Chapter 261

Everyone around him burst out laughing.

Everyone had expressions of mockery on their faces.

Who was Divine Doctor Hu?

He was one of the most prominent figures in the Chinese medicine world.

A teenager was showing off his prescription in front of Doctor Hu. Did he not know who Doctor Who was?

Hu Huaichun did not laugh. Instead, his expression was grim.

He could see that the prescription was genuine, and not merely some herbs thrown together.

He could not yet tell how effective Tang Hao’s prescription was.

He stepped forward and took the basket.

He was surprised when he inspected the contents. He noticed about ten stalks of dried medicinal grasses at a corner of the basket.

If he was not mistaken, that was a common medicinal grass known as baby’s breath. Its main function was to cool down the body and was unrelated to restoring a patient’s vital energy.

His brows were tightly locked. He could not think of the reason why Tang Hao had included that particular grass in his list.

The other herbs were just about what he expected. They were common herbs associated with restoring vital energy, such as dang gui and ginseng.

However, the proportions of the herbs were peculiar. They were totally out of balance.

The proportions of each herb played an important role in a prescription. With the wrong proportions, the medicine would lose half its effectiveness.

Hu Huaichun smirked. “I thought you were going to show me something amazing, but this is a half-bungled assortment of herbs! Do you think that your prescription is better than any of my Hu family ancestral prescriptions?

“My Hu family prescriptions have been studied and improved upon over centuries. They have stood the test of time. They’re a hundred, no, a thousand times better than what you’re showing me!”

Everyone exclaimed loudly when they heard that.

They were not surprised by Hu Huaichun’s verdict. Their gaze upon Tang Hao became more condescending than ever.

“Ignorant!” Tang Hao said coldly.

“You…” Hu Huaichun’s face was red with anger.

‘This kid is too arrogant! Is he still defending his bungled prescription?’

Everyone around him was hotly discussing him.

They thought that the kid had lost in mind!

“Did you just say that I’m ignorant?” Hu Huaichun’s body was trembling with anger.

“If you can’t see the details in this prescription, then I don’t have another adjective for you! How is this prescription bungled?”

“Hah! You got your proportions all wrong!” Hu Huaichun said.

“The proportions are wrong? You must be blind! Didn’t you see that I’ve added baby’s breath in the basket? Don’t tell me that you don’t know about medicinal amelioration!” Tang Hao rolled his eyes as he spoke.

Hu Huaichun’s expression stiffened.

He had heard of the term before, and he knew that it was an extraordinarily advanced technique in Chinese medicine. One would not know how to apply it unless they were a master of Chinese medicine.

He was not at that level of mastery yet. He would not have achieved it even if he had studied medicine nonstop since he was born.

If what Tang Hao said was true, then it was not a bungled prescription.

“Even so, I don’t believe that your prescription is better than the Hu family ancestral recipes,” Hu Huaichun said coldly.

“You don’t believe me? How about a competition then?”

Tang Hao was eager to win.

“How should we compete?” Hu Huaichun was surprised.

“We’ll concoct the medicine on the spot. You’ll concoct your medicine based on your ancestral recipes, and I’ll concoct mine. We’ll see which one has a better effect.”

Tang Hao’s eyes scanned the crowd, then pointed at two people.

“Hey, you two, are you willing to try the medicine?”

The two people hesitated.

“Five hundred yuan each!” Tang Hao said.

The two people were immediately excited. They eagerly walked out of the crowd. “Of course I’m willing!” They said.

Drink a bowl of medicine and earn five hundred yuan? They would be stupid if they did not accept it!

Hu Huaichun looked at the two people and was instantly shocked.

He could see that the two people were anemic. They were the best candidates to test the potency of their medicines.

He had to examine them closely before he realized that. However, that kid had spotted those two people by one sweeping glance. That kid had incredible powers of observation.

“So are we doing this, Divine Doctor Hu?” Tang Hao’s tone of voice was provocative.

“Challenge accepted!”

He could not back away from the challenge in front of the public. Furthermore, he was absolutely confident of his ancestral recipe.

