Hello everyone. I'm so sorry for not updating. I had left town for the weekend and there was absolutely no reception at all. So writing was out of the question. Also, University has started again for me so updates will not be as frequent anymore. I will however try my best to update when I can.

Hope you all are still looking forward to the story. Please don't forget to vote and comment.

Here is the next chapter!

~~~
"You can't avoid her forever Rosie."
"I can and I shall."
"She is related to Jennie. She is not going to give up. It is literally in their blood. They are cousins for a reason."
"And I know how she thinks. She will give up soon enough."
"I don't think so. Those flower deliveries are yet to cease."
Rosie didn't answer and Lisa just sighed as she walked beside her. The two of them were currently walking on campus to their respective classes and Lisa was once again trying to convince Rose that the ever-pursuing older Kim was not going to give up being able to talk to her.
Lisa has lost count how many flowers have been sent to their dorm, all the same as they consist of Rose's favourite flowers. While the Thai does not mind flowers, having a whole florist in the dorm is not something she wants to keep. She has to admit, Jisoo has some dedication and from her own experience with a certain Kim and with the two of them being related, Lisa was certain that Jisoo was not going to give up.
"You know her better than I do Rosie. Can you honestly tell me she is someone who gives up easily?"
"...In this case, she has to. I am not going to fall into her web again."
"She just wants to talk Rosie."
"And with my experience with her, I know that is not all she is going to do. I have to avoid her to keep the peace. It is the best thing."
"The best thing for you maybe, but not me! I love you, but I am tired of sneezing every morning because of the pollen! I have a sensitive nose, you know." Rose turned to Lisa and flashed her a glare.
"If it bothers you so much, then toss them." Lisa glared back at her.
"And just what kind of person would I be if I tossed somebody else's gift? If the flowers were for me, sure. But they are yours, therefore it is entirely your responsibility to toss them out."
Rose scoffed and shook her head. "You make absolutely no sense."
"Um, no. I actually make perfect sense. Admit it, you haven't tossed them yet because you like the fact she is trying to get your attention."
Rose's lips just thinned, and she didn't say anything, but that was all the answer Lisa needed to know that she had hit the nail on the head. Lisa couldn't help but sigh mentally in her head. Rose was incredibly stubborn and in aspects like this, it was like talking to a brick wall.
Rose didn't give many details to the blonde when the two of them eventually talked happened between her and the older, but Lisa was able to connect the dots, especially since the evidence was all over Rose's neck and back. But ever since, Rose refused to even acknowledge the raven's presence. She keeps telling the blonde that it was a mistake and a lapse of judgement and that she will never let herself get led by her heart like that again. But Lisa knows that she is bluffing just to cover up the fact that she missed Jisoo and that she enjoyed that night where they apparently reignited their passion for one another.
It was actually heart-breaking for the Thai to watch the Australian completely brush aside the raven's efforts, despite knowing why she was doing such a thing. The first time it happened was when the two of them were exploring the festival and the raven approached, her eyes lighting up when she saw the Australian. But when she tried to talk to her, Rose completely brushed past her, her lips thinning and eyes set dead straight, not daring to look into Jisoo's eyes. Jisoo of course was completely shocked by the cold treatment and looked at Lisa, who couldn't help but flash her a sympathetic look before hurrying after her roommate, not wanting to be left behind.
For someone who could be a total couch potato, she seriously could move quick when she wanted to.
A few more instances happened after that and it seemed that Jisoo got the message that Rose didn't want to talk to her. Although that didn't mean that she was just going to accept it.
The flower deliveries began, consisting of Rose's favorite flowers, and food deliveries were left out their dorm, much to confusion to both blondes. There were no notes or anything, but they both knew who they were from. And while it probably would have been wise to just toss them the first time they got delivered, the two made the mistake and accepted them, which probably encouraged Jisoo to keep sending them.
While Lisa does enjoy a nice romantic story, witnessing it happening right in front of her as Jisoo has done numerous attempts of wooing Rose again, she now felt like she was suffering from second lead syndrome. She honestly wishes that Rose will just talk to Jisoo. There is only so much that the raven can do, considering Rose's icy exterior towards her, much worse than when Lisa first witnessed it when she first arrived at Belvoire. She has crossed the boundary of actually visiting the dorm, but Lisa swears that one of these days that the older Kim will just do that. Lisa could see how desperate she was getting.
Jisoo kind of figured out that Lisa had some inkling that happened between them, so that resulted in Lisa being the sort of messenger between the two. Well, more like the messenger for Jisoo to tell the raven just how the Australian was and if she was receiving her gifts.
"She liked it, right?" Jisoo asked, her eyes wide in hope as she stared at Lisa. Lisa shifted uncomfortably before nodded.
"Yeah, she did. She ate all of it, wouldn't even spare me some." Jisoo chuckled softly at that, a light in her eyes as she smiled softly.
"That sounds like her. Those mini cakes are one of her favourites. She always used to eat them with me."
Lisa noticed the signs of Jisoo getting lost in a memory and she shifted uncomfortably on the spot again as she was unsure on what to do. She honestly was not involved in their relationship, and yet she felt like the lingering chain which was holding them together. She wanted to respect Rose's wishes, because after all, she is practically like her sister from another mister. But then again, seeing Jisoo slaving away just for one conversation with the blonde was just heart-breaking. Her hopeless romantic self was just suffering from the sight.
"Look Jisoo," Lisa started, the raven lifting her head and looking at the blonde as she was snapped out of her small memory. "I honestly wish there is something that I can do to help you. But you have to understand my position here. I can't make Rose talk to you. I'm her friend and I don't want to push her into something she doesn't want to do."
