My right arm was engulfed in pain. Clutching it, I bit my lip to hold back the screams. It felt as if it was on fire, a feeling I had never wanted to experience again.
[Merging...]
"Time to die!" Grinned Duncan, throwing the giant ball of Chaos Fire towards me.
[Merging...]
It descended towards me, getting closer as I held my arm.
[Merging...]
It's getting closer!
[Merged]
[Demon Arm Beelzebub]'s full potential has been unlocked.
The voice rang through my head, knowledge flowing through my brain. I was shocked, but quickly grinned.
I heard Duncan laugh, thinking he had won as the giant purple flaming ball came closer.
My arm was no longer in pain. Letting go of it, I directed it towards the giant fireball.
"[Gluttony]..." I whispered.
The eye on the back of my hand opened up, and the giant fireball started to shrink as a translucent purple line started to flow from the fireball into my hand.
As I drained the fireball of it's magic, it became smaller and smaller before fading out of existence, leaving me unharmed.
Level Up!
[Demon Arm Beelzebub] Level 6 - A Demonic Arm that overtakes your own upon use. Holds the mysterious powers of the old Lord of Flies.
* [Gluttony] The full potential of the Demon Arm. Absorbs magical energy to make the arm stronger.
"What?! How?!" Cried out Duncan.
I looked up at him. "You messed with the wrong human."
Summoning my chain in my demonic arm, I flung it upwards. It stretched all the way up to Duncan, wrapping around his leg.
Leaving Duncan with no time to react, I immediately yanked him all the way into the ground. Slamming into the ground, he left behind a crater in his wake.
He stumbled out of the crater, blood running down his face. He touched it with his hand, before bringing it into his view.
"You're gonna pay for that." Duncan growled.
"Try it." I challenged.
Duncan sped towards me, using his wings to give him a boost. Slowly tilting my body, I dodged his swipe. He quickly turned, swinging his fist at me again only for me to easily dodge it.
"Stop! Dodging! My! Attacks!" He growled.
He swung again, only to miss.
"Alright." I replied.
I kicked him where the sun doesn't shine, causing him to clench his knees together and sink down. Kicking him across the chest, I sent him flying away.
I dashed after him, quickly appearing next to him. I slammed him into the ground using my demon arm, keeping him pinned.
On top of him, I used my left arm to punch him across the face.
Punch!
Punch!
Punch!
Punch!
His face was bloody and swollen. Glaring at me, he punched me across the face before kicking me off of him.
We both stood up, facing each other.
"Die!" Screamed Duncan, lunging at me.
You're too slow.
I tilted my head, dodging his punch as I reared my fist back and smacked him across the face. He slammed into the ground, groaning.
"How are you this strong?! You're a human!" He screamed.
I crouched down to look him the eyes.
"Sometimes you have to make sacrifices Duncan." I replied, before kicking him across the face.
He rolled over, laying on the ground.
It seems he was done.
Beating him felt really good. Is there something wrong with me?
The crowd erupted in cheers. Looking at them, I smiled.
[Danger Sense]!
And then their looks turned to horror. I quickly spun around only to be met with purple fire. Screams rung through my ears from the loud crowd.
I was flung backwards, landing onto the ground singed. I was distracted by the crowd, and I reacted too late...good thing this outfit is fireproof...
"Hah, hah. I'll admit, you gave me a run for my money. But now I'm really going to kill you." Duncan stated, staggering over.
He stood above me, holding a purple fire coated fist. He swung it downwards on a path to cave in my face.
But it's the final attack where they leave all of their defenses open.
I moved my head out of the way, and grabbing his arm and throwing him onto the ground. Stepping on his chest I summoned an item in my hand.
The [Iron Sword]
Pointing it at his throat, I held the sword with one hand and one of his arms with the other. With my foot on his chest, I kept him pinned to the ground.
"Heh. You won't kill me. You don't have the guts." Sneered Duncan.
My hand is shaking.
"You're right. But this isn't about killing. It's over." I replied.
"You've lost."
The crowd erupted in cheers.
It was checkmate.
"Duncan Diabolos is unable to continue fighting! Jackson Walker wins!" The announcer finalized.
Duncan gave me hateful glare. "Do you know who I am?! I am the only heir to the Diabolos family, one of the wealthiest families in Hell!"
"And all I see is a whiny child making a fit." I spat.
