"Sam and Lexi! Just the couple I was looking for." Brittany smiled, as she approached the couple who stood talking by Lexi's locker.

"What happened to our ship name?" Sam frowned.

"We don't have a proper one, because I thought I had one..." Lexi replied. "And then I realized Slexi was a ship name on Grey's Anatomy." She muttered, as Sam chuckled.

"I mean, it works." Sam shrugged.

"Yeah, I'm aware that it does, but I really don't want to steal the ship name." Lexi sighed, before turning to Brittany. "What's up, Britt?"

"Here are tickets for a summer's trip to England." Brittany said, practically shoving the tickets into their hands.

"Oh, uh...wow." Sam stammered, as him and Lexi exchanged confused glances.

"What the heck are you doing, Britt? Where did you manage to find the money?" Lexi asked, a little concerned.

"Hum, well, last week, Lord Tubbington and I were watching a documentary about the Mayan Apocalypse. I learned that it arrives December 21, 2012. I decided to cash in all my savings so I, my family, and my friends could live our lives to our fullest, in the final days that we have. Merry Christmas1" She cheered, before running off to the next group of people.

"Britt! Wait!" Lexi called after the girl, who didn't hear her, and continued her rounds down the hallway. At that, Lexi sighed, shaking her head, as she turned to look up at Sam.

"Is Brittany right?" Sam asked hesitantly, as Lexi chuckled.

"Oh baby, this isn't real. It's one of Brittany's supernatural beliefs. Here's the deal. We're going to be the kind people we are, and play along with ehr theory. It's the best gift we could give her this year." Lexi explained, as Sam nodded. "How does that sound? Is it a deal?"

"Deal." Sam smiled, as Lexi giggled, wrapping her arms through his, as they made their way down the hallway to their next class.
---------
Lexi had managed to catch Brittany after science club that day. Why was Brittany in her science club? She couldn't explain why. That didn't matter at the moment, at least in Lexi's mind.

"So, Britt, tell me more about the Mayan Apocalypse." Lexi smiled, as Brittany nodded, pulling out graphs, charts, and historical facts from the drawers in the corner of the room.

"Of course, I have everything right here." Brittany smiled softly.

"Wait, did you stuff all your research in my science cabinet?" Lexi frowned, as Brittany just shrugged at the girl, before setting everything up.

"So, listen..." Brittany began, as Lexi shook her head, encouraging her friend to continue. "The documentary said 2012 is the year that Kim II-Sung, founder of North Korea, would've turned 100. Divide 100 by ten, the percentage of Americans that believe the world will end on the 21st of December, and you get ten...Mexico's rank in the world as a tourist destination, whose president expects the Mayan Apocalypse to attract 52 million people to his country. It's all right there. All anyone has to do is look at the numbers."

Lexi's eyes widened on all the meticulous detail and research Brittany had done. For someone who usually wasn't the brightest of the group, this was impressive - even if the whole thing wasn't a reality.

"Wow, Britt, I'm impressed." Lexi smiled, playing along. "I was not expecting this concrete and expansive breakdown of the topic."She added.

"And we need to purify ourselves for the last day of b'ak'tun, the 144,000-day cycle of the Mayan Calendar." Brittany continued.

"Okay, how are we going to accomplish that step?" Lexi asked, folding her arms.

"We need to tell everyone we know how we really feel about them." Brittany answered. "Oh, and by the way, you and Sam are going to do me a favor." She winked, before skipping out of the room to find Sam.

"What the hell?" Lexi frowned, as she shook the thought off, and proceeded to clean up all of Brittany's research, knowing very well that none of it was real. Although, she was confused about the favor that Brittany requested from her and Sam. It couldn't be too insane, right?
---------
"Hey, Sam!" Brittany called, as she skipped up to him, while he stood by his locker. "Do you have a minute?"

"Uh..." He stammered, as she interrupted again, bursting with her Christmas excitement.

"You do? Great." She smiled. "I have a favor to ask since the Mayan Apocalypse is fastly upon us." She continued.

"Mhm." Sam hummed in response. He was well aware of the two nights of the apocalypse discussion with Lexi that the whole thing wasn't real. However, they'd made a deal to play along with Brittany, and do what they were asked, so what could be so wrong with that? Besides, him and Lexi both knew that Brittany's intellect was vastly limited, and that her usual mood increased with every passing Christmas. He noted that this year, it was different. Sam decided not to fixate on that, and snapped out of his thoughts, before turning back to Brittany.

"What favor do you need?"

"Since the world is ending, I'm telling people how I really feel about them." She explained, as he nodded. "But, for you and Lexi, I wanted you guys to end on a truly happy note. I want to see my wishes come true, so my number one wish is for you to propose to Lexi, and tie the knot."

Sam's eyes widened, and if Lexi was there, she would've commented that they had the same reaction. He took a minute to process all the information Brittany had thrown at him.

"Wow, okay." He finally answered, as she awaited his answer.

"So, what do you say, Sam?"

