Derek keeps paging me to come back, but I don't answer. I am hiding in an on-call room. Derek finds me, knocks on the door, and says,'' Mer I know you're in there. Meredith comes on, I know you can hear me. Listen I know you feel guilty that Zola is sick, but it's not your fault. Come on let me in.'' I open the door pull him in close the door, and lock it. He pulls me into a tight hug and says,'' It's ok let it out.'' I cry and cry. He picks me up, sits on the bed, and holds me. I fall asleep. Bailey comes in. Derek says,'' I don't want to wake her up if it's bad news.'' Bailey says,'' Wake her.'' He wakes me up. Bailey says,'' She is fine. The shunt is fixed and the virus is gone. In about a week she can go home.''
1 week later
I say,'' Come on zozo.'' She gets her tiger that Derek gave her when we say that tiger roaming the streets. Derek picks her up and puts her in her car seat. We get home and put Zola to sleep till dinner. I make my way to the kitchen and start cutting potatoes. Derek comes around me and grabs the green peppers and starts thawing out the steak. He starts cutting the green peppers next to me. I reach over him to grab a pot. He says,'' Really.'' I say,'' What I needed a pot.'' I tell him,'' Watch the potatoes I am gonna go take a shower.''
After the Shower
I say,'' Oh you listened and didn't sneak in the shower with me good.'' I go into the room and put on his shirt and some leggings. I go into the kitchen and make Zola's favorite juice. He comes out of the bathroom and says,'' Are you trying to get me to kiss you.'' I say,'' Whatever do you mean.'' He says,'' You are wearing my shirt.'' I say,'' It's comfy.'' I go to the table and set it up and then remember that I invited Lexie, Mark, and Amelia. I go over to him and say,'' I forgot to tell you that I invited Lexie, Mark, and Amelia to dinner.'' He says,'' Ok. Lexie and Mark come in. Lexie says,'' Mer can I talk to you for a minute. We go into the room and she says,'' Did you tell Derek I was pregnant.'' I say,'' No I thought you and Mark wanted too.'' Lexie says,'' Good. Me and Lexie make our way into the dining room. Amelia comes in and says," Hey Meredith Who's this." I had totally forgot Amelia and Lexie never met. I say," OMG I forgot you too don't know each other, Amelia this is Lexie, Lexie this Amelia, Derek's sister." She says," Let me guess marks your boyfriend." Lexie says," No my husband." Amelia says," oh well his bed skills amazing right." Lexie says," How do you know." She says," I slept with him when I was here after Derek got shot." Lexie says," Mark can we talk." I tell Amelia," why did you say that she doesn't need to know that you slept with her husband."
