Previous Story : Balika Vadhu/Child Marriage. (Published on 08 – Sep – 2021)
I have been working on a story for the last few days, but I kind of lost interest in it, as it was pretty dull. So, I wanted to take a break from that and I remembered this story idea that pqwert207 had suggested long back where she wanted me to write a story where hero and heroine have an age gap of 10 years and are in an arranged marriage. So, I thought I'll write a looooooong drabble on it. 😊
Three things before you read this story.
1. the story has a couple with an age gap of 10 years, and teenaged heroine, so, if you have issues with that then please don't read the story.
2. I've seen an actor calling his wife "Bacha" I thought it was a sweet endearment like how some Malayali husband calls his wife "Molee". So, in this story, a few times I have used that endearment, in one or two places. If you feel weird or uncomfortable with that, then please don't read the story.
3. This doesn't have much of a story, it is just a random scribblings of a day from a couple's life.
"I am home!" Pragya cheerfully says as she walked into her home.
Santoshi frowns seeing her. "Where were you, Pragya? how many times we tried calling you?"
"What happened?" Pragya asks confused as she checked her mobile. "I went for a movie and I had put my phone on silent. 17 missed calls from Mom, 5 from King bhaiyya, 9 from Dad, 3 from Purab bhaiyya, 11 from Aaliyah Bhabhi and 1 from Abhi?" Pragya reads out it shock. "What happened? Is everything alright?"
"You were late! You usually come by 4 and now it is 11. And you had sent the driver home saying you will come by yourself."
"Sorry." Pragya regretfully says.
Santoshi shakes her head. "You should inform before you go like that, right? do you know how worried we were? Prem was going to call the police."
"Awww... sorry, mom." Pragya hugs her as she kissed her. "But I told Priyu when she called me. I told her to tell everyone, didn't you tell them, Priyu?" Pragya asks as she turned to her 4 years old niece.
Priyu in reply ties her hands on her chest and looks away.
"Why is Priyu angry?" Pragya asks cutely as she walked to her best friend in her husband's home.
"I'm katti." Priyu replies.
"Why? What did chachi do?" Pragya asks shocked.
"Humph."
"Oh, is that why, she went to Abhi? to tell him that you went for a movie?" Aaliyah asks curiously.
"YES!" Priyu replies to her mother angrily.
"And what happened?" Pragya asks her curiously.
"He screamed at me!" Priyu says angrily.
Pragya gasps in shock. "He did?"
"Yes! I will not talk to you!"
"But I didn't scream at you, Priyu." Pragya tells her making puppy face.
"And I told you not to go to Abhi. he is in a terrible mood." King tells his daughter.
"But chachi told me to tell everyone." Priyu argues angrily.
"What happened? Why is Abhi angry?" Pragya asks curiously.
"Some employee messed up in office and one shipment is stuck at the port. If he is not able to submit all the papers and get it moving by tomorrow morning, he won't be able to deliver the order in time then he will have to pay a penalty of 1 million." King explains to her.
"Oh no." Pragya says in concern.
"You don't go to him now, Pragya. he is really furious." Santoshi tells her.
"He even screamed at Dad." Aaliyah informs her.
Pragya sighs hearing that.
"It's okay, Priyu. Daddy will scold Abhi Chachu tomorrow." King promises as he picks up his daughter and kisses her. Abhishek's temper was legendary. When he was angry, it didn't matter who was in front of him, he would blast that person. When Abhishek was angry he couldn't see or hear anything. poor Priyu had walked into the lion's den with Pragya's message. Abhishek was forever in a bad mood and they had even hoped after marriage he would tame down a little but he had remained the same. Pragya was the exact opposite of Abhishek, forever happy and always in a party mood. Abhishek was aloof while she gelled up with the whole family within days of their marriage being fixed. Abhishek very early had been set in his ways while Pragya was pretty flexible and accommodating. But then, maybe it all comes down to their ages. Abhishek was 29 while Pragya was just 19.