Lisa felt incredibly guilty when she saw the light in Jisoo's eyes diminish slightly. She felt like she had just shot the raven in the foot or something. It was honestly so sad to see. She only hoped that Rose will talk to Jisoo soon. Because her own heart won't be able to handle this forever.
"No, I understand. I'm sorry, this is probably very uncomfortable for you too. It's just...I just want to talk to her." Jisoo's voice sounded so anguished towards the end, desperation clinging to her words as she spoke. And Lisa's heart clenched.
"I may not know everything that happened between the two of you, but I know enough. You know how she is Jisoo. That is all I can honestly say to you."
"Yes, I know." Jisoo sighed, looking down at the floor and biting down on her bottom lip. She swallowed thickly and then lifted her head to look at Lisa again. "Can you...just keep looking after her?"
"Of course, Jisoo. She is my best friend. I will never not look after her ."
"Thank you." Jisoo said, her shoulders relaxing slightly as she let out a puff of breath and then smiled sadly at the Thai. "As long as she is okay, I am happy."
Lisa sighed again, shouldering her backup as she kept walking alongside Rose, deciding to drop it for now. Rose will speak to Jisoo when she is ready. And may it be in a weeks' time, or a years' time, she will eventually talk to the raven. But Lisa can see that her walls are wearing down. Rose can see how hard Jisoo is trying to talk to her, and the raven's efforts bit by bit are breaking down Rose's defences. It is just a matter of time before it finally crumbles down.
For everyone's sake, lets hope it is soon.
"Honestly, it is a disgrace to the whole University!" A shrill voice pierced the air, interrupting Lisa out of her thoughts as she snapped her head in the direction of the voice. And her blood immediately began to boil as she saw who it belonged to and just what the owner of the voice was doing.
Joy was shoving what appeared to be a freshman to the ground, while Yeri was snapping photos of the whole deal while Irene and Nayeon were blocking off any escape of the other victims. They essentially were circling five freshmen in the middle of campus, arms cross and glaring at them while they all kneeled on the ground in shame.
Lisa could immediately make out Yeji being one of the girls, her hugging one of the girls from the side, glaring with hot tears running down her cheeks as she glared at Joy who just pushed the other girl down. Joy scoffed as she noticed the glare.
"You dare try to fight back Freshie? Need a reminder of just who is in charge here."
"Just leave us alone! We weren't doing anything!"
Yeri scoffed this time, stepping forward and her camera flashing as she took a photo of the five girls. "Not doing anything? Ha, you honestly are so stupid, I'm surprised Belvoire even let trash like you in."
"Leave them alone, they haven't done anything wrong." Another girl stood up from the floor and Lisa noticed that this girl was wearing slightly more branded clothes than the others. Taking a closer look, Lisa noticed that three of the girls were basically dressed, jeans and shirts like any normal student, while two were wearing branded clothes, much more expensive than the average clothing.
"You are clearly just targeting Yuna and me. Leave them out of it, they have done nothing wrong." Yeji turned to the girl who just spoke and flashed her an anguished look.
"Lia, you don't have to-"
"No Yeji, we all know why they are doing this." The girl, now identified as Lia said, looking at Yeji sadly before looking back at Yeri and Joy, who both just sneered at the sight of them. "They can't look past someone's background. Some stupid system is much more important than making friendships."
"Friendship with trash is essentially putting us at their level!" Joy shrilled, stepping forward and shoving Lia back, causing the freshman to topple to the ground. Joy glanced at her hands in disgust. "Ugh, now I have dirt all over my hands!"
"Here Joy, here's some water." Nayeon said, smiling as she pulled out a bottle and tossed it to the socialite, who smiled viciously.
"Thanks Nay." She said, unscrewing it and then pouring some on her hands. She smiled and then gripped the bottle tightly before smirking. "Here have some, maybe the filth will be washed off you!"
And just like that, Joy squeezed the water out of the water bottle and sprayed both Lia and Yuna, the two rich girls, with water, laughing as they both gasped at the sudden liquid hitting their face. Everyone on campus began to laugh, those who were watching and those who were participating, taking great delight in the humiliation of the two rich girls with the three poor girls.
"Here, why don't we wash the others. Who knows, maybe the mud in their blood will wash off too!" Nayeon suggested, pulling out more water and tossing them to the others, who caught them effortlessly.
"No!" Yeji screamed, pulling the girl who had tears running down her chubby cheeks in her arms as she pulled her away from Yeri, pulling herself and the other girl into the middle where the other girls scurried to retreat from the oncoming rich girls. Yeri grinned and she unscrewed the water bottle and held it in one hand while pressing record on her phone with the other.
"Yes, I believe showers outside are much more refreshing." Yeri said, stepping forward towards the freshmen before glancing at Irene. "Don't you agree Irene?"
"Hmm." Irene hummed, clearly in thought as she held the water bottle in her hand, staring at the five younger girls in concentration. She then shrugged. "I suppose. Though I doubt any shower water will wash them of their filth."
"True true, but we better try." Joy said, smiling viciously as they all began to close in on the freshmen. She raised her bottle, ready to pour it on them. "Maybe this can count for my charity work."
Lisa could not stand watching this anymore and she immediately began to storm over to the bitch crew, ready to put an end to the bullying. She honestly hated this part of Belvoire and wished that the professors would do something about it but that was like trying to turn vodka into water. Impossible.
"Lisa!" Rose called out, hurrying after her while carrying the blonde's backpack as she just tossed it to the ground before storming towards the rich girls. Those who noticed Lisa's presence immediately sat to attention, eager to see another throwdown between Lisa and the rich class. Lisa opened her mouth to yell for them to stop but a surprising voice beat her to it.
"Enough of this."
Everyone froze, even Joy and the rest of the rich girls as they all turned around to see the owner of the voice interrupting them. Everyone was surprised to see Jisoo walking into the area, her eyes ice cold and her lips thinned as she walked to wear Joy and the others were, their waters still lifted filled with water and not yet unleashed on the terrified freshmen. Jisoo gazed at them before lifting her head to look at the rich girls.
