Lily's POV…

Dozens upon dozens of people were packed into Jefferson High School auditorium. This was the same place that I never in a million years thought that I would ever step foot in again. Right, when I was about to take my seat I heard a voice that I would recognize anywhere saying, “well, well, well look who we have here.”

“Isn't that Lilian Carmichael?” I hear tormentor number two of my past Carla James asked the main person who made my school days a nightmare Alex Baker.

I just continued to ignore the two as if they weren't even there. “Bitch you, here my wife talking to you.” Alex sneered, showing his nasty attitude immediately.

“Come on babe she's not worth our time anymore besides we're here for your little sister's graduation.” Carla angrily spat at me while pulling Alex away. The rest of the graduation ceremony went perfectly after my little run-in with Alex and Carla. My heart was swelling with pride after watching Mandy prancing across the stage to accept her diploma with a genuine smile on her face.

I stood at the entrance of the auditorium waiting for Mandy to meet me out front so that I could congratulate her in person.  The wind was a bit chilling which made me glad that I had brought along the silver half-jacket that came with my dress. While I was bent over in my car I felt a cloth being placed over my mouth and nose from behind me. I struggled to free myself but was slowly losing this battle and soon felt myself losing consciousness.

Mandy's POV…

I walked off the stage feeling happy and relieved that I was finally done with high school. Now I could leave this town and start my life in a new place where no one knows me. “Mom, there's someone that I want you to meet. She's very important to me and I think that you would love her.” I exclaimed with excitement while I pulled her towards the front of the auditorium where lily was waiting to meet me.

“Mandy, honey are you a lesbian?” Mom asked me after catching her breath as we stood on the outside of the auditorium. “If you are sweetie it's okay.” She rushed to say before I could answer her question.

“No, mom,” I replied. I began to laugh when she let out a loud sigh. Five minutes later I began to look around for Lily when she didn't meet me at the designated meeting area.

“Maybe you should call her again.” My mom suggested. I walked around the dark parking lot with mom behind me while I called Lily on my phone. In the middle of the parking lot, I found her driver's license and other belongings sprawled out on the ground outside of her purse.

“Something doesn't feel right about this.” Kira echoed my gut feeling inside my head.

“Mom, something has happened to my friend.” I immediately voiced as I held up Lily's things towards her.

“Maybe she's alright sweetie.” Mom tried to reason with me.

“No, Mandy don't believe that. Something is wrong here!” Kira yelled at me. I was surprised that Kira even cared enough about Lily's safety to become angry with me about possibly considering my mom's suggestion.