“Alright, let’s begin!”

Someone brought them separate charcoal stoves and medicinal bowls. They started concocting their medicine.

Tang Hao did not bother activating the latent potency of the herbs with his qi. He was absolutely confident of winning against the Hu family ancestral recipe.

They spent about an hour concocting their potions.

Finally, they poured out their medicines into separate bowls and handed them to the two people.

When the medicine cooled down a little, the two people lifted the bowls and downed the medicine in one gulp.

Everyone’s gaze was focused on the two people.

Then, they waited for the medicine to take effect.

About ten minutes later, the face of the person on the left was suffused with color.

“I feel very warm!”

He stood up and walked around. He felt warm energy spreading across his body and felt strength returning to his limbs.

Earlier, his limbs felt sluggish because of his anemia.

“I feel powerful!” He said incredulously as he clenched and loosened his fists.

Everyone was shocked when they saw that.

If they remembered correctly, the medicine that he took was the one concocted by the kid.

They looked at the other person. There were no apparent changes to him.

How was that possible?

Did that mean that Divine Doctor Hu’s medicine was far weaker than the kid’s medicine?

Everyone was dumbstruck. Especially Hu Huaichun, who went cross-eyed.

‘The medicine takes effect only after ten minutes?

‘What kind of f*cking joke is that?’

He looked at the person who was walking around excitedly. Then, he looked at the other person who had taken his medicine. He was still sitting quietly. His face slowly turned ashen.

That was a slap to his face!

Some more time later, some color returned to the other person’s face. However, the change was not as drastic.

The crowd fell silent when they looked at the two people.

Even an idiot could tell which one had the better medicine.

Hu Huaichun’s face turned from ashen to bright red.

He was utterly ashamed of himself. He wanted to find a hole to jump in.

Also, he was utterly shocked.

He was considered one of the best Chinese physicians. Not many people could compare to his skills. Where did the kid come from though?

That prescription had utterly blown him away!

It was at least twice more potent than the Hu family ancestral recipe. One could even call it a miracle prescription!

“Anything else that you’d like to say, Divine Doctor Hu?”

Tang Hao turned around to look at Hu Huaichun.

Hu Huaichun opened his mouth, but the words did not come out. He felt incredibly frustrated.

“I submit!” He spat out those two words after a long while.

He had been proud of his family ancestral recipes, but he had discovered that there was a better prescription. The shock to him was immense.

Chapter 262

“What’s your name, my friend?”

Hu Huaichun came to Tang Hao and asked courteously.

In his eyes, the young man must have had a great physician as his master. That was why he had incredible skills of observation and a miraculous prescription.

“My name is Tang Hao!” Tang Hao said calmly.

“Your surname is Tang, you say!” Hu Huaichun furrowed his brows. He did not know any physician families whose surname was Tang.

“Divine Doctor Tang, about the bloodhemp grass…” Tang Hao said.

“Oh! I don’t need it anymore! You can take it!” Hu Huaichun said urgently. His face flushed red again.

He was humiliated in public because of that herb.

Tang Hao paid for the herbs, then left the market.

He rode on a minivan and headed west of Provincial City.

The minivan left the city limits. Another half an hour later, a mountain range came into view. Dirtclod Village was located somewhere in those mountains.

The minivan drove into the village. Tang Hao asked a villager for directions, then headed into the mountains.

Once he entered the mountains, he started running at superhuman speed.

The herb seller only gave him an estimated location. He said that all he had to do was go along the mountain path and cross several mountains. The area was unbelievably vast. Tang Hao was not sure if he was even on the right track.

A normal person would have given up. However, Tang Hao moved at an incredible speed. He could comb over the entire mountain with ease.

He finally found traces of the blue nandina more than two hours later.

He was already deep in the mountains. It was not only a few mountains away, but rather, tens of mountains away.

Tang Hao was silently cursing at the herb seller.

He calmed down and could sense that the qi flow was a lot stronger there.

