I wake up to Meredith dancing in the kitchen making breakfast. I go behind her and wrap my arms around her waist. I kiss her neck and say," It's nice to see you happy." She turns around and says," I'm more than happy wanna have some fun." She turns off the stove and grabs my hand and leads me upstairs.'' Mer maybe we should take it slow.'' I tell her "Momma I'm hungry," Zola says from outside the door. She gets and gets changed and feeds Zola. I get dressed and go downstairs. We get Zola dressed and make our way to the hospital. '' Meredith how are you,'' Arizona asks. "Great and ready to work.'' She replies
"Got to go a trauma is coming in.'' She says. She kisses my cheek and walks away
QUICK MER POV
"Hi, my name is Dr. Grey I will be your doctor today. So what seems to be the problem.'' I ask the patient
"My stomach is killing me it started yesterday but I thought it would go away but now it feels like I am passing a kidney stone. I am sorry I overexaggerate my Mom is a doctor and she always thinks the worst but she said I should get it checked out. The patient tells Meredith
" Ok well let's do an ultrasound to see what's going on,'' I reply to the patient
I put the cold gel on her stomach and play with the monitor. I enlarge it to see she is having an incomplete miscarriage.
" Page Dr. Robbins now 911'' I tell the nurse
''Ok, so we need to get you to the OR right now. It appears you are having an incomplete miscarriage, no need to worry though we will fix it.'' I tell the patient
" Ok thank you I'm gonna call my Mom.'' the patient says
I grab the rails and take her to the OR. Arizona comes in and says,'' incomplete miscarriage.''
''Yep she is prepped and ready I'm gonna go,'' I reply
I walk down to the hallways to see Derek. '' Hey, I was just about to find you how's your first day going.''
'' Great,'' I say
I pull him into an on-call room and start kissing
"Wow really great huh maybe we should take it slow I mean we did just lose a child.'' He says
" I'm topless way to ruin the mood,'' I say
'' Meredith come on.'' He says
I put my shirt back on and leave.
A couple of hours later a guy comes in with swallowed marijuana bags in his intestines.
'' You know that they could pop and perforate your bowel and you could die,'' I tell the patient
" Dr. Grey can I see you for a second,'' Derek says
"Absolutely,'' I reply
He takes me to an on-call room and closes the door. I take off my shirt and look at him.
" Listen maybe- what are you doing .'' He asks
" I thought you wised up,'' I say
" No, I'm worried about you.'' He says
" I'm topless why are we still talking about this you know ever since we lost a child you've been acting like I'm a delicate flower'' I reply putting my shirt back on
" I'm worried of course I want to have sex with my wife.'' He says
" I am your wife I'm here I'm alive I am your wife,'' I yell
" You know forget it I have to go retract these marijuana bags from this dumbass before he perforates his abdomen,'' I say
I leave the room. I come out the O.R. after saving that guy's life. I go to my car and start unlocking the door. I feel hands on my shoulders. It's Derek. He kisses me passionately. He picks me up as I shriek. He puts me in the back. I'm sitting on top of him and pulling off his shirt as he unbuttons mine. I wake up to him holding me. I look at him and shake my head. I put my clothes on and get out of the car. " Where are you going.'' He asks
" You regret having sex with me I can see it in your eyes,'' I reply
"Meredith.'' He says
" I knew it unbelievable. I'm not that fragile delicate flower that once was the intern. Stop protecting me or else I will get hurt.'' I reply
I leave the hospital and go home. I grab some clothes and go to a hotel room. I call bailey and ask for a couple of days away from the hospital.
2 DAYS LATER
" Meredith Grey you're drunk and angry but I feel I have to protect you ok.''
" No, you don't ok my whole life I had to follow in my Mother's footsteps. Then finally I found someone who knew me inside and out. Who loved me for me. Amazing in bed and didn't compare her to me. I'm not that fragile delicate flower that once was the intern. Ok if you keep protecting me I will get hurt.'' I reply
''Ok fine I won't do it unless it's needed.'' He replies