"I'll propose to Lexi, and we will get married. Your wish is granted." Sam smiled.

"I'm so happy." Brittany chuckled, clapping excitedly.
---------

"You guys, welcome to the first meeting of the 2012 Mayan Apocalypse Club." Brittany announced, as she looked at all her friends from glee who sat on the couches in the library. They had decided to come, because she had requested them to, and Lexi had kindly asked that they play along.

"Wait, that's what this is?" Tina asked with a frown.

"It looks a lot like Glee Club." Sam muttered, as Lexi chuckled quietly.

"Don't worry, it's also the last meeting." Brittany explained. "Because we're all so close, I wanted to bring you here so I could finally tell you my true feelings about you. Tina, acting is a pipe dream for you, and your decision to pursue it as a career is both irresponsible and shocking. Joe, you haven't really made an impression on me, and I don't really know what your deal is."

"Wait a second." Ryder interrupted. He shook his head, feeling offended for his friends that Brittany was insulting. "This is the worst club ever."

"We're not gonna just sit here, and let you insult us." Marley was quick to agree.

"I wasn't gonna insult you." Brittany protested, as a pouty expression crossed her face. She watched as everyone, but Sam and Lexi began to file out of the library.  "All I wanted to tell you was that I think you're delightful. Guys, you can't leave yet! You're gonna miss the best part!"

"Okay, Merry Christmas, Brittany." Jake said, unamused, before he left the library.

"Guys, we're not even gonna make it to Christmas!" Brittany called after them again, before she flopped down on the couch beside Lexi. "I can't believe how naive they are."

"I know, honey." Lexi said with a sigh, as she allowed Brittany to rest her head against her shoulder. "Some people just can't face the cold hard fact that this earth is really just the back of a giant crocodile that destroyed and recreated every 500 years."

"Yeah, she's right." Sam smiled. "But you know what? At least we have each other."

"Absolutely." Lexi nodded, when she noticed Brittany sending Sam a firm look. She frowned when she saw Sam move to stand in front of her, as Brittany squealed out of pure happiness, before she stood up as well.

"And since the world is gonna end before Christmas, in the meantime, this will have to do." Sam said with a shrug, smiling at Lexi, before he nodded at Brittany. She signaled the Cheerios who came into the library wearing reindeer antlers, and placing a headband on Brittany's head.

Sam
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring
Snowing and blowing up bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time
Dancing and prancing in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air
What a bright time, it's the right time
To rock the night away
Jingle bell time is a swell time
To go gliding in a one-horse sleigh
Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and a-mingle in the jingling feet
That's the jingle bell rock
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time
Snowing and blowing up bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun
Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and a-mingle in the jingling feet
That's the jingle bell
That's the jingle bell
That's the jingle bell (rock)

Lexi laughed, clapping and cheering when Sam finished his number. "I loved it, I love you." She smiled up at him, as he sent her a smile back. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Brittany ushering the Cheerios out, before the blonde hid behind a shelf to watch what was about to unfold.

Lexi just shook off the amount of curiosity she had in the moment. It wasn't until she saw Sam pulling out a jewelry box from his pocket that she began to panic slightly.

"S-Sam..." She stammered, as he nodded towards Brittany, and she got the whole point of the fake proposal. Brittany wanted them to get married, and for some odd reason, Lexi felt her heart soar, and so did Sam. The prospect of them actually tying the knot in a few years excited both of them - they couldn't deny it - no matter how hard they tried.

"And here's another rock." Sam finally spoke again, as he got down on one knee, and held up the box, containing the ring. At this, she gasped, even if some of it was acting. "Lexi Caterina Torres, before the world ends, will you marry me?"

Lexi couldn't contain her squeals, or her growing smile. "Yes, Sam Evans." She nodded, as he smiled up at her. " I will marry you." She answered.

Sam laughed, pulling her into a hug, before he leaned down, and pressed a loving kiss to her lips. Once they pulled away, she pulled him back into a hug.

He couldn't help but think about the real proposal, whenever that happened. He had Sara's permission, but the actual question was, when? Both him and Lexi had planned to graduate and move to New York, but he decided not to fixate too much on it. Although he made a note to try to plan out when the right time would be. Even though there is never a right time for anything. At least that was what Lexi always stated.
---------

"Are you sure you're qualified to marry Sam and Lexi?" Brittany asked, for what seemed like the hundredth time that day. She stood in a gorgeous ivory dress, beside Coach Beiste and Sam in the middle of the boys locker room. It wasn't the ideal location for a fake wedding, but hey, whatever was convenient.

"You betcha, kiddo." Coach Beiste nodded reassuringly. " I went on a Mayan Church website, and I got ordained.... If you kids are really serious about this."

Brittany smiled, and glanced at Sam, who quickly nodded his head.

"Yeah." He smiled. "I want Lex, and I to meet Q'uq'umatz, the feathered snake god together."

"Look, I'm all for this Q'uq'maz thing, but if I may be blunt, it freaking reeks in here." Lexi spoke up from behind the locker.

