Chapter 39: Found Ya'

Unlike any other Mondays, this Monday makes me nervous. It isn't my typical Monday after all, 'yung Monday na tatamarin ka dahil sa hindi ka pa nakarecover sa weekends, 'yung Monday na matutulog ka sa klase, 'yung Monday na ipapaalam mo sa mga kaklase mo kung ano ang nangyari no'ng Sabado't Linggo.

Instead, it's the Monday where our plan will start. The plan where mostly I will do it. Susundan ko kasi si Xachary kung saan man siya pumunta, stalker if you may say it though it's a little bit weird. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang gagawin nila Cali sa planong ito since they haven't told me anything about their part, but I know that they will not let me be in danger.

Kinakabahan ako sa kung ano man ang gagawin ko ngayon, bukod kasi sa baka mapaghinalaan ako bilang stalker, the person whom I will follow might be dangerous. No one knows kung tama ba ang hinala nila Cali na isa siya sa mga miyembro ng organisasyon. No one knows kung may gagawin ba siyang hindi kanais-nais sa tatlong taong sumira sa kanya.

I hope not.

"Good morning, Felicine~" Bati ng isang lalaking puno ng enerhiya pagkalabas ko ng gate ng apartment. He was wearing his uniform and he's wearing the smile that can instantly kill every girl's hearts- not mine, by the way. "Where's Cali? Lagi ba 'yong maagang pumapasok at hindi ka sinasabayan? Isn't he aware about the dangers around the corners?"

"No need to worry, Eudayme." I said while closing the red gate. "Besides, lagi ka namang nakasunod sa akin, 'di ba?"

Napakamot lang siya sa kanyang ulo habang nakangiti. Ever since kasi na magsimulang maging delikado ang organisasyon, lagi na niya akong sinusundo at hinahatid. Hindi ko nga alam kung meron ng mga tao ang nag-aakala na magkarelasyon kami- which is not true, by the way.

"Maaga pa naman kaya 'wag tayong magmadali papunta sa school." He said while looking at his silver wrist watch. Sunod naman siyang napatingin sa leeg ko habang naningkit ang kanyang mga mata. "Did Cali or Horace gave you that silver necklace?"

I shook my head immediately. I need to keep this necklace a secret even if he's included in the organization hunt case. Kahit na gusto kong isabi ang tungkol dito, I swore myself to Cali that I will prevent him from knowing anything about this plan we created. Ayokong magkaroon ng gulo.

"My Mom gave it to me last Saturday." I answered. That answer should be safe. Nagsimula na akong maglakad, leaving him behind. Hindi naman nagtagal ay nakahabol siya sa akin. "By the way, what was your business last week?"

He caught a glimpse at me before returning it ahead. He chuckled softly. "That business? It has nothing to do with you but still, I won't share it." He winked at me then slid his hands in his pockets. Why does that sound like confidential? "Speaking of last week, I heard that you stopped a group of insults."

"Yes I did but from whom did you heard it? Konti lang naman kasi ang taong naando'n nang mangyari iyon." I asked him. He wasn't there when that time happened. The only ones who were there was me, the three students who were insulting the nerdy girl, only few students and Xachary? Hindi ko alam kung alam ni Xachary ang tungkol do'n pero nakasalubong ko siya.

He just shrugged his shoulders as an answer. Why do I have a feeling that he's hiding something from me? It's not like that I am required to know everything but this feeling of mine is making me uneasy.

Kung meron man siyang tinatago, I say that it doesn't matter, meron din naman kasi akong tinatago sa kanya. Patas lang kami.

Hindi naman nagtagal ay nakarating na kami sa school. Dumiretso na ako sa 3rd floor kung saan ay matatagpuan ang classroom ko. Si Eudayme naman ay nakabuntot lang sa akin, hinatid ako sa room ko.