"And just what are you all doing?"
Joy was the first to snap out of the surprise. "Ah Jisoo, just in time. Join us, we were just about to -"
"I asked what you are all doing, not asking for an invitation." Jisoo snapped, her eyes icy and her tone firm which seemed to make Joy flinch back at the tone was directed at her. Yeri looked between the two ravens before speaking up.
"We were just about to shower these freshmen with some water, that is all."
"And why, pray tell, would you be doing that?" Jisoo asked, her attention now on Yeri who flinched at the sudden intensity of Jisoo's stare.
"U-Umm, because those two are with those three trash bags, so we were-"
"Using them as an outage for your frustration? Because if I recall correctly, the five of them have been friends even before Belvoire and you never took a notice of them then."
"W-Well, they were-"
"Simply eating lunch together from the looks of it, and you rudely interrupted them." Jisoo said, glancing over at the outside the table where the five of them were having lunch together, their lunch boxes out and being half eaten. The freshmen looked at Jisoo is surprise but also in hope, the raven being the only ne hear who could give them any type of aid. The rich girls were also staring at Jisoo in disbelief, the raven never before stopping them from their bullying escapades.
"Jisoo, if I may ask, what are you trying to do?" Irene asked, talking in her usual cool tone. Jisoo turned her attention to Irene and raised a perfectly sculpted eyebrow.
"What does it look like I am trying to do Irene?"
"It looks like you are trying to make something bigger than it really is."
"Am I really or are you just trying to downplay what the four of you are really doing?"
The two ravens had a stare off and everyone watched with bated breath at what would happen between the two next. Lisa was frozen in place, staring with wide eyes at the intervention which Jisoo has just done. And she was not the only one. Lisa glanced over to Rose who was just behind her and saw the blonde looking equally as shocked, not expecting Jisoo to intervene at something like this, especially when the perpetrators are her and Jennie's friends.
People who knew Irene well enough could tell the change in her expression. If you looked closely, you could see the slight clench in her jaw and her fists tightened, her eyes zeroing in on Jisoo, her lips thinning just a centimetre before she let out a puff of breath.
"I know when to admit defeat."
"Do you now? That is the first."
"Don't push your luck Jisoo."
Jisoo kept the stare as Irene glared at her and it was eventually the ice queen who looked away, sighing as she dropped the water bottle to the floor.
"Forget it, I have had enough. I am going to class." Irene said, turning around and then walking away, everyone staring after her as she left. Jisoo glanced at the others and Nayeon bit her lip before dropping the water bottle as well.
"Me too. I have an appointment I need to get to." She said, turning away and walking off as well. Jisoo then stared at Joy and Yeri, the two main perpetrators of the whole ordeal. They flinched in fear at the raven's stare.
"I...um..." Yeri started, gulping slightly as Jisoo's eyes narrowed into a glare. While Jisoo did have a nicer reputation, right no you could definitely tell she was related to Jennie. Their glares were just downright terrifying.
"We...are going to go. I've lost interest in this anyway." Joy finished, dropping the bottle, and then turning away to walk off, quickly followed by Yeri who dropped her water bottle and pocketed her phone before hurrying after Joy, both of them scurrying away from the eyes of the whole campus.
Everyone just watched in shock. Never, ever has Jisoo ever interfered so publicly in an act of bullying against poor kids. Yes, she did have kind reputation to them, but she never actively stopped them before and this time, she actually stopped her own friends from bullying the freshmen. It has just never happened before. Jisoo turned to the freshmen and her face shifted into that of concern.
"Are you all okay?"
The girls jumped, not at all expecting the second most powerful girl in the whole university to speak to them.
"U-Umm...w-we are okay." Yeji answered, slowly turning around on the spot to look at Jisoo. Jisoo frowned and then took in their appearances, soaked and muddy from being pushed to the ground, as well as the tears on their cheeks. She shook her head.
"I'm terribly sorry about my friends, they had no right of treating the five of you that way." Jisoo lifted her bag which was hanging along her shoulder and dug in it before pulling out a card and holding it out to them. "Please, call my driver and tell him to take you to this address. You will get new clothes, as well as a prepared meal. Please take it as an apology for ruining your lunch."
The five girls' eyes bulged out at Jisoo's offer and began to shake their heads.
"N-No, that is not necessary! We-"
"Please, it will put my mind at peace. The five of you shouldn't be bullied just for being friends. Family backgrounds should not matter in friendship." Jisoo said, eyeing the two rich girls, Lisa and Yuna, and the others with an apologetic look. Hesitantly, Yeji reached out and took the card from Jisoo.
"T-Thank you."
"You're welcome." Jisoo smiled kindly. She then glanced around and saw all the eyes on her and glared. "What are you all looking at? Get to class!"
And just like soldiers following their captain's orders, everyone just scattered out of the area, all flinching at the tone which Jisoo really uses. She honestly sounded like Jennie, and that was terrifying all on its own. Jisoo stood up straight and dusted the wrinkles off her shirt and raised her head to see Rose and Lisa staring at her, still frozen in shock.
Jisoo's lips parted slightly as she stared at Rose, not expecting the Australian of being there. Lisa glanced between the two of them, unsure on what to do or what was going to happen next. She then looked to see Jisoo make a hesitant step towards them, her eyes locked with Rose's and that action made Rose snap out of her trance, taking a step back from the scene. Rose broke the eye contact and turned to look at Lisa.
"I-I'm going to class. See you later." She said, turning away quickly and hurrying off before Lisa could even say goodbye as well. Lisa stared after her in shock for a few moments before glancing back to see Jisoo doing the same thing, hurt flashing across her face as she watched Rose hurry away. She then noticed Lisa's gaze and gave her a shaky smile before turning on her heel and walking away, leaving the outside eating area.
Lisa couldn't help but feel her heart pinch at the scenario. She sighed. She knows that it is not her battle but still, it hurts being a spectator. Hopefully it will be resolved though, because such tension like this cannot be good for one's soul.
~~~

