It's 5 am and I can't stop thinking about what happened early with me and Derek. He is cuddling me and Zola. I get paged to the ER. I wake Derek up and say," I have to go to the hospital." He says," OK." I leave and see Hunt. He says," So how are you and Derek." I say," What do you mean." He says," The president called him early saying they wanted him to finish working on their project." I say," Oh yeah we are working it out. So why did you page." He says," Oh we don't need you now." I leave and go home to see Zola asleep in her room." I see Derek in the room sleep. I get in the bed and he turns and puts his hands around my waist. I remove them and fall asleep.
𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 I hear Derek come into the kitchen. He wraps his hands around my waist while I am cooking. I remove them and move to the fridge. He says," Everything ok." I say," Yeah just cooking." He says," I am gonna go take a shower wanna come." I say," Nope can't I'm cooking." I go wake Zola up and get her dressed. I give her 1 pancake and some syrup and apple juice. I go into the room and start taking off my clothes. Derek comes in and starts kissing my neck. I pull away and say," I have to go to work." He looks at me pushes me against the wall and starts kissing my neck. I try to pull away but I don't want to. He says," Do you have to leave now." He looks at me and kisses me I try to pull away but I end up kissing him back. He takes off my shirt and says," You have time." I want to leave because I am so mad at him for not telling me that the president called. I pull away pick up my shirt and go into the bathroom. I put my shirt back on. I grab Zola and go to the hospital. I drop Zola off at daycare and get changed into my scrubs. Derek pulls me into an on-call room. I say," Derek come on I have to go." He says," What is going on with you, you won't let me touch you or kiss you I can't talk to you without you leaving." I say," Derek Christopher Shepard let me out of here." Derek says," Are you mad at me. You only say my full name when you are mad at me." I leave the room and bailey says," Hey Grey have you been In contact with Shepard for the past 10 min." I say," Yes why." She says," you guys need to go home and quarantine for at least 2 weeks no inside or outside contact as soon as you get home." I say," well if we are gonna have to do that then I have some questions 1. Can we have sex? 2. Can we go grocery shopping before we get home? 3. Where will Zola stay?" She says," Yes, Yes, and Zola will be with Callie and Arizona. I go get Derek and tell him to get his things. He says," I love you but what is all the food for." I tell him," We were exposed to a virus and have to quarantine for 2 weeks. I got us necessities." He says," can we talk." I say," How about we talk about the part where you don't tell me that the president called you." He says," Meredith." I say," You know what save it I thought we were supposed to be husband and wife." He says," Meredith." I say," Take me home." We get home and I put away the food while Derek goes into the room. He puts on some sweatpants and shirt and some socks. He brings me some leggings, socks, and a plaid shirt of his. I put them on and wash the dishes. I clean the entire house and he does the laundry. I fix us some food and turn on the T.V. He says," what are you doing." I say," Foods on the table come sit we are gonna watch a movie." I get in a blanket and he says," Can I get under with you." I say," Sure we can cuddle while eating and watching the movie." He gets under and then 10 min later he stops the movie. I say," Ok if we are gonna quarantine you can't just pause the movie Willy nilly." He says," I am not going. I am not gonna help the president. I realized when we had to quarantine that I don't want to die I may have had my life with you but you haven't had it with me. I am not going to miss Zola's 1st birthday or her graduation or her getting married. I am staying." I say," Derek that's not the problem. The problem is that you never told me.'' He says,'' Meredith I don't have to tell you everything You don't own me.'' I say,'' Wow yeah obviously I don't so maybe we shouldn't have taken those vows.'' I walk away and go into the room. I pace around the room wondering why I married him. I go into the living to see him watching the video from when Zola started walking. I see the way he looks at me with his ocean blue eyes and I fall in love with him all over again. I go toward him and he gets up and puts his hand around my waist and I put my arm around his neck. He says,'' Your right I should have told you the president called I am sorry.'' I touch his face and say,'' We are married we have a kid and hopefully we'll want another one. We have to communicate.'' He looks at me with his eyes and says,'' I love you Meredith Grey and I always will.'' He kisses me. I say,'' I love you, Derek Shepherd." He says," What do you want for dinner." I say," IDK how about Chinese." He says," but we are quarantined." I say," who said we had to order it we have the ingredients." He goes into the kitchen and says," Rice and chicken." Everything was fine or so we thought.
