It had been a couple of weeks since we lost the baby. I still felt horrible. Derek tried his best to comfort me but I still felt like things would be too soft and I couldn't breathe. It had been almost 4 days since I slept. I would just be laying on different floors. One time I did fall asleep and Derek brought me up to bed. "Meredith hey you ok." My husband asks "Yeah, I am perfect just peachy." I snap back He looks at me with a sad face "I'm sorry that was rude of me," I say "It's ok your in mourning still. I am gonna go make breakfast." I turn around and stare at his piercing blue eyes saying," I'm not hungry." He looks at me and says," You have to eat something Meredith." "Fine" I reply He goes downstairs and starts cooking and I grab some sweatpants and one of Derek's plaid shirts. I go downstairs and try to sit on the couch but end up lying flat on the floor. He stops cooking and sets me in the chair kissing my head. I take a piece of bacon and bite it. I eat a couple of bits of eggs and juice. I get off the chair and go into the bathroom. I turn on the shower and get in. I fall to the floor and start crying.
Derek POV
''She still isn't sleeping. She isn't eating. When she does eat then she will lock herself in the bathroom, Bailey.''
'' She's coping, trying to understand, she thinks it's her fault give her time.''
''ok.''
I hang up and hear crying. I go into the bathroom and see her sitting in the shower crying with her hair on her face. I get in the shower and pull her close. She cries on my shoulder and starts shivering. I turn off the shower and grab her towel. I pick her up and she wraps her arms around me. I grab her some clothes that are comfy. I slip them on and go downstairs. I grab a cold glass of water and put a sedative in my hand. I give her the pill and water. She hands it back and I tuck her in. I go downstairs and hear the doorbell ring. Bailey, Richard, Cristina, Mark, Lexie, Arizona, Callie, Alex, Wilson, Amelia, Link, Maggie, and Winston.
''What are you all doing here.'' I ask Bailey says," We wanna be her for Meredith." Everyone comes in. The women go upstairs to stay with Meredith. Amelia, Callie, and Lexie take the kids into Zola's room and then go back upstairs. The guys start cooking dinner.
𝑈𝑝𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑠 Meredith wakes up and see all the women crowed around her. "What are you all doing here." She asks Amelia says," Your family we family stick together." She starts crying and says," Is this my fault." Bailey runs her back and says," No this is nature we have all went through except Maggie and Wilson." "Actually I went through when I was with Paul I felt just like you do Meredith it hurts." Wilson says Cristina says," I can't believe I am gonna do this but she needs hugs." They all gather around her and hug her.
𝐷𝑜𝑤𝑛𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑠 The men are talking and cooking when Derek says," I'm gonna check on Meredith." He goes upstairs to see all the women hugging Mer. They all leave and Bailey pats his shoulder saying," Good luck." He sits on the bed and grabs her hand and kisses her forehead. She grabs his shirt and pulls him into a deep kiss. She lets go and says," I love you and thank you for being here with me while I went through this." "Thats why I married you in sickness in health for richer or poorer. No running remember." He says He goes down and says," Thanks for being here everyone but I think I can handle this now. Everyone grabs a child they had and leaves. Derek goes upstairs and cuddles with Meredith as she finally falls asleep.