"I am telling you that I am right."

"Jeon Jungkook, I am telling you right now that you are wrong. It is cereal first and then Milk."

"No, it is milk and cereal!"

"No, it's not!"

Lisa and Jungkook entered the dace class while arguing about the infamous cereal and milk argument. Lisa said it is cereal and then milk, but Jungkook says milk and then cereal. Lisa never thought she would get into an argument like this and yet here she is, close enough to box the brunette's ears with how stubborn he was in this argument.

"I am telling you that I am right."

"No, you are wrong, I am right!"

"No, I'm-"

"Oh, go get married already you ticks." Nayeon's voice pierced the air, knocking the two out of their argument. Lisa and Jungkook turned to glare at her, only to be met with one already, along with the few rich kids.

"Get a life Nayeon." Lisa clapped back, earning a fierce glare from the rich girl. Nayeon's lip curled, and she sneered at the blonde like she was gum under her heel.

"How dare you taint my name you-"

"Shut it Nayeon, I have a headache." Jennie's voice interrupted, the brunette clutching her temple as she gave a side glare to her friend. Nayeon looked at her, taken aback.

"What-"

"I have a headache and am currently running on four hours of sleep. Just keep quiet already." Jennie snapped, glaring at Nayeon as she leaned back into her armchair. Nayeon huffed and crossed her arms.

"First Jisoo and no you, honestly, I think everyone is going crazy today."

"Well, no one is crazy like-"

"No one was asking you Kai." Nayeon snapped, glaring at the silver hair before taking out her phone and distracting herself with it while Kai scowled at the quick dismissal. Jungkook and Lisa stifled a laugh.

"Come on Lisa, lets just go to our seats." Jungkook said, reach out and touching her shoulder before guiding her to her seat. Lisa jumped slightly at the sudden touch by the boy, but she went along with it, trying to ignore his arm slightly touching her upper back as he led her to their seats.

But as she was walking to her seat, she felt a heated stare at the back of her head and when she eventually took a seat and took a chance to look back, she nearly melted to the floor with how hotly Jennie was glaring at her. What did she do?

Lisa turned away, not daring to anger the brunette anymore, not even knowing what she did this time. Instead, she began to chat with Chungha and BamBam, the two joining in on the debate she and Jungkook were having, Jungkook's arm near Lisa's as they spoke. The hot glare at the back of her head didn't decrease for even a second and Lisa worried for a while if she would even be able to make it out of class again.

Luckily though Taemin soon came in and began to call for order, calling the register and checking all of their names before starting the lecture. And after a while, concluding the learning aspect of the class, Taemin gave a reminder of the upcoming auditions for his comeback solo.

"Three weeks I expect you all to be in tip top shape. Rush hour is happening now, and I will only choose the best out of all of you. No arguments and no excuses. This is a true taste of what it will be like in the entertainment industry, and I will not go easy on you because you are my students."

He stared at them all seriously and all of them bowed their heads to him, agreeing with him and understanding that in three weeks, it will be fierce competition between them all. The poor kids may be at a disadvantage, but they had the courage to still try, and they were not going to go down without fighting. After all, a few changes have been occurring ever since the music festival.

"Right, now that I am done saying that. Upper class, into the dance room please, we have much work to do."

And like the practiced action it is, the rich kids got up from their comfy seating and made their way towards the secret door which led to the practice room for them and Taemin, while the poor kids stood up and began to push their chairs and tables away so that they could practice in the open class floor.

As they were all moving, Lisa glanced back to the rich kids entering the practice room. They were going in single file and Lisa then caught the eyes of those chocolate orbs she has come to like so much. Jennie was still looking at her intensely, not glaring at her anymore, which at least was a good sign. Feeling a little bit cheeky, Lisa plucked up the courage and stuck her tongue out at the brunette, deciding to be bold for a while.

Jennie scrunched up her nose at Lisa's action, but Lisa saw the glint of amusement in her eyes and when Jennie quickly stuck her tongue out back at her before entering the practice room, Lisa's heart just soared at the action and the smile which stretched across her face just blinding.

"What are you smiling about?" Momo asked, noticing the sudden wide smile which stretched across the Thai's face. Lisa turned and noticed her friends looking at her with raised eyebrows and she quickly fixed herself.

"Uh, nothing." She quickly said, rubbing her cheeks to get rid of the tingles form the smile and cleared her throat before stepping forward. "Sooo, we gonna practice then?"

"That is the plan." BamBam said, looking at his childhood friend in amusement before poking her in the side, earning a gasp and a slap from the blonde.

"Then let's get to it!" The blonde announced, taking off the hoody she was wearing and tossing it to the side before finding a place for her to practice.

She may have tried to play it off, but the others knew that the blonde was hiding something. It was just a matter of what it is. And Lisa was also unaware that Jungkook glanced back at the now closed door of the rich kids practice room, his eyebrows furrowed as he glanced back at the Thai who was busy stretching. He had a frown on his face and his mind was whirling with thoughts.

