Previously on Sonic UA...
Sonic had been enjoying his time at Station Square, trying to recover from losing his childhood friend Sally.
Suddenly, his vacation was interrupted by the arrival of a mysterious being made of water...
Chaos!
The heroes managed to fight it, but it escaped to come back another day.
Hip is temporarily out of commission due to witness a strong wave of memories from the God of Destruction.
To make things even stranger, some of the heroes have already witnessed dreams of someone from the past warning them of a dark future coming.
Robotnik soon appeared near Station Square and revealed that he was the one who freed Chaos, which also resulted in Angel Island going to the ocean below.
To the hero's horror, Robotnik gave Chaos two Chaos Emeralds, turning him into Chaos 2.
Now only 5 Chaos Emeralds remain between Chaos and his Perfect form.
It's a race against the clock as our heroes try to collect all of them...
...before Chaos brings the end of the world!
