Can I get a 2012 Leo x male reader, where the reader is giving Leo a whole sexuality crisis so Leo asks April if it's weird for a guy to like another guy and April reassures him that it's perfectly normal, and later that week Leo accidentally slips that he likes (y/n) and in a flash the have this little moment of understanding that they both like each other and want to be more than friends.

I shouldn't be thinking about (Y/N) in that way, he's just a friend, he will never be anything more than a friend. I just need to distract myself from him, maybe go into the kitchen and cook? Who am I kidding, I can't even use the toaster. Okay, so I'll meditate, but then I'll be alone with my thoughts which are all currently centred around a certain friend of mine. I could spar against Raph? Or watch Space Heroes? Or-
"Leo?" you called, waving your hand in front of his face. He seemed far gone like his mind wasn't even on this planet anymore. Leo jumped back in his seat, eyes blinking fast as he took in his surroundings; it's just the common room he breathed. You gave him a once over, bring a slight tint of pink to his otherwise green cheeks, "Are you okay, dude?" you questioned with a cock of your brow. Leo felt flustered yet you'd hardly done anything, just asking about his health like any normal concerned friend would.
"Y-yeah," he stuttered out, turning his gaze back to the t.v in a hurry. You continued to stare at him, trying to work out why he was suddenly acting so strange. You poked him in the shoulder with a worried smile, "You sure you're okay?" even though your tone was light Leo could still sense the weight of worry in your voice. He smiled at you, feeling his breathing calm down just a small fraction, pulling your hand away from his shoulder and keeping it in his palm, "I promise I'm okay." He soon felt the warmth radiate from your hand, his cheeks illuminated a brighter shade of pink as he dropped your hand from his.
"I-I think I'm, er, going to get some air." he fumbled out, quickly standing from the couch and walking towards the lairs exit. You leaned over the back of the couch watching as he awkwardly walked up the steps, "You do realise it's still light out, right? It's only just gone six?" Leo chuckled nervously, too occupied with looking at your face to realise he's going to bump into the ticket barrier. Without fail, a distracted Leo flipped over the harsh metal pole and landed on his face with an 'oof'.
"Leo!"
You leapt over the back of the couch and ran up to him, Donnie and Raph leaving the dojo at the sound of the commotion. The two brothers stared at Leo with a straight face, but that soon changed, the tiniest grins peaked out on their face shortly becoming full-blown grins. Donnie held his stomach as he cackled, pointing a finger at his fallen brother, Raph was on the floor laughing, kicking his legs as he howled. You helped Leo up sending a glare to his brothers, "Guys, what's wrong with you?" you huffed. They stopped laughing for a brief moment, taking in the concern and anger on your face. Their eyes slowly travelled to their brother who wasn't amused in the slightest, holding a salty frown; that's when they broke again.
"Some brothers," you muttered, you felt Leo's body move away from you. Looking back you saw him dip into the tunnels, you would have gone after him but he probably needed time. Meanwhile, you could teach his brothers some manners, rolling up the cuffs of your sleeves you announced yourself then launched at an already down Raph. "Time to teach you guys a lesson!" you yelled, tugging on Donnie's strap to bring him into the fight.
Leo had wandered along the sewer tunnels, knowing it was too bright out to mope around the city. But he couldn't return to the lair so soon, having only been absent for around thirty minutes. Deciding that he still needed to talk to someone about his anxieties that were eating him up, he went to the only person he could think of that was just as trustworthy as Splinter; maybe even being able to give more advice on the subject than his rat father.
I shouldn't think of (Y/N) like that, he thought to himself, what would he even say? Not only am I a mutant turtle but...he would never feel that way about me.
He knew the sewers like the back of his hand, having lived there for 15 years before being allowed topside. So when he stopped and looked up at the single sewer grate he knew he had made it to his location. As carefully as he could, Leo peaked out through the sewer grate and did a 360 of his surroundings. When the coast was clear, he quickly leapt up from the rusted ladder and sprinted to an alleyway beside the building. With another check, he hopped onto the fire escape and soon made it to April's bedroom window.
Would she even be in? Would she even be able to help me?
With a gentle rasp of his knuckles against the pained glass, Leo stood there patiently waiting until an April-like shadow approached the window. Bright ginger hair greeted Leo as April opened the window wider, her eyes roaming his nervous form, "Hey, Leo?" she beamed, albeit in question. Leo raised a hand to wave at her, asking quickly if it was okay to come in and talk; which it totally was.
The two sat in April's room, said girl had just gone to close the door so her newly unmutated father wouldn't hear the conversation. April sat and waited for Leo to start, but seeing how he couldn't meet her gaze and was constantly fidgetting, she decided to take the first step.
"Sooo, what's up? Do you need anything, Leo?"
He shook his head 'no' at first, then backpedalled, "Well, actually, there is just this one thing I need help with." April motioned for him to go on, wanting to help her clearly stressed friend out. Was it something that had happened at the lair? Something to do with his brothers? Splinter?
"I-I've been having these feelings for someone and I'm not sure I should be having them." he muttered out, continuing to longingly stare at his fingers. April's eyes widened, it can't be Karai again, right? Before she could even ask Leo stopped her, "It's not Karai, that ship has long since sailed."