I stomped on his chest one last time, before walking away and putting my [Iron Sword] back into my inventory. It was over, I did it.
But at what cost...?
I looked at my right arm. I imagined it going back to it's normal look.
It didn't.
I gazed at my arm sadly. How was I supposed to go visit my family now? I can't with this thing...
I had to do it though. If I didn't, I would be dead.
Multiple people ran out into the arena, tightly engulfing me in a group hug.
"You did it! Thank you!" Krystal happily yelled.
"Nice job." John said, giving me a thumbs up.
"I knew you could do it." Anna smiled.
"Good job." Brutus softly spoke.
"Good thing I had you do that training, huh?" Asked Sapphire rhetorically.
"As expected of Jack." Nodded Angela.
[Danger Sense]!
I quickly turned around, using [Gluttony] to absorb a blast of purple flames headed towards me and the others.
Duncan stood across from me, heaving angrily.
"This isn't over! Not until you die!" He screamed.
"I've had enough of this..." Growled Krystal.
She waved her hand in front of her, and suddenly two more of me appeared beside me.
Huh?
"Krystal's specialty, her Illusion magic...it looks so real..." Gasped John.
Ah, thanks John.
All three of me surrounded Duncan, causing him to spin his head to look at all three of us. He spun his head so fast it was like it was on a swivel. He looked like he was going insane.
"Three..of you...? Agh, It doesn't matter! Die!" He screamed.
He shot blasts of magic at all three of me. Two of them disappeared while I dodged the magic. I quickly approached him, and by the time he realized which me was real I had slugged him across the face, sending him into the ground once more.
"Stay down." I hissed.
Another person walked down onto the arena, but this time it was none other but the owner herself!
Madam Webb!
She walked past the others, straight to me and Duncan.
"Duncan Diabolos, you tried to attack an unarmed man while his back was turned, after the had just beaten you in a match. You are hear-by expelled." Madam Webb revealed.
Cheers erupted from the crowd.
"You can't do this! I'm the heir of the Diabolos family-!" Screamed Duncan before getting cut off by Madam Webb.
"Zip it." She ordered, pointing her finger at him. Out from her finger shot a web, covering his mouth. He tried to pry at the web, but he couldn't tear it off.
You can shoot webs from your fingers? How does that work?
She grabbed Duncan, dragging him off.
"Congratulations." She said as she walked past me.
Oh, thanks.
Suddenly a weight hit me. Krystal was latched onto me, squeezing me tight.
"Thank you..." she muttered.
"No problem." I replied.
I expected her to break the hug, but she continued it. I could feel her chest beating against mine. It was going so fast, I'm afraid she could have a heart attack.
She must have been really worried.
"What are you doing...?" I asked.
She let go of me, smiling brightly at me. "Oh, I'm just confirming something~"
"Okay...?" I replied.
I watched as she happily skipped off. I'm confused.
Sapphire then walked up to me.
"Thank you..." She said. "For helping Krystal so much."
"Well, she's my friend." I replied. "And I'll help my friends in any way I can."
Sapphire looked at me, before slightly blushing and looking away.
"You know, I thought all humans were rotten until I met you. Now I know some are good." She continued.
Oh. She's suddenly becoming sappy.
"So, thank you for everything. I really love that part of you." She revealed.
Wait, what's did you just sa-
Sapphire leaned up and pecked me on the cheek.
AHHHHHHH!!!!
What?! You're supposed to be the tsundere, not the straightforward type!
I just got a kiss from a girl!
I feel like I'm in a dream!
Is this what Heaven feels like...?
Sapphire's face turned deep red into a tomato. She quickly ran away, and I swear I can see steam coming from her head.
"No fair!" I heard Anna and Angela cry out in the distance.
Alright, let's just check [Affection] real quick...
[Affection]
Lilia Walker - 100 - Family
Annabeth Webb - 110 - Love
Angela Ignis - 100 - Love
Sapphire Caer - 100 - Love
Krystal Fox - 100 - Love
...
I don't know how I'm going to survive...
Author Note: If any of you are wondering why Sapphire fell in love with MC, it is because he is the first human for her to meet that's kind, but also the second ever person for her to meet that is this kind. The first being Madam Webb. Seeing him be this kind for Krystal as well, even though barely knowing her, and saying he would do the same for her, puts the final nail in the coffin.
I figured I should clarify, since her reason isn't as clear cut as Angela's or Krystal's.