It was good news for him. With a strong qi flow, there was a higher chance that the Flower of Youth was still surviving.

He walked forward while scanning his surroundings.

Suddenly, his gaze was fixed on a spot not too far in front. There was a plant about half his height. A few flowers bloomed amid the dense branches and leaves.

The flowers were in full bloom, and the petals were as red as blood.

That was the Flower of Youth.

According to the Scripture of the Divine Herbalist, the tree that bore the Flower of Youth could grow up to one zhang, an ancient Chinese unit of measurement a little more than three meters. When it was in season, hundreds of flowers would bloom at once, creating a dazzling sight.

The plant in front of Tang Hao was considered pathetic. It was half his height, and there were only five flowers.

“That’s not quite enough!” Tang Hao mumbled.

Pill-making carried the risk of failure. Even at his current proficiency, there was still a high chance of the furnace exploding. Five flowers meant that he had five attempts. There was no guarantee that he could succeed.

The Pill of Everlasting Beauty was a wondrous item. Any beauty cream or the Jade Bone Pill was trash compared to it.

Every woman wished that they could remain beautiful forever!

Making only one pill was definitely not enough.

Tang Hao started weighing his options.

He wanted to extract the plant and replant it in Dragonrock Village. However, it was incredibly troublesome for him to do so.

Furthermore, the plant looked sickly. The plant might die after he removed it from the soil, which would have been extremely unfortunate.

He thought for a long time and decided that the plant should remain where it was.

He did not feel very secure leaving the plant there, and so he took out jade talismans and set a maze formation around it.

After that, there was no worry that any human or beast would bring harm to the plant.

Then, he took out more jade talismans and laid down a leyline gathering formation.

Tang Hao clapped his hands satisfactorily after all that was done.

With the leyline gathering formation, he could channel more qi to the plant, which would make it thrive.

Then, he carefully plucked the five flowers and kept them in his pocket dimension.

The sky was almost dark when he came out of the mountains.

Tang Hao returned home and began the process of pill-making.

The most important, and also the rarest ingredient of the Pill of Everlasting Beauty was the Flower of Youth. There were several other rare herbs, but Tang Hao managed to find multiple portions of those.

He portioned the ingredients carefully. The ingredients were enough for four attempts.

Tang Hao’s expression was grim.

He needed to have at least one success in those four attempts. Otherwise, he did not know when he would have the complete set of ingredients again. Gathering the other ingredients was already difficult enough, and he did not know when the Flower of Youth would bloom again.

He retrieved his alchemical furnace and made preparations.

Then, he started the pill-making process.

He carefully controlled the intensity of the flames in the furnace, then added the ingredients one by one. The extreme heat transformed the ingredients into blobs of medicinal liquid.

After that was the distillation step. It was the most difficult step in the entire pill-making process. Nine out of ten times, the furnace would explode in that step.

Tang Hao had taken all precautions, but his first attempt ultimately failed.

Boom!

The furnace trembled and he heard a dull thud from within. The furnace had exploded.

“F*ck!” Tang Hao cursed. He felt incredibly sorry for the wasted ingredients, and his expression was grimmer than ever.

One failure. Three more attempts to go.

He did not immediately start on his next attempt. Instead, he rested for a while, and at the same time reviewing the steps he had taken earlier.

He started his second attempt when he felt prepared.

Once again, the furnace exploded in the distillation step. Tang Hao was becoming frustrated.

He rested again before he started the third attempt.

To Tang Hao’s surprise, the third attempt went very smoothly. The distillation process was completed without a hitch. Then, it was the refining step. An hour later, the furnace trembled and a beam of light shot out.

Tang Hao spread open his palm. The beam coalesced into a round alchemical pill that was as red as blood.

He could smell its amazing fragrance.

Tang Hao stretched his lips into a wide grin. He was unable to hold back his joy.

That pill was priceless!

He fiddled the pill in his hands for a while. Then, he stored it in a jade bottle.

He planned to give it to Sis Xiangyi. Her birthday was coming soon.

Then, Tang Hao started his fourth attempt. To no one’s surprise, he failed.