"Did you have dinner, Pragya?" Santoshi asks her.
"I had dinner with my friends, Mom."
"Okay, then you go sleep. it is late."
Pragya nods and bidding everyone good night, she heads to her room.
"Abhi is in the study, so don't go there." King calls out to her.
Pragya turns and grins at him.
"He is really furious, Pragya. he didn't spare Priyu also today." King warns her.
Pragya looks at Priyu feeling guilty for Abhishek shouting at her unnecessarily.
"He will eat you up." Priyu tells her. "He is Hulk."
Pragya laughs hearing that and heads up the stairs. She sees Prem and Purab walking down the stairs.
"Hello Dad... Hi Purab bhaiyya." Pragya smiles at them.
"Where were you, Pragya?" Prem asks her frowning.
"Went for a movie and dinner with my friends. I had told Priyu to tell you all."
"Priyu was upset because your husband screamed at her." Purab cheekily informs her.
"I hear she is not the only one he screamed at." Pragya cheekily says.
"I'm going to kick your husband out of my house. you should be saying your goodbyes to him now." Prem tells her.
Pragya laughs hearing that. "Everyone knows not to go in front of him when he is angry. Why did you go?"
"Because I was worried for you and went to ask him where you were!" Prem says offended.
"Instead he was told to get out. I told you filing a missing report was better than going to him for information." Purab jokes.
Pragya laughs. "Okay, I am tired. I'm going."
"Stay away from him." Prem warns her.
"There are a few people from office with him. I pity those poor souls." Purab says shaking his head.
"He is a little upset because of this issue." Pragya says in a way to defend her husband and his notorious temper.
And as if in answer, they hear Abhishek's furious voice as he screamed at one of his staff.
Prem raises his eye brow at Pragya. Pragya gives him an embarrassed smile.
"Doesn't he get throat pain with the way he screams at everyone?" Purab asks in shock.
"He keeps drinking black coffee to soothe his throat." Pragya cheekily replies.
"He should be drowned in boiling black coffee." Prem mutters and walks off.
"Now, don't go to irritate him like how you irritate Priyu and me. just go sleep." Purab warns her and runs down the stairs.
Pragya chuckles as she ran up the stairs and instead of their bedroom, she heads to Abhishek's study. As she got closer, she could hear his furious voice. They have been married for months, but every time she hears his raised voice it gives her a pause and it was every day. Pragya opens the study door.
Abhishek furiously turns to look at the door and seeing her at the door, he turns to look at the staff and jerks his head to the door. without a word, they all get up and heads to the door.
"Good evening, Ma'am." They wish her.
"Good evening. How are you all? all good?" Pragya cheerfully wishes them.
"Yes, Madam." Someone mumbles and they hurries out.
After they left Pragya closes the door, she leaves her college bag on one of the chairs and walks to her husband.
Abhishek tiredly shakes his head at her. "I've told you a hundred times to call me when you are late and I would come and pick you up."
"My friends dropped me. It was late when dinner got over, and they would have had to wait till you got there." Pragya tells him as she walked to him and sat on his lap. "King bhaiyya was saying that there is some problem with the shipment." Pragya worriedly asks him.
Abhishek wraps his hands around her waist and holds her close. Smiling lovingly at her, he says "You don't worry about it, I'll handle it."
Pragya smiles hearing that and wraps her hand around his neck. "I know you will handle it. But why are you screaming at everyone?"
"It was their mistake. They have done it a thousand times and how can they just forget to submit the customs clearance paper?" Abhishek asks her shaking his head.
"You screamed at Dad." Pragya reminds him. "He had just come to ask you why I was late."
"Oh that is why he came?" Abhishek asks surprised. "I thought he had come to ask what the issue was."
"You could have explained if he had asked that too."
"I had explained it all to King." Abhishek shrugs.
"And Priyu?"
"What about Priyu?" Abhishek asks confused.
"You screamed at her." Pragya frowns at him.
