Chapter 9- Someone pushed me!

"Maya!" Casey shouts as he runs into the kitchen followed by Kelly
Casey can see Maya lying on the floor surrounded by smashed plates. She has a cut to her head but nothing too serious
"You okay?" Casey says rushing to her side
"I think so?" Maya says touching her head to reveal the blood on her hand
"Brett! Foster! Get in here!" Casey shouts
But only foster comes running in
"Let me take a look" Foster says checking maya over
"You don't have a concussion! And you don't need stitches! I'll bandage you up but you need to take it easy today" Foster says grabbing the bandages out of the bag
She fixes Maya up and Casey helps her stand up
"Let's get you to your quarters" Casey says taking her hand
"I'm good Matt! Really!" Maya says
"You heard what foster said!" Casey says leading her to the bunk room
"What happened?" Casey asks as he sits Maya down on her bed
"I was standing on a chair getting a plate and I felt a hand on my back and the next thing I know I'm on the floor" Maya says
"A hand?" Casey says confused
"Yeah! I'm not lying! It wasn't a mans hand though" Maya says
"What's the difference between a mans hand and a woman's hand?" Casey asks
"Oh please! A mans hand is rough! A woman's hand is delicate!" Maya says laughing
"Well that only narrows it down to Brett, Foster and the office staff?" Casey implies
"Maybe it was nothing? Maybe I'm just going crazy with all of this to do with my mum!" Maya says knowing who done it
"Your not going crazy! I'll leave you to rest!" Casey says walking out
It's a while later and Truck and Engine are out on a call. Maya decides it's time to go and call out who done it
"Okay! I understand you have a thing for Casey but pushing me off a chair? That's immature!" Maya shouts
"I don't know what your talking about?" Brett says trying to act innocent
"I'm not dating Casey! Go ahead ask him out! But I'm a captain! And I can get you written up for this!" Maya threatens
"Oh please? Do you think Loverman would believe you over me? You threatened me so that's why I pushed you!" Brett says annoyingly
"Oh I think he would! Remember who was married to him?" Maya says
"Remember who couldn't Cary a baby for him? Who lost the baby then had the audacity to cry about it? I'm glad for that baby! It never had to put up with you as a mum!" Brett shouts
"Watch your mouth! Now get out of my sight before I make you!" Maya shouts as Brett walks away