He slept soundly that night. Then, he woke up early the next day and went to class.

When he arrived at the main entrance of Z University, he could feel that the mood was not quite right.

The students were stealing glances at him while whispering among themselves.

“That’s him! I can’t be mistaken!”

Many people were looking at Tang Hao while looking at their phones.

“Where’s the justice? Beauty Queen Liu must be blind to fall for him!”

The boys were staring daggers at Tang Hao, while the girls were looking at him from head to toe and criticizing every inch of his body.

Tang Hao understood what was going on.

They thought that he was Liu Bingyao’s boyfriend.

He laughed helplessly.

He could not blame them though. That day, Liu Bingyao had dragged him from the female dormitory and across the cafeteria. That was enough fuel for rumors to spread.

He shook his head and went into the university.

Chapter 263

Several people glanced at Tang Hao from afar as he stepped into the campus grounds.

There were about eight of them in a row, and they were hiding behind a wall.

The person in the lead was a tall, buff, and handsome male. He was none other than Fang Qiming.

Tang Qiming’s face was incredibly sullen as he glared at Tang Hao.

“Tang Hao…” The two words were squeezed past his gritted teeth. His voice was brimming with hatred.

“How dare you go out with my love interest? I’ll make sure that you can’t survive in Z University!”

His face contorted viciously as he ground his teeth.

He was the president of the student council, and he was extremely well-connected in Z University. It was too easy to [prank] that guy.

‘That guy is quite brazen!”

“I’ve heard that he’s quite loaded too. But would he be richer than Young Master Fang though?”

The people said mockingly.

They turned toward their left to look at someone in their midst.

“I say, Bowen, how could you have a cousin like that? You must have tolerated him for a long time!” Someone laughed at him.

Tang Bowen panicked when they heard that. He looked at Fang Qiming and said, “I’m not close to that guy. In fact, I hate my cousin a lot.”

Then, he glanced at Tang Hao. His eyes were flashing with envy.

He had thought that he was the more superior cousin. He had enrolled at Z University, and he would have a bright future. He was the top student in Tang Village.

Back then, his cousin Tang Hao was only a hooligan and a school dropout.

However, that loser cousin of his struck a fortune. He made a lot of money, and he also earned himself a spot in Z University through his connections.

That had made him incredibly envious!

Fang Qiming glanced at Tang Bowen and said coldly, “You just have to do whatever I tell you to do. I’ll get you a seat on the student council if you succeed.”

Tang Bowen was immediately ecstatic. “Thank you, Council President!” He said.

Fang Qiming turned around again and looked at Tang Hao. “It’s about to start!”

The other people also looked excited.

A squad of bicycles appeared in front of Tang Hao.

Tang Hao glanced at it and did not pay much attention. He continued walking forward.

The squad of bicycles casually cycled along the path. As they neared Tang Hao, one of the bicycles seemed to lose control and rammed toward Tang Hao.

It was moving at quite a fast speed. A normal person would not have been able to dodge it, and the bicycle would have knocked into him.

They would have been sprawled on the floor, and might even be hurt.

Tang Hao shifted his feet and deftly dodged the bicycle.

The cyclist was shocked.

He could not manage to regain control of his bicycle. Instead, he rammed straight into a tree nearby.

Fang Qiming and the other students were stunned when they saw that.

They were prepared to cheer when the bicycle was about to ram Tang Hao. However, that guy managed to dodge it in the nick of time.

“Dammit! His reflexes are too fast!”

“I think he was just lucky!”

“Hmph! You might have dodged this once, but I don’t believe that you can dodge it again!” The corner of Fang Qiming’s eye twitched. His expression became more sinister than ever.

“Are you OK?” Tang Hao jogged over and helped the cyclist to his feet.

“I’m… I’m fine!” The cyclist was a little flustered. He quickly picked up his bicycle and went away hastily.

Tang Hao raised an eyebrow. He understood what was going on.