Just what is it that has Lisa's attention all the time?

~~~
Studying can be a real bitch sometimes.
While it has been all exciting dancing, performing in the music festival, and getting a sudden surge in popularity, the reminder that Lisa is a university student has kicked her hard in the gut and it was currently killing her as she was studying for a Photography test that was coming up.
With all the practice times that she has been putting into the club, as well into dance class with the upcoming auditions, the blonde may have mismanaged her time a little bit and now she was stressing hard as she was trying to cram down a majority of the work for the test. Luckily, she has these things called friends and thankfully two of them have come to her rescue for a study session in the library.
"I can't believe you have left off studying for this long."
"No need to rub it in Chaeyoung, I am stressed enough as it is."
"Oh, but it is so much fun stressing you out more."
"Oh, go drink some milk and grow already."
"I have grown two centimetres if you must know!"
"Oh Chaeyoung, Lisa, give it a rest already. We have a test to study for." As always, Seulgi came in as the mediator between the two, being the calmer one out of all three of them. Lisa pouted and pointed childishly at Chaeyoung.
"She started it!" Seulgi raised an eyebrow.
"And I'm finishing it. Now read over that page, I am testing you on it in five minutes."
And like a child being ordered by their mother, Lisa followed Seulgi's order, reading over the content and trying to memorise it as fast as possible.
The three of them were studying for hours and even though her two companions already knew the work due to listening n class and doing their own studies in their spare time, they were there to help her and Lisa truly did appreciate it. Without them, she would probably be drowning in all this work. the three of them had been in here the whole afternoon, Lisa giving practice a miss as she seriously needed to buckle down to study and she must say, she was doing quite well even though she was cramming big time.
Even though she covered a basis of the work and it was well into the late afternoon, Lisa was determined to learn the whole work and she smiled understandably at her two companions as they yawned and shuffled in their seats, Chaeyoung playing with her pencil while Seulgi was looking anxiously at her phone.
"It's okay guys, you can leave. You really helped me out big time. I owe you."
Seulgi looked at in concern, ignoring the notification from her phone which popped up. "Are you sure, I don't want to leave you here alone." Lisa shook her head.
"No, I'll be fine. You cause taught me the most of it. I just want to run through it all again and learn the last section. Besides, I have a feeling you have somewhere to be. Your phone hasn't shut up for the last twenty minutes." Lisa said, sending a smirk as Seulgi's phone once again dinged as a message came through. 'Is it the mysterious lover you still won't tell me about?"
Seulgi blushed and hastily gathered up her things from the table, pocketing her phone into her jeans pocket as she packed all her books, papers, and pens back into her backpack.
"I-If you don't need any more help, then I won't say no to leaving."
"Can't wait to see you loooooover?" Lisa teasingly sang, making Seulgi's blush deepen even more as she hastily zipped her bag shut and shouldered it.
"See tomorrow! Bye!" She exclaimed, hurrying away from the table, and ignoring the shushes she got as she hurried out the library. Lisa chuckled as she watched the girl run off, shaking her head.
"I honestly wish she would introduce me to the mysterious lover already. I am interested to see who it is who makes her so happy."
"It will surprise you, let me tell you that." Chaeyoung said, standing up and gathering her papers as well. Lisa snapped her head to the smaller girl.
"Wait, what? Do you know who she is dating?" Lisa asked her eyes wide in question. Chaeyoung nodded.
"Yeah."
"What! Who is it? Tell me!" Lisa said, sitting on the edge of her chair as she looked at the shorter girl for answers, her curiosity tickled and possible being sated. Chaeyoung hummed, holding her chin in thought.
"Hmmm, since you are so eager for answers...nah."
"Huh?" Lisa dumbly said, looking at Chaeyoung in disbelief before shaking out of it as she heard Chaeyoung zip her bag shut. "What? Why?"
"Because it is fun seeing you squirm." Chaeyoung said, a smile on her face as she shouldered her bag. Lisa looked at her in disbelief.
"You can't torture me like this!"
"I can and I will. Besides, you make torture me all the time."
"That is out of love!"
"And this is me out of revenge because of that love. Enjoy studying!" Chaeyoung said, grinning wickedly as she saluted her with two fingers before strolling out of the library, flipping off those who tried to shush her as well.
Extremely put out, Lisa slumped into her chair and crossed hers, pouting her lips as she began to grumble under her breath.
"Stupid, secret keeping Chaeyoung. Think again if you think I'm going to get you that Starbucks I promised you." She pettily grumbled under her breath, taking in some small satisfaction as she imagined the tigress's indignant face once Lisa doesn't buy her a Starbucks. Revenge in a small way.
Lisa sighed as she glanced at her phone, noticing the low battery. She sighed. It was already late in the afternoon, but she wanted to make sure that she knew all the work so that she could focus on the other things going on with her life, so taking a few minutes just to rest her brain, she picked up her high lighter and stared at the book in front of her with determination.
"Let's do this!"
.....
....
...
..
.
Huh? Where is she?
Lisa raised her head and winced as her neck cracked uncomfortably. She felt some drool on her lips and immediately wiped it and tried to get a bearing on her surroundings, her eyes squinting slightly. She was struggling to see and after a few moments she realised why because the library was in almost pitch darkness and there were no students whatsoever in the library. Lisa jumped and glanced around, her jaw slack.
Did she seriously fall asleep and get locked in the library?
Judging from the drool stain on her book, as well as the very dark library, her assumption was proven correct. Lisa groaned loudly and grabbed her hair as she slumped in her chair. Just how stupid can she be? Wait, how late was it?
