{Hit Rock Bottom}
Once my brother left us, we drove around the island for an hour to draw out the cops and thankfully we lost them half way. It was night fall as we drive to Sarah's house since she was our last chance to save my brother and to stay on the island.
'You sure this is a good idea?' JJ asks as Kie pulls the car to a stop and we all get out and stand outside the wall of the Cameron's residence. 'She's the only one who can clear John b.' I answer turning on my flashlight and walking towards the wall. 'Last place they'll look because of how stupid it is.' JJ states as we climb over the wall into the Cameron's backyard. 'Okay, I've got a plan.' Kie informs us as she walks through the yard, we follow behind her. 'What is it?' I question raising my eyebrows in confusion. 'You and JJ go back to the car and start it in case we need a quick escape. Pope you stay here and I'll go talk to Sarah. Signal me if there's any problems.' Kie explains as we all nod in agreement. She walks away from us heading towards the side of the house as Pope goes to a bush and hides behind it. JJ and I quickly scrambles back over the wall and he hops in the driver seat while I sit in the passenger seat and he starts the car.
We sit in the car in complete silence, all that could be heard was my fingers tapping anxiously off the handle of the door. My legs are shaking and hopping in place as I bit my nails nervously waiting for Kie and Pope to come running to the car. JJ sat beside me looking out of the opposite side of the car taking in deep breaths every so often. He didn't dare make eye contact with me and I couldn't help but feel more anxious at the awkward tension between us. 'JJ?' I sigh breaking the silence as he takes another deep breath. 'Yeah.' He whispers still not looking at me. 'Are you okay, JJ? You know you can talk to me, baby.' I assure him placing my hand on his but he quickly wipes his hand out of my grasp.
'JJ?' I say raising my eyebrows in confusion. 'What the hell is wrong with you?' I ask frustrated. 'What's wrong with me? There's a fucking lot wrong with me, Jackie.' He snaps at me turning around to face me and my eyes widen as I see that he's been crying and that's why he never made eye contact with me. 'You're crying?' I ask with a sigh and he sniffles about to turn away from me but I quickly place my hand on his cheek and turn his face back to meet mine. I rest my head against his as our noses touch off each other. 'What's wrong, JJ?' I ask as I interlock our hands. 'You're leaving.' He whispers before clearing his throat. 'I get it! You don't want John b to leave by himself and the cops will just take you in for questioning, but god—I can't imagine my life without you in it. It's fucking breaking me that I'm going to have to watch you leave me tomorrow.' He sobs before wiping away his tears and sitting back up on his chair. 'I know.' I say what else could I say that it'll be okay. We'll be okay because I have no clue if we will be okay. I don't know anything anymore and I'm scared of the unknown.
I place my hand on his upper left chest and he glances at me raising his eyebrows in confusion. 'No matter where our lives take us or what happens, JJ. I will always be apart of you and you apart of me. I'll always be in your heart, no matter because I love you more than anything in my life. I will continue to love you even beyond death.' I say and he sighs placing his hand on mine and squeezes it slightly. 'I will find my way back to you and we'll be together again. I'm afraid you can't get rid of me this easy.' I chuckle as tears begin to fall from my eyes and he lets out a light chuckle. 'I love you so much.' He tells me as he presses his lips against mine. 'I love you too.' I take a deepbreath before pulling him back into a kiss.
Our kiss quickly starts to heat up as I climb over the arm rest onto his lips placing my legs either side of him as he wraps his arms around my waist. He starts trailing kisses down my neck and I bend my neck slightly backwards giving him more access as a low moan escapes my lips. I run my hands through his hair as he makes his way back up to meet my lips once again. In one quick movement he rips my top off me and we both let out a chuckle before our lips meet again. I start to unbutton his pants as we hear knocking on the window and I jump back on his lap in shock as we both look at Kie and Pope standing outside the car in the rain. 'You kind of, um..locked the door.' Pope stutters and JJ bursts out into a fit laughter as my cheeks flush bright red in embarrassment. I throw my top on quickly and climb over the arm rest back into my seat as JJ unlocks the car and Pope and Kie get in the back. 'Sorry for interrupting your moment.' Pope chuckles and I rub my temples in embarrassment as I slouch down on the seat, JJ and Kie burst out laughing as he places his hand in mine and looks at me with a wide smile giving me a wink. 'We need to get out of here now.' Kie speaks up and we all nod in agreement as JJ drives off.