He had noticed that there was something wrong with the cyclist’s expression earlier and guessed that the cyclist was deliberately ramming him. He was very sure of that when he saw how the cyclist reacted.

His expression returned to normal and he continued walking.

A few steps later, he sensed a commotion on top of him. Then, a basin full of water was poured from above.

Tang Hao tapped his feet and immediately jumped backward.

The water splashed on the ground, sending a burst of steam in all directions.

Tang Hao lifted his head. He saw that a window on the third floor was open and a shadow was hastily retreating from it.

Tang Hao’s expression changed. Once was an isolated incident, but twice meant that there was someone plotting something against him.

Behind the wall, Fang Qiming and the others were stunned again.

‘What just happened?

‘Did he dodge it again?

‘What the hell is going on with him?’

“Hey, who did you pay to carry out the pranks? They’re so incapable!” Someone grumbled.

The corner of Fang Qiming’s eye twitched again and he looked unpleasant. “Don’t worry, there’s still more to come! I don’t believe that he can dodge them all!”

He grinned sinisterly again.

Above Tang Hao, the third-floor and fourth-floor windows all opened. Buckets of hot water poured down like a rainstorm.

“What a spectacle! I’d like to see the kid dodge this!” Someone said as he slapped his thigh, laughing.

Everyone became excited as they prepared to watch the scene unfold.

The water was not boiling but was about seventy degrees Celsius. It would have been a very unpleasant sensation if the water landed on Tang Hao.

Steam from the hot water rose and obscured the surroundings. They could not see clearly what was in front of them.

Then, they looked at the figure standing in the midst of it all and were stunned again.

That figure was still standing there with hot steam rising all around him, but he was not drenched as they expected. He even looked rather collected and cool.

Somehow, he had opened an umbrella from somewhere.

The umbrella was transparent. Beads of water rolled off it and reflected the morning sunlight brilliantly.

He looked unbelievably calm and cool standing there.

Fang Qiming and the others’ mouths opened wider as though they had just seen a ghost.

‘Where did the umbrella come from?

‘Weren’t the past few days sunny? Why did he carry an umbrella?

‘Even if he did, wouldn’t it be in his backpack? So how did he bring out the umbrella from his backpack in such a short time? That’s utterly impossible!’

“F*ck me, where did that umbrella come from?” They exclaimed in surprise.

“This is too uncanny! Just who is he?” Someone said.

Everyone looked at that person. They did not say it, but they agreed with him.

The first time and the second time could be attributed to luck. They could not say the same for the third time.

The commotion had attracted many onlookers.

Tang Hao closed his umbrella and shook the water off. Then, he casually glanced at the corner of the wall.

He grunted slightly, then walked toward the classroom.

The rest of his walk was uneventful. He arrived at the classroom safely.

Just when he was about to push the door handle, he noticed that a gel-like substance was smeared on it.

He smirked, then went into the classroom through the back door.

The boys in the back of the classroom were shocked when they saw Tang Hao coming in through the back door.

That lecture combined several classes. Those boys were not from Tang Hao’s class.

“Why did he come in from the back door?” Someone said.

The people who were waiting for the drama to unfold were immediately dumbstruck.

Chapter 264

Tang Hao looked around and furrowed his brows.

That was the influence the student council president wielded. Fang Qiming could find people to prank him no matter where he went.

The classroom was abuzz with discussion.

The students in the front turned around and talked to each other. Some of them were curious, while others were envious.

“Over here, Brother Hao!” Cao Fei stood up from one corner of the classroom and shouted at Tang Hao.

Tang Hao quickly walked over there.

The boys from another class looked at him mockingly. Suddenly, one of them stuck out his foot, preparing to trip Tang Hao.

Tang Hao’s eyes narrowed. He continued walking and drove his foot straight into it.

He did not break that guy’s foot, but the kick was strong enough to make that person suffer.

That guy screamed in pain. He clutched his ankle, and his face was already as pale as a sheet.

“Oh, what happened?” Tang Hao pretended to be oblivious. “Are you OK?”

That guy nearly popped a vein when he saw Tang Hao’s behavior.