Remembering that she had her phone, Lisa felt around for it and felt it on the table and immediately tried to switch on, only being met with a black screen again. She kept trying until she finally accepted the fact that her battery was dead, and she had no way of contacting someone to help get her out.
"Just what is with me getting locked inside places?" Lisa mused out loud, groaning and slumping into her chair even more.
A few moments passed and Lisa sighed before gathering up her things, slipping them into her backup. There was no point in studying with no light. She may have excellent vision, but that good to read in the dark. She stood up from the table and sighed, walking away as she decided to try find a way to get out. Who knows, maybe the cleaners forgot to lock a door and it can be her way out of here. But seriously, who doesn't check if all the students are out of the library before locking up? Something is seriously wrong with this place.
But as Lisa was going on her little adventure, she noticed a light from under the door in one of the sections of the library. A separate study room where often the rich kids went into to study, away from the common folk. Lisa squinted her eyes. Is someone actually here? Did they fall asleep while studying too?
Lisa bit her lip, weighing up her options. She groaned. Ah, why the hell not? Who knows, maybe it is a nice one and maybe they both can come up with an idea to get out of here. Straightening up and gathering up her courage, Lisa walked towards the study room, avoiding any tables and trays of books as she made her way there and she took one final breath before knocking on the door and then turning the doorknob to open it.
"Excuse me, is someone in-" Lisa opened the door and peered in and was surprised when saw the body in there turn their head and lock eyes with her. "Jennie?!"
"Lisa?!"
Both Jennie and Lisa stared at each other, jaws slack at the sudden appearance of each other. No way on earth did she expect freaking Jennie to be in here late at night? Hold on, just why was she here?
Lisa looked past the surprised brunette and took in the desk she was working at. She saw several books wide open, as well as several notes spread out with Jennie's cursive writing, feminine and delicate as she was. She turned back to Jennie and took one step in here.
"Are you studying?" Jennie fixed her stunned expression and gave her an annoyed look.
"No, I'm sewing. What does it look like?"
"Jeez sorry. I...um...are you locked in here too?"
"Locked in? What do you mean?" Lisa stepped inside and then widened the door, showing off the dark library.
"The library is dark and locked. We're locked in." She said, getting a sense of déjà vu as she looked at the very brunette she has been locked in with before. She expected a disbelieving look from the brunette, but instead she was met with a laugh and then watched as Jennie grabbed something from the desk and lifted it for the blonde to see. It was her student ID card.
"Maybe you are, but I'm not. I can access the library any time I want with the special entrance and exit." Now that took the Thai by surprise.
"Wait, there is a special entrance and exit?" Lisa asked in surprise. Jennie smirked.
"Yes, for students for me, that is."
"Ah, there is the punchline." Lisa slumped down, realising that she just bit the bait and amused the fisherwoman called Jennie Kim. Jennie smirked and lowered her hand.
"Duh, we upper class have special entrances and exits to very building and we can come and go any time I want."
"And...you are here at night at the library?" Lisa asked, not expecting the library to be the place she would find the Queen B. Jennie sighed and turned around to face the books again.
"You see me here, don't you?"
"Yes, I do...but I want to know why." She asked, taking a step towards her. Jennie glanced back and glared at her.
"Because this is the quietest the library is, and no one will see me then."
"Oh, are you too cool to be seen studying?" Lisa asked teasingly, which earned her a scoff from the brunette.
"I have better things to do Lice."
"Oh, the Lice nickname again! I am wounded."
"You are dramatic." Jennie said, turning a page of her textbook. But Lisa could make out the lifting of her cheek, a sign that the brunette was smiling so that was a victory in her case.
A moment of silence passed, and Lisa awkwardly stood in the study, looking at the brunette as she paged through her textbook, seemingly reading through the contents at a fast pace. After a few moments, Jennie looked back at her.
"Why are you in here so late."
"...Would you believe me if I told you I am part bat and need 19 hours of sleep?"
"While that would explain your freakish ways, no."
"Fine, I feel asleep while studying."
There was a pause between the two before a laugh escaped Jennie lips and soon she was laughing hard at the desk, clutching her stomach as she dropped the page she was in the midst of turning while she laughed. Lisa just stared as the feline laughed in front of her, her heart fluttering faster and faster each passing moment as the brunette's laugh was like a musical melody to her ears. Jennie kept laughing for a few moments before eventually recovering, wiping away tears from her eyes as she smiled a gummy smile at the blonde.
"That certainly sounds like you."
"...Are you mocking me."
"No, but would you like me to?" She asked, leaning back into her chair, and resting her chin on her hands while smiling at her. Lisa hummed in thought.
"Seeing that you do it to me as a regular basis, I will give it a pass this time thanks."
"Aww, and I had such a good one too." Jennie pouted and Lisa did everything that she could to stop herself from cooing at the cute sight. Lisa smiled and gave her a wink.
"Maybe next time."
Jennie blinked several times, surprised at the wink before clearing her throat and turning back to her desk where all the multiple books were.
"Alright then."
Jennie leaned over to start reading the book again and Lisa just lingered in the room before shrugging and then closing the door behind her, leaving the two of them in the room. Taking off her bag, she placed it on the floor and silently walked over to the other char near the desk and slowly took a seat in it, Jennie not saying a word as she read the same page. She noticed the brunette side eyeing her and she swallowed her suddenly dry throat before she glanced at the notes on the table.
"So...you have a test coming up?"
She expected a sarcastic remark again, but instead she got a groan from the brunette and Jennie leaned into her chair and slumped into it, closing her eyes in frustration.