"You mean Q'uq'umatz." Brittany corrected, as she met Lexi halfway, and walked her towards Sam.

At the sight of Lexi, Sam felt his breath get caught in his throat. Even if it was not their actual wedding, the emotions were in tack for sure. He took a minute to admire Lexi, as she walked up to him, with a small smile. She wore a simplistic white lace dress that suited her small figure, while some of her hair was braided and pinned back. She wore a flower crown that matched Sam's boutonniere on his tux. He thought she looked even more beautiful as the minutes passed, although he'd admit, he always thought she was gorgeous.

"Put your hands here." Coach Beiste instructed, as she held up an old library book, that Lexi had retrieved from the library earlier that day.

"Your vows?" Brittany asked the couple, as they nodded, granting her wish.

"Lexi, I always thought you were super hot." Sam smiled. "And really kind, intelligent, genuine, and caring." He added, as she began to tear up at the way he looked at her with such sincerity. "But what I didn't know was that you were going to end up being my soulmate. Who knows what the future holds for us? Probably tsunamis, and horrible sea monsters. But now, I'm not worried about that, because I have you." He finished, as she blushed at the smirk he sent her.

"Sam." Lexi began, as she sent him her usual loving smile. She internally cursed herself for getting emotional over a fake wedding. "When I first met you in Glee Club, over two years ago, I knew you were one of those rare, but special human beings. I couldn't be more grateful for how far we've come in our relationship. You're kind, loyal, empathetic, smart in a creative way, supportive, understanding, and I will admit, you're hot. I can't tell you how excited I am to become your Mayan star-wife."

Coach Beiste smiled at the two, while Brittany squealed out of her burst of excitement. They allowed the couple time to smile at each other, before Coach Beiste spoke again. "You may kiss your bride." She said, holding up a branch of mistletoe.

Sam smiled down at Lexi, and pulled her into his arms. She smiled, as he leaned down capturing her lips in his. After a few moments, they finally pulled apart, letting their foreheads rest against each other.

"Yes!" Brittany clapped her hands.

"It's December 18th. Three days till the end. So make this time and your final moments count."
---------

December 22 had arrived, successfully without any apocalypse, and Brittany would admit, she was feeling torn. Although she was happy the world was still in existence, and no harm or damage had been done. She had realized the Mayan Apocalypse was all but a crazy prediction, and she felt a little stupid, so Lexi had invited her to join her and Sam at Breadstix.

"So you're not actually married?" Brittany asked, as she looked at Sam and Lexi who sat across from her in a booth.

"Coach Beiste broke the news to us earlier today." Lexi shrugged. "There aren't any Mayan church websites, Britt. The Mayans were wiped out 500 years ago by the conquistadors and smallpox."

"Like chickenpox, but smaller." Sam added, as Lexi smiled softly. It was like explaining to a child that the tooth fairy wasn't real, but it was really your parent slipping money under your pillows, whenever you lost a tooth.

"That's horrible...I wanted to feel good, and feel special by helping you two get married, and prepared to face the Q'uq'umatz together." Brittany sighed. "It was all a lie, and that means Christmas, and Santa, and reindeers are lies too." She whined slightly.

"Oh, Britt, no. Listen to me, please." Lexi said, as Brittany looked at her. "If we are to be completely honest, Sam and I both loved getting married. We loved knowing that we made your wish come true. Seeing you happy, makes us happy." She added. "Wow, endorphins work in wild ways." She muttered aloud, before shaking her head, and returning to the current discussion. "Just because your plan didn't work the way you hoped it would, that doesn't define who you are. It doesn't mean you aren't a special parent."

"Your mom's right." Sam nodded, bringing up the parent joke again, as Lexi bit her lip from laughing.

"And when Sam and I do eventually tie the knot in a few years, you're going to have a special part in our memorable day, okay?" She asked, as Brittany nodded.

"Okay."

"That's our girl." Lexi smiled.

"I'm glad I have you two. You're going to need to make an appearance on Fondue for Two soon." Brittany added, as Lexi and Sam chuckled. "But here are to more days of brutal honesty, and apocalypse predictions. I'm off to go ensure Lord Tubbington goes to bed." She announced, before leaving the restaurant.

"She's quite the interesting daughter, but we love her." Lexi smiled softly, as Sam wrapped his arms around her, letting out a laugh.

"She really is, Lex. We just bought her another year of purely blissful innocence." Sam sighed.

"That's our Britt." Lexi nodded, as she swore she could see Brittany having a one-sided conversation with the shrubs outside. "I swear she's talking to the shrubs as we speak." Lexi pointed out, as Sam turned, and both of them chuckled.

"I love you, so much." Sam smiled, as he leaned down capturing her lips in his. She smiled into the kiss, both of them savoring the moment.

"I love you too, so much ." She whispered, before pulling away, and leaning her forehead against his, allowing their noses to touch, while they stared into each other's eyes lovingly.

"Merry Christmas, Sam."

"Merry Christmas, Lex."
