"What the hell are you doing here!" Derek shouts, walking toward the door. "You aren't welcome." I get up and go to the door. "It's Finn the vet, my ex." I confirm eying him. "Finn how nice to see you please come in." "Thank you, Meredith." " Would you like something to drink?" I ask, getting ready to walk into the kitchen. I get pulled to the side by Derek, confusion sculpting my face. "What's he doing here, and who invited him?" His teeth grit, looking over my head toward the brood man. "I did, is there a problem?" I walk away from the angry man who is my husband. I walk towards Finn and ask," How is Jackie." I looked at my husband and say confusion in his face. Finn replies," She is great we had a kid."" That's amazing." I reply Finn walks next to us and says," so I just wanted to say hi I have to go now Jackie is waiting for me ." I say," did you propose, since you to had a kid." He said," We got married when she told me she was pregnant." I say," That's good I am happy for you I will see you later Finn." He leaves and my angry husband leaves and goes into the bedroom. I try to chase him but I am not in the mood. I clean up in the living room and put on my PJ'S. I get in the bed and put my head on his chest. I can feel his heartbeat. It's fast. He must be thinking. The only time his heartbeat is fast is when he is thinking or worried.
𝗗𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗸 𝗣𝗢𝗩 I can't stop thinking about Finn. Why he was here? I love Meredith I took vows. But what if she leaves me for him. I can't bare it.
𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗢𝗩 Derek puts his hand on my back and pulls me closer. I move my head and slowly get up and face him. I tell him," I won't leave you for him, I know you are thinking that." My sappy husband looks at me and replies," I know I love you." I kiss him and say," I love you too.
3 AM
I wake up and move my fast asleep husbands hand off my waist and go to the bathroom. I go into the kitchen and grab some cold leftover Chinese. I plop on the couch and put on a movie.
DEREK POV
I hear the television downstairs and think to myself Meredith must awake. I go downstairs and see my sexy yet tiny wife asleep. I grab the Chinese box and throw it away. I pick Meredith up from her lags and carry her up the steps to our bedroom. I pull the covers over her tiny body. I get in the bed and feel her move to where her hand is on my bare chest and her face is buried in my neck. I hear my phone ding and see it's our anniversary. I lightly sit up and call Bailey.
Bailey: This better be good Shepard
Me: Hey can we come back in tomorrow
Bailey: Yes why
Me: It's the anniversary of the day Meredith and I got married and I wanted to surprise her
Bailey: Oh yes I will distract her tomorrow while you plan the surprise. GN Shepard
Me: GN bailey
I get back into bed and Meredith wakes up and says,'' Who was that'' I quietly say,''Bailey we can go back to work tomorrow.'' She says,'' Ok no offense but it is hard to be stuck with you for 2 weeks." She falls back asleep. I smile and quietly say," I love you Meredith Grey- Shepard."