"A massive one. It counts forty percent of my grade and if I don't do well in it, it can seriously affect my overall mark. And my dad will kill me if I get anything less than a hundred."
Lisa looked at Jennie in surprise and then glanced at the work. It all looked like Greek to her as she read some of the paragraphs in each note and book. Business was not something she knew at all so what the brunette was studying at the moment was Greek to her. She looked back at the feline and noticed just how tired the brunette actually looked.
"How much more do you have to study?"
Jennie opened her eyes and turned to one of her books, counting the pages and then holding it up for the blonde to see.
"This much and it is killing me right now that I still have to learn it."
Without a second thought, Lisa reached for the pages she was holding and brushed her fingertips against Jennie's, tingles shooting through her body at the touch. Lisa tried her best to show she didn't feel the tingles and pulled the book towards her, reading through the content. Again, it was Greek to her.
"I have no idea just what you are studying." Lisa admitted, turning to look at Jennie. And she was surprised to see Jennie gazing at her softly, a smile on her face.
"I don't expect you to. You have more of an artistic mind than a logical one."
"That...I will not deny." Jennie giggled, making butterflies flutter in Lisa's stomach as she reached out to grab her book from the blonde, sighing as she looked at the content she still had yet to learn.
"Well, good luck to me."
"...How about I help you study?"
Just what was she doing/? What kind of help could she give the brunette who literally just told her she did not expect her to understand any of the business work she was studying? But Lisa's mouth was faster than her mind and she couldn't exactly retract what she said, watching with wide eyes as Jennie turned to her with a raised eyebrow.
"Pardon?"
"I...uh...I can maybe...help you study...?"
Wow she sounds so lame. And Jennie thought so too as she scoffed and shook her head.
"Sorry Lice, I don't think you will be much help."
"First of all, ouch. But second of all, of course I can!" Lisa said indignantly. Jennie raised an eyebrow.
"Oh really?"
"Yeah! I can...uh...quiz you!"
Without a second thought, Lisa grabbed a random pile of notes and shuffled them neatly before reading one of the paragraphs and then looking over at the stunned brunette.
"Now name five factors of the macro environment."
"...Are you serious?"
"I'm as serious as a heart attack Jennie Kim." Lisa said, flashing her a grin which made the blonde choke in disbelief. She then leaned into the chair and looked at her expectantly. "Now tell me five factors of the macro environment."
Jennie stared at her a few moments and Lisa thought for a split second that she was probably being far too casual with the brunette. While the two of them have slowly bonded with their coffee non-dates and their odd times of being alone in the corridors or on campus, maybe this was being a bit fast and Lisa worried that all the progress that she has made with the brunette may just come shattering down in this instant.
But then...
"Economic, technical, environmental, political and social." Jennie answered, leaning into her seat, and looking at the blonde in expectation. Um...what? Her face must have told the brunette what she was thinking because Jennie rolled her eyes.
"Well, did I get them right?"
"Huh?"
"The answers Lisa. The answers."
"O-Oh!" Lisa said, glancing down at the notes and quickly reading through it and then smiled before looking up and flashing her a thumbs up. "Correct! Five marks for you!"
Jennie rolled her eyes and shook her head, a fond smile on her face. "Next one, please."
"Alright. Okay, tell me what the process is when starting an investment?"
And that is happened. Lisa would quiz Jennie and Jennie would answer them one after the other. It actually shocked the blonde at how accurate the brunette's answers were and she made it look so effortless as she answered, sitting relaxed in the chair as Lisa asked her questions. Lisa has no idea how much has gone by, but she didn't care as her heart was doing happy jacks as she quizzed the brunette. She was quite fine being here with the brunette, especially when she isn't being all mean and snarky like she usually is when they were in public on campus.
"You know, this is technically the second time we have been locked in together." Lisa said, taking a small break from asking questions. Jennie snorted and shook her head.
"We technically aren't locked in. I can leave any time I want with my ID Card. The perks of being rich."
"And the perks of being poor is that I can suck up to the rich!" Lisa said, placing the notes on her lap and then cupping her jaw to flash a cute aegyo to the brunette in hopes to successfully suck up to the brunette to let her out as well when she leaves. Jennie stared at her, her lips parting and her jaw going slightly slack at Lisa's aegyo before she snapped it shut and then shoved the blonde away by the forehead.
"No way, you are not sucking up to me."
"Oh, come on, you can't just leave me in here!" Lisa argued, adopting a whiny voice.
"Stopping talking like that." Jennie snapped, turning away from the blonde.
"Like what? This is how I normally taaaalk."
"No, it is not. Your voice is not that high. Stop acting like that."
"Like what?"
"...cute..."
"Wait, what was that?" Lisa suddenly perked up, her heart fluttering at what the feline said.
"Nothing! Just go away!" Jennie said, shoving Lisa by the forehead again. Jennie's cheeks were pink, and Lisa could not stop the grin crawling along her face.
"Did you call me cuuuuute?" Lisa asked, using her aegyo voice again. Her smile widened when she saw the pink on Jennie's cheeks reddening. This time Lisa got a smack on the forehead, not really hard though.
"N-No I didn't! You heard wrong!"
"I swear I didn't."
"You did!"
"Prove it."
"I...you...I..." Jennie stuttered, staring at the blonde with broken words as she was unable to provide any evidence to prove that Lisa didn't heart the brunette describe her aegyo as cute. Lisa grinned victoriously at the brunette and that just set the feline off, her cheeks red and her ears turning pink as well as she hastily stood up from the desk.
"That's it! I'm done studying!"
"Huh? Already?" Lisa asked, taken aback as Jennie suddenly snatched the book out of her hands and packing them hastily into her backpack, along with her other notes and books in a hurried manner. Jennie hastily zipped it shut and shouldered her backpack.
