Shoto strode quietly along the street up on Libra. He couldn't be more relieved that you were safe. But would never shake away the idea of you being attacked. It was already bad enough that you were alienated because of their jealousy.

"Good morning Shoto." Said one of three women walking by him.

They were daughters of one of the Duke that lived in the city. One of them had ash-blonde hair tied up in buns. Her slanted golden eyes seemed to glint at the male. She smiled showing off her sharp pointed teeth.

"Morning Duke Toga's daughters." He responded getting ready to leave.

"Wait!" Exclaimed one of the girls. Her eye shape similar to her sister but her eyes were brown and hair a pitch black. "If it wouldn't bother you, would your family like to join ours for dinner?'

"Yeah please? It's been a while since the Todoroki family attended any functions." Said the other sister black hair, golden eyes, same slanted eye shape.

Shoto sighed slightly annoyed. "Sorry but my family isn't in the mood for attendance."

"Because of Y/N?" Asked the blonde haired sister, her gold eyes glared softly at the male. "We all are concerned, but its been so long. It might be too late."

Shoto scoffed at her statement, rolling his eyes. "None of you are concerned." He started as he gripped the reins. "Don't lie, none of you liked her. You were all jealous of her."

"Shoto-" her sister tried to speak before Shoto shot her a glare.

"This discussion is over." He said urging his horse into a sprint. The black haired sister grumbled as he left.

"Himiko what does it take to get attention off that bitch?" Asked the brown eyed sister.

"Not even that," said the black haired sister whose gold eyes glinted evil. "I heard Shoto been getting friendly with Yaoyorozu's daughter."

Himiko grumbled. "We'll figure something out." She said. "Let's go."

"Whoa Libra." Shoto said stopping in front of Aizawa's bookstore.

He dismounted from the mare before pulling over to a small nearby stable. Once closing her in, he took some oats from his pouch. As the mare ate, Shoto saw his teacher in a balcony. The man was reading a book, but the symbols on the cover were . . . weird.

Shoto secured the bag of oats on the gate for Libra to access. "Be a good girl I'll be back." He said leaving the mare outside entering the store.

"Mr. Aizawa." He called out going up a flight of stairs meeting him in a library still by the window.

Aizawa turned to see his former student approach him. "Oh Shoto I didn't notice you were coming."

"Yeah, you wanted to show me something anyway." the male looked at the book in his teacher's hands. "What are you reading?"

"An old spell book that Y/N's mother left behind." He explained.

"Can you cast spells?" Shoto asked.

"Not like Y/N and Faye, teleport and move things. But that's just because I have a minimal amount of witch blood. They're whole witches." Aizawa said, raising his hand as a mug floated to his hand.

"Wait since when were you part witch?" Shoto asked confused.

"Please we're all part witch, that's why you can make fire and ice erupt from you body, and Momo can make objects from her body." He replied walking away from the window as Shoto followed. "As well as spells, this books tells why we're able to accomplish what we do. Witches however, can do much more."

"Then why do so many people hate them?" Shoto asked as they descended down the stairs.

"Remember, there was time when being a woman made you a witch." Aizawa said. "But then people were threatened by the advances of magic. Similar to how majority of the women felt threatened by Y/N. They were born different, and when you're different you're not human."

He reopened the book and spoke softly in the pages. Suddenly they started to glow, the pages whirled as balls of light dispersed around the room. The landscape changed, instead of a beautiful library of books, they were in a vast plain. Fires surrounded them, in the dirt were swords, helmets of fallen soldiers, bodies scattered across the floor. Shoto recognized this sight, he had seen it a thousand times, yet this was different.

"They attacked them." Shoto whispered.

Aizawa side-eyed him, before looking off into the distance. "Humans refused to have something non-human be above them. They could hunt any animal in the world, they were on top of the food chain. When they saw something with more power than them, they have no other option than to eliminate it."

Suddenly horses ran by chasing people in cloaks. "They couldn't just cooperate, why are we like this?" Shoto cried out.

"Authority doesn't like different, neither do they like challenge." Aizawa said. "They attacked the witches, but one was able to end the war." He said as another cloaked figure stepped between the witches and the soldiers on horses. "That, is Y/N's 6th great grandmother, Sage." As he spoke the cloaked woman raised her staff, and a bright light was casted from it. "Sage casted a spell and split 2/3 of her power among the rest of the humans. Everyone got a random power  by chance, just how witches got theirs."

The environment changed they were in a different place now. But it also seemed familiar. "This is the city, 1000 years before now. Humans were prideful with their new powers." A man controlling water in hand walked with a woman by his side walked by a wizard in his cloak.

"Not so special now, are you?" He asked the wizard cockily.

The wizard looked back at him earning a disgusted look from both. "Remember, it was a witch who gave you those powers."

The girl at his side sucked her teeth. "She only did that so we didn't kill you."

The man smirked. "Believe what you will."

Shoto tilted his head at the wizard as he walked away. "Wait, he looks like Y/N's father."

"Because that is her 4th great grandfather on her father's side, Marcel." Aizawa said.

"But why are you showing me all this? We're still not sure who attacked her." Shoto argued.

Aizawa closed the book and the landscape returned to the library. "Because I wanted you to understand more about this world before I send you to the Sisterhood's gathering."

His eyes widened in question. "What do you mean? We know where she is and that she'll be home in a little more than 2 months."

"The adversary that informed you of Y/N's situation was attacked the same night as he was returning to the palace."

"What?!" He exclaimed. "Is he okay?"

"I don't know, but this isn't the first time adversaries have left the palace alone. However this is the first time one has been attacked." Aizawa further explained.

Shoto nodded taking in the information. "You're implying that they did that because of Y/N?"

He tapped the cover of the book softly. "Most likely. If that is the case, the answer is in these pages."

"How so?"

"This book is enchanted, more pages are added every year on each family member's birthday. Every member that is born a new chapter is made."

"Okay, same as that potion, why do you have something like that?"

"Consider me a family friend. Apart from spells I have access to their family secrets because her mother gifted it to me so I could watch over Y/N."

Shoto crossed his arms still pondering his knew found knowledge. Shaking his head he stared at the book trying to find the words. Aizawa watched him think before tilting his head. "What's wrong?"

"I'm just trying to figure what you expect to find in there." He started. "Y/N's birthday isn't for another several months."

"Who knows maybe in her previous year something happened. Or maybe in her mother or father's pages there might be something there. Something is going on with her, and the answer is within these pages. I also need you to keep an eye on the following families." Aizawa handed him a note from his pocket.

He looked through the list before one caught his eye. Toga.

"Duke Toga?" He asked. "What does his family have to do with this?"

Aizawa set the book down on the table heaving. "Because it was the family of Toga that sparked the war between the humans and magic."