However, he could not admit that he stuck his foot out to trip Tang Hao.

He tried to bear the excruciating pain. He gritted his teeth and shook his head.

“Oh no! Your foot isn’t looking good! I hope it’s not broken!” Tang Hao bent down and pretended to examine it.

That boy trembled when he heard that, as though his soul was fleeing his body.

“Why are you all still sitting down? Send him to the infirmary, quick!” Tang Hao stood up and told the boys urgently.

The boys sucked in mouthfuls of cold air. They were absolutely aware of what happened.

Tang Hao looked friendly and harmless, but he was extremely intimidating when provoked.

Panic was setting in.

They would not hesitate to bully weaker students, but they became cowards in front of someone who fought back.

The few boys stood up and carried the injured boy to the infirmary.

The classroom instantly descended into silence.

Tang Hao glanced at them coldly, then went toward his classmates and sat down.

“That’s awesome, Brother Hao!”

Cao Fei and the other boys crowded around him and laughed.

Very soon, the four periods of the morning class were over.

Tang Hao went to the cafeteria with Cao Fei and the rest. Many accidents happened on the way there. There were bicycles losing control, or soccer balls flying toward his face.

Tang Hao calmly evaded all of those pranks. He did not seem worried at all.

Cao Fei and the others were surprised by Tang Hao’s agility, not to mention Fang Qiming and his gang who were snooping behind the wall.

Their repeated failures were driving them crazy.

“How could this be?” Fang Qiming’s face was ashen. He could not believe what he saw.

He had prepared so many pranks, and there should be at least one or two successes. However, none had succeeded since Tang Hao set foot onto the campus grounds that morning.

That guy seemed to have a real-life cheat code. The extent of his power was unfathomable. He managed to dodge or catch everything, no matter whether they were dropped from above or thrown from behind.

‘Is that guy still human?’

Equally shocked was Tang Bowen.

He thought that he was dreaming.

‘Is that guy really my cousin?

‘Since when did my cousin become so powerful?’

They walked across the campus and reached the cafeteria.

Fang Qiming and the others, who were following behind, also reached the cafeteria.

Their expressions were unpleasant.

“It’s all up to you now, Tang Bowen. Don’t disappoint me,” Fang Qiming said.

“Don’t worry, Council President. I’m his cousin and relative. He’ll definitely let his guard down. I can guarantee that I’ll succeed,” Tang Bowen said with a smile.

“Alright! Don’t let me down!”

Tang Bowen went into the cafeteria.

He got his food, then deliberately went close to Tang Hao. “Hey, is that you, Cousin Hao?” He pretended to be surprised.

He even sounded a little happy.

He walked quickly toward Tang Hao with a big smile on his face.

Tang Hao was eating his lunch. He nearly rolled his eyes when he saw who it was.

‘This idiot again!’ He cursed in his heart.

He noticed his cousin Tang Bowen standing next to Fang Qiming that morning. He knew that those two were accomplices.

He also knew that his cousin Bowen had never liked him, and would probably disassociate with him given the chance. Now that he was so eagerly walking toward him, there must be something fishy going on.

Tang Hao did not display his true feelings but instead smiled widely. “It’s you, Cousin Bowen! What a coincidence!”

“Yeah! What a coincidence!” Tang Bowen smiled excitedly.

Cao Fei and the others were looking at Tang Bowen with surprise.

Tang Bowen came over and quickly scanned the place. He noticed the backpack that Tang Hao placed behind him and his eyes sparkled. Then, he sat down next to Tang Hao without invitation.

“Long time no see, Cousin Hao!” Tang Bowen said happily, “I didn’t expect that you’re also a Z University student now. This must be fate! Don’t you think so too, Cousin Hao?”

Tang Hao nodded in agreement.

Tang Bowen was being very friendly, asking Tang Hao whether he could cope with classes. Those who did not know their relationship would have guessed that they were very close cousins.

Someone came by beside them. His hand accidentally slipped and he dropped his tray. The contents of the tray dropped on the floor and some soup even splashed on other people.