"Yes, and because you pissed me off now, I'm not helping you out!"
"What? You're just going to leave me here?!" Lisa exclaimed, suddenly jumping in her seat in shock. Jennie glared at her and began to storm towards the door.
"Yes! I hope you don't find a comfortable table to sleep on!"
"You cannot be that cruel!"
"Oh yes I can!"
"No! Wait! Come on Jennie, please!"
Lisa hastily gave chase after the brunette, desperate to get out the library because she was not looking forward to spending a night in this icy building. So, in her efforts she grabbed the brunette's arm to stop her, but in her hurry, she somehow stumbled over her own two feet and ended up tripping into the brunette's, causing a gasp to escape Jennie's lips.
"Lisa!" She turned mid way, her arms partially catching Lisa, but it didn't not stop the impact as Jennie's back slammed against the door, a pained breath of air leaving Jennie's lips and another pained huff as Lisa essentially knocked her forehead against Jennie's, causing both of them pain.
"Shit!"
"Ow!"
Both of them held their heads in pain, both of their eyes closed as they tried willing it away. Lisa leaned her hand on the door in front of her to balance herself, not truly realising the position she was in until she heard Jennie's breath hitch and she opened her eyes to see just what she was doing. Jennie's back was pressed against the wall and Lisa's hand was resting on door beside the brunette's shoulder. Basically, pressing her against it like in those couples found in Kdramas.
Lisa's heart was in her throat as she realised this and she almost immediately noticed just how close the two of them were now, their faces not that far apart. For once, Jennie wasn't wearing heels so the centimetres in height that Lisa has over her was quite noticeable at their closeness, Lisa peering down at her while Jennie was looking up at her. The two of them were close, effectively feeling the warmth of each other's bodies without actually touching. Lisa could make out the details of Jennie's flawless skin and she realised that the brunette wasn't wearing makeup again, essentially showing her bare beauty to the blonde.
This woman had some type of spell casted on the Thai because she affects her so much that Lisa cannot believe to what lengths she will go just to be noticed by the brunette. Positively of course but no one likes to be smacked around, not even Lisa. The first day transferee Lisa would never agree with the Lisa of the present but that does not matter anymore because Lisa was the one in control and her heart just flutters at the thought of the brunette, something which is insane but wonderful at the same time.
Jennie looked up at Lisa and Lisa could see the conflicting emotions in Jennie's face, her eyes flickering between Lisa's and emotions flashing through them so quickly, never settling on one too long. Eventually, Jennie just broke her eyes away and looked down at the floor, her breathy shaky slightly as tried levelling her breaking.
"I..." She started, licking her lips before lifting her head again but still not looking at Lisa. "I...got to go...but...you can come outside with me. Just this once though. It...would be a shame if you got a sore back now, just before the auditions and all."
The auditions were the last thing on Lisa's mind, and she was somewhat curious of why it was on Jennie's mind at this moment.
"Oh, so you care about my wellbeing?" Lisa asked, testing the waters a bit. Jennie's eyes flickered up for a moment and her cheeks went pink, not even bothering to be hidden from the blonde's line of sight.
"I...that...I mean..." Jennie has never been at a loss of words before, and it was honestly surprising the blonde at how often this has become. "I...don't want you to get injured...that is all I am saying."
Lisa's heat fluttered at those words, but she decided to test the waters a little bit more, submerging her legs in the water after she dipped in her toes.
"Is that your way of saying...you care about me?"
Okay, maybe that is more like taking a full plunge in the water but there is no backing out now. Jennie's head snapped up and locked eyes with Lisa and this time, Lisa could clearly make out the emotions. Surprise, shock, and panic. Lisa's eyebrows furrowed at that. What was she panicked about?
"I...I...I..." Jennie was now completely at a loss and she brought both hands up and pressed them against Lisa's shoulders, pushing them away from her and this pushing Lisa away from her and the door. Once Lisa took a step back, Jennie turned around, cupping her cheeks for a moment, and taking a few shaky breaths. Lisa stared in bewilderment at the sudden three emotions she saw, and the behaviour Jennie was showing. But then Jennie took a step and opened the door revealing he dark library.
"Switch the light off as you leave and follow me." She quickly said, walking out the room and into the darkness. Lisa took a few moments to let the words settle in before leaping into action, hastily grabbing her backpack, and hurrying out after the door.
"Hey! Wait!"
Like the brunette told her, she hastily switched off the study light and then quickly hurried after the moving body of Jennie, who was walking towards a door on the far end of the library which Lisa never noticed before. Lisa watched as Jennie scanned her ID card and effectively unlocked it, leading into a tunnel much like the one which Lisa had seen before when Jisoo had helped her and Rose through to their class before.
Jennie was marching through the tunnel, clearly wanting to leave as soon as she could. Lisa hastily followed after her, biting her lip as her thoughts were going a mile per minute. Did she go to far? Did she leap into the waters too soon? Did she just mess up all the progress that she has made with Jennie? It was honestly stressing her out and when they eventually exiting the secret corridor and into the cold evening air, Lisa's brain was ready to melt from all the thinking. Jennie turned to walk towards the rich dorms and Lisa was certain that she was just going to leave without a word, but then she was surprised again when she heard from the brunette.
"Be sure to have my coffee tomorrow." She said, looking over her shoulder to the Thai. Lisa looked at her wide eyed before slowly nodding.
"Milk and two sugars." She recited, which earned a small smile from Jennie.
"Just the way I like it."
And then she left, leaving behind a stunned Lisa as she watched her until her figure completely disappeared into the night.