Since the Chateau is being watched by the police and Pope and Kie didn't want to go home, we all decided to sleep over at the Wreck for the night. It's the only place nobody will look at. When we got to the wreck, Kie and Pope go into their own booth to sleep for the night while JJ and I share one. JJ was sleeping soundly beside me as the rain hits off the roof of the restaurant. I couldn't sleep, not while my brother is still out there on the run from the cops. I clench my fist in anger. How could they all just assume my brother would murder Peterkin. She was like a mother figure to Johnny and I even though we never really appreciated her support and helping us get out of trouble with DCS. I looked up to her so much and knowing she was no longer here with us fucking broke my heart. May you rest in peace now, Peterkin. I promise to keep care of Johnny and I now.
I grab one of JJs blunt and his lighter and go out onto the deck and sit down on the stairs outside as the rain hits off me. I light the blunt thankfully the rain didn't take it out and take a hit from it. I don't know how long I sat out here for but my body began to shiver from the coldness and my fingers were wrinkly from the rain but thankfully it was starting to dry up a bit and I could see the view of the ocean. My nerves began to relax as I take in deep breaths and hits from the blunt. The past 24 hours have been a rollercoaster and I have no clue what others storms are coming our way tomorrow. I just hope John b and I get off this island before the police find us and take him away from me. Even though it'll be the hardest decision and thing I have to do. I have to leave JJ here with Pope and Kie. I can't drag him into this, he's already in enough trouble with the police as it is. I couldn't possibly drag him down deeper. I sit outside for a bit longer before heading in and finally getting some sleep.

The next morning, I stretch my body on the seat as I let out a yawn. My heart begins to escalate and fear overcame me as I hear the approach of police sirens. 'JJ, Kie, Pope. Get up!' I panic jumping up out of the booth. JJ immediately gets up and wraps his arms around me. 'Shh, it's okay, baby. They won't find us.' He assures me trying to calm me down. 'John b? What if—' I speak up but Pope cuts me off. 'They wouldn't be patrolling if they got him, so don't worry.' Pope states and I sigh in relief as I slump back down on the chair and rub my hands through my hair.
'Let's hope.' JJ sighs and Pope glares at him. 'You know, we were in that car and Jackie is his sister. They're probably looking for us, too.' Kie states and I nod in agreement. 'Well, if we're gonna be outlaws, we might as well help John b.' Pope shrugs before getting up and leaving the restaurant. We all look at each other for a moment before following after him outside. 'Pope? Where are you going?' I ask as he hops on JJs dirt bike. 'I'm gonna get gas for the boat.' He answers and Kie sighs. 'Be careful.' She says with a frown and Pope rolls his eyes as he starts the dirt bike. 'Pope? What is your problem?' She asks crossing her arms annoyedly as he revs the engine ignoring her. JJ glances at me raising his eyebrows in confusion and I just shrug. 'What was that?' He asks her and she sighs. 'Look, I didn't mean to.' She says. 'Sorry, I can't hear you.' He continues to say. 'Pope, look...I'm trying to talk to you.' She says frustrated but he ignores her and drives off.
Kie walks back inside the wreck slamming the door and JJ and I stand out on the deck with our eyebrows raised in confusion. 'What was that about?' JJ asks me. 'I have no clue.' I shrug before heading back inside to help Kie with the boxes. I sat on the counter as I hand the food to JJ and Kie to put them in the box. 'You sure he wasn't just being weird Pope?' JJ asks Kie as she places food in the box. 'It wasn't really the kind of thing that needed interpretation.' She replies and I sigh as I twirl JJs knife around my hand. 'Is that enough food for you?' Kie asks me and I sigh before nodding. 'Yeah. I probably won't even eat much.' I answer as her and JJ both let out a sigh. I hop off the counter and grab the box before heading outside to load it into Kie's car. 'Where you been?' A familiar voice speaks up from the side of the car. Kies mom appears infront of her and my eyes widen in shock. 'What are you doing?' Her mom asks looking at her and JJ then to me and her eyes widen in shock and fear. 'Why is she her?' She spits out and I flinch back in shock. 'You do know her brother killed someone.' Her mom raises her voice and I clench my in anger. 'My brother didn't kill anyone. He is innocent!' I raise my voice to her and she scoffs. 'Mom, I'm sorry but I have to go. They need my help.' Kie says as we hop into the car. I hop into the back seat as kie and JJ hop into the front. 'I'm so sorry, mom.' Kie apologies to her mom as she closes the door. 'Kie! No! Please don't do this.' Her mother begs and I couldn't help but feel guilty. I'm part the reason why Kie and her mom are fighting right now.
JJ starts the car and starts to slowly drive away as her mom runs after the car crying out Kies name. Kie begins to cry as we drive away and her mother's sobs begin to fade. 'I'm sorry, kie.' I sigh and she sniffles wiping away her tears. 'It's fine.' She mutters. The rest of the drive was in complete silence, no one dared to speak up. We were too scared to admit that we've hit rock bottom and no matter what we did, our lives will never be the same again.