It immediately caused a commotion.

Everyone’s attention was attracted to him, including Tang Hao, who turned over to look.

However, he was still keeping a close eye on his cousin.

Tang Bowen took the opportunity to take out something from his backpack and stuff it in Tang Hao’s backpack.

Then, he took something out of his pocket and tossed it into Tang Hao’s drink.

He breathed a sigh of relief when all that was done. He could not hide the glee in his eyes.

Tang Hao turned back around, pretending to be oblivious.

He took his drink in his hand.

He shook it a little and considered the possibilities. Tang Bowen should have spiked his drink with a laxative. It was the best choice of drug to be used as a prank.

‘Two can play this game!’ He thought and his eyes flashed with viciousness.

‘You’re trying to prank me? You’re way too young for this!’

He flicked his wrist and several small bottles appeared in his hand. They contained ground medicinal herb powder.

“Look over there, Cousin Bowen. There’s a hot chick!” Tang Hao tapped Tang Bowen’s shoulder.

“A hot chick? Where?” Tang Bowen’s eyes sparkled and looked at where Tang Hao was pointing.

Tang Hao quickly emptied the contents of those bottles in Tang Bowen’s cup. No one noticed that he did that.

“Wow! She’s pretty hot!”

Tang Bowen ogled at the girl for a while before turning around.

“Hey, Cousin Hao! It’s so rare that we meet. I propose a toast!”

Tang Bowen said to Tang Hao as he lifted his drink.

Tang Hao grinned. He lifted his drink and clinked Tang Bowen’s, then drank a sip.

Tang Bowen also grinned. He took his drink and downed it in one gulp.

Chapter 265

“Hey, why aren’t you finishing your drink?” Tang Bowen said nervously when he saw that Tang Hao only took a sip.

Tang Hao smiled. He downed the drink in one gulp.

Tang Bowen breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that.

‘It’s gonna happen!’

He almost could not hold back the excitement in his heart.

Then, he sent a text message to Fang Qiming on his phone.

Soon, Fang Qiming and his gang swaggered into the cafeteria.

“It’s Council President Fang!”

There was a small commotion in the cafeteria.

Fang Qiming had an excited expression on his face as he walked over.

Tang Bowen managed to succeed in his mission. All his effort had not gone to waste.

‘This Tang Bowen is pretty useful after all!’ He thought.

He assumed a serious expression when he got close. “Hey you, Tang kid!” He shouted sternly.

The male students behind him spread out in a row. They all looked unfriendly.

All the students were surprised when they saw the formation.

Then, many people understood what was going on.

It was public knowledge that Council President Fang was in love with Beauty Queen Liu. He and Tang Hao were considered love rivals.

Tang Hao lifted his head. “Is there something, Council President Fang?” He asked calmly.

Fang Qiming smirked. “You ought to know why I’m looking for you.

“Tang kid, I didn’t expect you to be a pervert. I feel sorry for Bingyao that she placed her trust in you! I’ll tear apart your gentlemanly disguise and let everyone know how perverted and despicable you are!”

Fang Qiming said indignantly as he pointed a finger at Tang Hao.

The crowd talked among themselves.

“What’s going on?”

“What’s up with that Tang guy?”

Everyone was curious. They stretched their necks and looked at the scene.

Tang Hao chuckled. “Council President Fang, please enlighten me about how perverted and despicable I am!”

“Hmph, you’re still not admitting it? You brought this upon yourself! I’ll expose your misdeeds in front of everyone here so that you can’t argue your way out of this!”

Then, he gestured to the people at his left and right.

Two burly male students stepped forward and grabbed Tang Hao’s backpack.

“What are you doing?” Tang Hao yelled.

“Why? Feeling nervous?” Fang Qiming smirked. “There must be something that you want to hide in there!”

He turned around and addressed the students. “All of you must have heard that there was a lingerie thief in the female dorms yesterday, right?

“I received a tip-off earlier that the culprit is this guy. I suspect that the stolen lingerie is in his backpack.”

