Chapter 29: Surprise!

"Mine is a different case. My room was on the opposite direction and I went to your room first to give the paper to you."

"No argument." He surrendered. "Anyway, it is a good thing if we are not going to put our bags in our rooms. Why? If the classes were to start and we are still not present, they would be marking us as absent instead of ditching. Well, I'm okay either way."

He has a point. If I will choose between being marked as absent or ditching classes, I will probably choose the former than the latter. Sino ba namang estudyante ang gustong mapatawag dahil sa pagdi-ditch?

"By the way, Cali." I called. "Hindi ba natin ito isasabi sa SC? We accepted their assistance, didn't we?"

"Don't trust them fully." He said, looking at me. "We never know, someone might be working with them. As a student who has great position in ruling the school, they have potential to be one of them."

Don't trust them fully, eh? How about him amd Eudayme? Should I put my full trust to them?

The thought of Eudayme's disappearance crossed my mind again. Many scenarios like him suffering, unconscious, being kept somewhere where no one can find him and etc. is making me nervous.

Cali looked at me, he must have noticed my quietness.

"Don't worry, Eudayme is a trickster. He won't let himself be killed," Cali said while glancing at me. "Especially if he made a promise on going on a date with the person he has a crush on."

I looked at him but he wasn't looking at me anymore. He just looked straight with no tinge of emotion can be seen. He chuckled and looked at me sideways for a second before walking ahead of me.

I believe in Eudayme. He will do anything he can just to survive. He's a detective after all. He can come up with amazing plans.

Hindi naman nagtagal ay nakarating na kami sa abandoned room. Nothing changed, it's exactly as it is when I left it. Or so it seems.

Naunang pumasok sa loob si Cali, sumunod ako. He panned his head from left to right, observing every angle of the room.

"It's been a while since I went in here." Cali said, kneeling and wiping his hand on the floor. "I can still vividly remember the time this place exploded. Eudayme and I were literally blown off by the explosion, and that hurt like hell."

"Should I laugh?" I asked. "Nevermind."

"Felicine, has this paper been here since before?" He called, picking up a paper. 

"No." I replied, approaching him. "There wasn't any other paper aside from the paper I gave you." 

He clicked his tongue before handing me over the new paper. It reads:

eudaYMe is missinG, i know you knew that already. 

is he dead? the Answer depends to what you thInk.

is this the oNly surprise we've put on? oh no! we have something up on our Sleeves.