"Priyu?" Abhishek asks shocked.
"Yes!" Pragya slightly glares at him.
"She came and opened the door. I got irritated and just turned to look who it was. and she just ran off immediately, I didn't even speak to her."
"What?" Pragya asks shocked.
"Yeah... I thought she had come to play here and seeing me angry, she just left."
Pragya chuckles hearing that. "She had come to give a message from me. she told everyone that you screamed at her."
"That little liar." Abhishek chuckles. "Any way how was your movie?"
"How did you know? Priyu had come to tell you that only." Pragya asks surprised.
"Your facebook update." Abhishek replies gesturing to his mobile.
Pragya grins hearing that. that explains why he had called her only once when she was late, he had smartly checked FB to see whether she had made any updates or posted any photos as she usually does when she goes out with her friends or one of her friends tags her. she had posted right before entering the movie but hadn't made any posts of dinner as she had been busy discussing about the movie with her friends thus missing out on the calls from the family.
It was so strange that the rest of the family was pretty active on FB, he wasn't on facebook, still he was the only to check her FB page to see where she was. She had made an account for him and she was his only friend on FB. When he had refused to have an account as he wanted to keep his life private from all social media glares, so she had made one with the name "Tom." because he was her Tom and she was his Jerry.
"I was going to call you and inform when Priyu called me asking why I haven't reached, so I told her to tell you. everyone was worried because Priyu in her anger towards you and me, didn't tell anyone that I went for a movie and dinner with friends."
Abhishek chuckles hearing that.
"Did you have dinner?" Pragya asks him as she softly yawned.
"I will have after this. You go sleep, bachcha." Abhishek tells her.
"I need a shower first." Pragya says as she kept her head on his chest yawning.
"Then take a shower and sleep." Abhishek tells her as he hugged her tight, rubbing his chin on her head lovingly.
"You put me to sleep." Pragya tells him as she snuggled into his chest yawning.
Abhishek chuckles hearing that. "Okay, you go freshen up. I'll come in ten minutes."
"Okay." Pragya says as she got off his lap. "Did they have dinner? Let them have dinner, Abhi."
Abhishek smiles and tells her "When I come to put you to sleep, I'll give them dinner break."

Pragya comes out of the dressing room after her shower and sees Abhishek keeping her college bag on the table. Pragya smiles seeing that she had forgot it there.
"All sorted?" Pragya asks him as she walked to him and hugged him.
"We're waiting for a call from someone. If he is able to submit the paper, then everything will be fine. I'm also talking to our client to see if we can get an extension." Abhishek tells her as he hugged her. "You don't worry, I'll sort it."
"I am not worried. I know you'll sort it." Pragya tells him confidently as she leaned up and took his lips in hers.
Abhishek pulls her closer to him and kisses her.
"When do you have to go back?" Pragya softly asks him against his lips.
"I thought I was supposed to make you sleep." Abhishek says as he nibbled on her lips.
Pragya giggles hearing that. Abhishek sexily grins at her as he lifted her night shirt and slipped it over her head. Pragya quickly starts unbuttoning his shirt. They hungrily kiss each other and frantically touched one another as they stumbled to the bed.
He knew every sensitive spot on her body, he knew what gave her the most pleasure and what she liked the most. Within minutes, Pragya was gasping and moaning in pleasure.
Seeing that she was as ready for him as he was for her, slipping on a condom, he enters her.
"Abhi..." Pragya gasps in pleasure. "I love you."
"I love you, jaan." Abhishek tells her as he thrust into her.
They frantically moved against each other as they brought the other to fulfillment.
Abhishek rolls over taking her with him, Pragya snuggles into his chest as they tried to catch their breath, still in the bliss of their quickie.
"Abhi..."
"Hmmm?"
"I love you."
Abhishek looks at her and smiles. "I love you too."
"Everyone told me to stay away from you today as you were angry." Pragya tells him. "Dad even said that he was going to kick you out of the house. told me to say goodbye to you."
