...
Minju turned to her mother.
"Mom! Do something about this!!"
"Do what? They're not doing anything bad, they're just having fun."
"You sound like a child Min."
Mr. Kim raised an eyebrow, looking at the two. "Min? I don't remember you having a nickname for her yesterday."
"He was probably too shy to call her by her nickname." Mrs. Kim replied.
Mr. Kim nodded, "You're right."
Minju pouted as she poked at her food.
"No fair..."
As breakfast came to a close, Minju took Y/n's plate, stacking it on her own.
"Head up before me. I'm going to give these to my mom."
"''Kay."
Y/n walked up the stairs, moving his bag from his room to Minju's.
What homework do I even have?
Y/n rummaged through his bag, pulling out the multiple papers he neglected to do.
"Physics?!"
"What's wrong with physics?"
Y/n turned around with the paper still in his hands.
"I hate physics."
"Why?"
"It's so unnecessarily complicated."
"I think you're just not paying attention."
"I don't want to hear it from you super genius. You're probably well versed in quantum physics right now."
"I do know a little quantum mechanics, but it's just extremely surface level stuff."
"See?! Super genius!"
"You're just overreacting. You should see my old friend. Even though he spent all of his time on his phone, he understood everything around him."
"You're just smart. Don't try to change the subject."
Minju rolled her eyes, "Whatever. Just sit down at my desk."
Y/n did as told, placing the paper down in front of him.
"Okay, Ms. Kim. How do I do this?"
"These are just standard graphs Y/n. Do you know how to read a graph?"
"Yes..."
"Then this should be easy. It's just distance over time."
"We have to know how to translate distance over time to velocity over time, right?"
"He said he's going to teach that next class."
"Oh..."
"Yeah. So that should be easy. Math is easy as well. It's just pre-calc."
"What did we do in pre-calc?"
"Just basic unit circle stuff. You just need to remember a few things."
"What are those 'few things?"
Minju pulled a pencil from her pencil cup at the corner of her desk.
"Don't worry about it. We'll get to it after you do your worksheet."
"Okay."
Y/n stared blankly at his worksheet causing Minju to furrow her eyebrows.
"There's no way..."
"Shut up! I'm going to get it."
"Y/n... Please... It's a graph."
"It's a physics graph!"
"A graph nonetheless. The question is asking how far the car moved in five seconds. Look at the origin, then look at the 'x' axis. Once you get to the five second mark, look at the 'y' axis and tell me how far the car moved."
"Ten meters."
"Good. I hope you know how to answer the next few questions."
Y/n looked at his second question.
"Fifteen meters."
"There you go. See? Easy."
Y/n rolled his eyes, "Whatever."
After breezing through the rest of his worksheet, Y/n moved onto math with a sigh.
"Okay Ms. Kim, how does end behavior work?"
"As the name implies, you're just figuring out how the equation or expression ends."
"How do I do that?"
"First, you look for the highest degree."
"Highest degree?"
"The highest exponent."
"Ohhh... Okay."
"Alright, so once you find your highest degree, you pay attention to only that number. In that number, you only care about if the degree is even, or odd, and if the coefficient is positive, or negative."
"This is a lot to take in."
"Okay, look at problem one. What does the highest degree read?"
"Two 'x' squared."
"Okay. Is the exponent odd, or even?"
"Even."
"Is the coefficient positive, or negative?"
"Positive."
"Okay. That's how you'd figure it out. Now for the rules. You should take your notebook out for this one."
Y/n reached into his backpack, grabbing his designated math notebook.
"Are you ready?"
Y/n nodded.
"So if the exponent is odd, and the coefficient is positive, then the left will fall, and the right will rise."
"Wha..."
"Just keep writing."
"Yes ma'am."
"If the exponent is odd, and the coefficient is negative, then the left will rise, and the right will fall. Did you get all of that?"
"Yes."
"Wow... You write fast."
"Yeah."
That's what happens when I can move at high speeds...
"If the exponent is even, and the coefficient is positive, then both sides will rise. The opposite happens if the coefficient is negative."
"Is that it?"
"No."
"What else do I need to write?"
"You remember how Mr. Oh talked about limits?"
"Yeah."
"Then you should already know how to establish the limits of the 'x' and 'y' axis."
"I just say 'limf(x)' and then put the respective infinity?"
"Yeah."
"And then for 'x' I also say the respective infinity?"
"Correct."
"Is that all?"
"Basically."
"Wow... That's easy."
"Almost as easy as reading a graph."
"Shut up."
Minju giggled, "I'll let you finish the worksheet. Ask me if you need help."
"What are you going to do?"
"Watch you."
"What..."
"I don't plan on doing anything else anyway. I'm here to teach you."
"That's true..."
Y/n looked back at his worksheet before he heard the sound of the front door opening.
"What goes on there?"
"My parents are heading out."
"They are? For how long?"
"Until late at night. Do you want to stay over for dinner? I'm going to order food."
"Uh... Sure."