Everyone exclaimed in surprise when they heard that.

Many people looked at Tang Hao with disgust.

However, many others were doubtful of that statement.

Given that Fang Qiming and Tang Hao were love rivals, it was too much of a coincidence.

Tang Bowen stood up. “I was the one who informed Council President Fang. I am Tang Hao’s cousin. I didn’t expect that my cousin is such a despicable person.

“However, since I have discovered that ugly truth about him, I have no other choice but to stop him, no matter how close we are!” He spoke righteously.

Everyone exclaimed in surprise again.

More people believed the claim. If Tang Hao’s cousin was willing to speak up against him, then it was most likely true.

Cao Fei and his friends were confused.

‘Isn’t that guy acting all friendly earlier? How did he change his attitude so fast?’

“Brother Hao!”

They were getting nervous. They knew that it was all a setup! Their Brother Hao was not a lingerie thief!

Tang Hao waved his hand and told them to not be worried.

He slowly stood up, glanced at Tang Bowen, then at Fang Qiming. “Council President Fang, are you claiming that I’m hiding stolen female lingerie in my backpack?”

“That’s right!”

“What if there isn’t?”

“That’s impossible!” Fang Qiming nearly burst out laughing.

He witnessed Tang Bowen plant the item inside. It would be impossible that they did not find it!

“Is that so?” Tang Hao smiled confidently. “Alright, you can open it and see for yourself if it’s like you claimed!”

Then, he put the backpack on the table and pulled open the zipper.

Everyone crowded around, their eyes were glued to the backpack.

Fang Qiming was smiling. He could not wait to see Tang Hao’s face upon the realization that the lingerie was in the backpack.

Tang Hao opened the zipper fully and looked inside. “What are you talking about? There’s nothing unusual in my backpack. All of you can see for yourselves!”

He showed his backpack to everyone.

In the backpack were a few textbooks and a few pens. There was no female lingerie as claimed.

Everyone booed when they saw that.

Fang Qiming’s smile froze on his face.

He thought his eyes were playing tricks on him. He rubbed his eyes and looked again. There was still nothing in the bag except for books and pens.

‘How… How is this possible?’ He was feeling incredulous. ‘Didn’t Tang Bowen say that he had successfully planted the item? Why isn’t it inside?’

He turned to look at Tang Bowen.

Tang Bowen was also utterly confused at that moment.

He remembered clearly that he stuffed the lingerie into the backpack. Why was it gone?

“That’s impossible!”

He snatched the backpack and rummaged through it.

Still, he found nothing.

His face was ashen with anger.

“Hey, Cousin Bowen, there’s nothing inside, no matter how many times you look,” Tang Hao smiled mischievously.

Then, he looked at Fang Qiming. “So what do you say, Council President Fang?”

Fang Qiming’s face flashed several colors. He was thoroughly embarrassed.

He had presented a confident claim in front of all the students, but the truth was nothing like he claimed.

“I say, Council President Fang, are you doing this to divert attention from yourself?” Tang Hao said.

“What do you mean?” Fang Qiming said angrily.

“I mean… who knows that you might be the lingerie thief?” Tang Hao said coldly.

Fang Qiming burst out laughing. “What a joke! I won’t do that!”

Everyone also laughed. Fang Qiming was the president of the student council, and he was also handsome and rich. He could not possibly be a perverted person.

“I don’t believe that. Unless… you let me search your body!” Tang Hao said coldly.

Fang Qiming was surprised, though he said nonchalantly. “Alright! Search all you want!”

Tang Hao stepped forward and started patting down Fang Qiming.

Everyone was shocked.

They did not expect Tang Hao to actually do it. It was impossible that Council President Fang carried out such a perverted deed. Even if he did, would he be so stupid to carry the stolen lingerie on him?

That Tang kid must be taking revenge on Council President Fang!

Just when everyone thought of that, Tang Hao seemed to have pulled something out from one of Fang Qiming’s pockets.

They looked closely and saw that it was a pair of lace panties.