Abhishek chuckles hearing that.
"You are always screaming at them, that I didn't want to hurt them and tell them that you never scream at me."
"I just don't understand why they think that I scream at you." Abhishek says grinning.
"Because you are always screaming at everyone. even Priyu."
"Just once!" Abhishek reminds her. "I was on an important call and she had snatched my phone from me. and I just sternly told her to give my phone back. I didn't even shout at her."
"She hasn't forgiven you for that." Pragya tells him chuckling.
"I know, that is why she lied today." Abhishek chuckles.
"You should make it up to her. she is my best friend and I don't want my best friend and my husband to be enemies."
Abhishek laughs hearing that.
"She said she is katti with me too." Pragya frowns at Abhishek for laughing.
"Okay, bachcha... I'll apologize to her and get her, her favorite ice cream tomorrow."
"She just had a cold, Abhi!" Pragya reminds him frowning.
"That was last week. I am not that busy that I don't realize that."
"But still, don't get ice cream."
"Okay, I will get chocolates for her."
"Even me!" Pragya says excitedly as she leaned up.
Abhishek rolls his eyes. "Okay. it is not like you don't go shopping or have no money."
"But I like when you get me chocolates."
Abhishek smiles hearing that. "I'll get it. how was your college today?"
"College was good. I forgot that I had to submit one assignment today, so, I bunked a class and wrote it."
Abhishek smiles and listen to her talk about her day.
"Is it time for you to go?" Pragya asks him curiously.
"About time." Abhishek replies as he leaned down and grabbed her nightshirt for her.
"Okay then you go." Pragya says as she wore it.
"I'll go after you sleep." Abhishek says as he lovingly kissed her.
Pragya smiles and snuggles him. "Do you know why Priyu treats you like an enemy?"
"Why?" Abhishek asks her as he hugged.
"Because you pamper me more than you pamper her." Pragya tells him giggling. "Everybody else is always pampering her."
"Because you are my darling bachcha." Abhishek replies chuckling.
Pragya slightly blush hearing that. she closes her eyes and taking his hand, she keeps it on her earlobe.
Abhishek smiles he gently rubbed her earlobe. On their first night, as they lay on bed and spoke to each other, he had absent mindedly gently rubbed her earlobe and ever since, she has made him do it every night he was home before she went to sleep.
Abhishek smiles as he watched Pragya sleep. theirs was an arranged marriage. his parents were looking for a bride for him when his mother had seen Pragya at one wedding. His mother had liked Pragya so much that she after an initial enquiry had sent the proposal. Only after sending the proposal did they find out about Pragya's age.
He had been apprehensive about the 10 years' age gap while for Pragya and her father, age was just a number and they had shown interest in the proposal. Her father hadn't even been thinking of Pragya's marriage then but when he got the proposal, it wasn't the rich family wanting to marry the middle class man's daughter that interested him, it was Abhishek's big family that attracted Pragya's father. Pragya's mother had died when Pragya was just a baby, and after that it was just Pragya and him. their's was a love marriage and their families had disowned them, seeing their big and happy family, Pragya's father had shown interest in the proposal as Pragya never got to experience the love from a family and had asked them to meet.
The age difference even though it was a concern for him at the beginning, very soon, it had turned to a concern for her, to keep her happy. The age difference made him very protective of Pragya, and he started pampering her, he loved pampering her. Pragya had not only become his wife, she became his friend, his confidante, his Jerry, his bachcha. He became a kid and did silly things with her and for her. his world revolves around her now.
When he met Pragya for the first time, he had honestly told her about his workaholic nature and his temper issues, he wanted Pragya to know how he was before she took a decision, especially considering her young age. After hearing everything, all Pragya had asked worriedly was "Will you scream at me also?"
Her innocence and worry had touched his heart, and he had vowed to himself and her that moment that he would never raise his voice at her. He had kept his promise, no matter what, he had never raised his voice at her and never even frowned at her till this moment and he will keep it till his last breath.