"Oh," April huffed, stumped for who it was, "Do I know them?" she asked. Leo let out a little chuckle, looking more like his regular self, "Very well actually,"
"Hmmm," April hummed, rubbing a finger under her chin in thought, "Isss it...Irma?"
"Who?"
"Okay, what about...Casey?'
"Casey, c'mon I have standards April." Leo deadpanned, slightly offended. April let out a small chuckle, shushing Leo as she continued to think, "Well the only person I can think of is..." she stopped, a devilish smile framing her face. Leo noticed the change and became clammy, shuffling away from her as she continued to gleam, "What? What is it?" Leo rushed out, scared.
"It's (Y/N), isn't it? You like him."
Leo frowned, pushing his head into his hands as he sighed, "I know I shouldn't, but I just can't help it. He's so calm and cool when it comes down to the wire, he always helps me relax and centres me when things get too much. And he likes Space Hereos just as much as me! Do you know how hard it is to find someone that likes that show!" Leo let out in excitement, standing away from the bed as he paced back and forth; slowly creating a grove in April's carpet.
April had a warm smile on her face, feeling her insides go fuzzy at the thought of Leo liking you. It brought another small smile to her face when she remembered she had a similar conversation with you not so long back. "Why do you think it's wrong? You can't help who you like, Leo."
The terrapin stopped pacing and looked at her, April was patiently awaiting answers, "It's just that- Well you see- It's not," he stuttered out, he couldn't think of just one reason. April stopped him with a hand on his shoulder, looking into her kind eyes, he quit talking. "Leo, just because it isn't seen as 'traditional' by some people doesn't mean it's wrong. If you really like (Y/N) as much as you let on, then it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks."
"What if he doesn't feel the same?"
"Then it's his loss, cause you Mr Leonardo Hamato, are a great catch. Besides, I happen to know that a certain friend might return those feelings."
"Really?" Leo beamed like a puppy, April laughed and started shoving him to the window, "My lips are sealed, just go down there and find out for yourself." With that said, the leader in blue dashed from the window, practically ripped the sewer grate from the road and dove down into the sewers. April watched on from her window with a grin, "Good luck," she whispered to no one.
Leo raced back to the lair, kicking up sewer water as he went. When he saw the bright lights and heard the laughter of his brothers he stopped and paced himself. The moment he picked out your laughter from the mix the nerves started kicking in one again. "No time like the present," he mused, jumping over the ticket barriers.
"Hey, Leo's back!" Mikey shouted from the floor, a game controller in one hand and a slice of pizza in the other, "Dude, you're just in time to try this new pizza topping I made. Three cups of sugar, one cup of cinnamon, two stacks of pepperoni and a hint of basil. I call it; The once in a spicetime pizza."
"Gross, Mikey," you puked out, already put off by the smell alone. Leo gave Mikey a pass and instead asked if you would follow him to the dojo, a place where he felt in control.
That control was quickly slipping away as soon as you were stood in front of him, with no distractions or possible intrusions since the doors were shut. Leo opened his mouth around three times, each time leading to nothing, just shutting it with an awkward silence. "See, I knew you weren't okay earlier," you pointed out, arms folding over your chest. Leo's eyes widened, hands moving out between you in frantic waves, "No! I mean- no, I'm fine I swear." he panicked. You didn't believe him, jutting out a hip in disbelief, "Then why are you acting strange, man?"
"I...I have something to tell you," he prompted, his gaze firmly held your face, his shaking hands reaching out for yours. Looking down at your interwind hands, a faint blush rushing to your cheeks, you gaped back into his blue, blue eyes. "(Y/N), I know it's not very traditional but... I just can't stop thinking about you...as more of a friend. I tried, I really did, but I just couldn't keep you out of my head. You were there when I tried meditating, when I was sparring, even when I would be watching Space Heroes!"
"And you love that show,"
"I know! I-I just, I didn't want to tell you how I felt because I was scared. I'm a mutant turtle that lives in the sewers and has a rat sensei, I thought meeting someone who I could care for differently than my brothers would be impossible, but then you walked along and, in a sense, threw my world upside."
"Leo-"
"Look, whatever happens after this...I- I just don't want to lose you, even if we're not as close as we are now, I just can't have you leave my life; especially if I caused it. I like you (Y/N) (L/N) and no matter what I will always fight for our love." he ended, taking his time to gauge your reaction. You were too quiet, was that bad? It's probably bad, right? Why haven't you said anything yet?
"Hey, you don't have to say anything ye- Hmph" Leo felt like his shell was cracking with the amount of pressure you were putting into the hug, you nudged your head against Leo's cheek, feeling the hotness of his skin while he was flustered. Leo didn't know what to do, his arms awkwardly fell around you, still slightly stiff in movement. "I'll fight for you too, dummy," he heard you murmur into his ear, at the notion of replicating his feelings, Leo's arms finally squeezed you back. He allowed himself to breathe you in, let himself feel the warmth that you radiated even through your clothes.
You stayed there for a while, not talking just hugging. Who would have seen that coming?
