Zhuqin had run quite a distance from her persistent cousin before stopping to catch her breath. She looked behind her and could only wonder what Lan Wangji was going to say to Wei Wuxian in regards to breaking the rules. Despite Lan Wangji's warnings, Zhuqin had planned to sneak her way back and potentially save Wei Wuxian from trouble but a sharp water reflection caught her curious attention.

Knowing Zhuqin, she could have chosen to go back and save Wei Wuxian from trouble. But her love for water was another thing. With a curious smile, she began to look around for the source of the water's reflection. Walking a little further up the path, the moon's light shined brightly upon a wave of calm water, almost looking like a spring.

"Wow~~!"

She was in awe. Her maiden eyes grew huge from the excitement and her heart began to race as if she was in a hurry to just jump into the water.

Zhuqin curiously walked closer and saw that the place itself looked too mesmerizing to just be a regular spring up in Cloud Recesses. She could see a few dark green vines hanging from the top of the green natured wall and small trails of water effortlessly pouring down from the top of the leafy wall into the springs down below. With the moonlight, Zhuqin could see through the clear blue water. On the other side were a set of stone stairs, going up with the aid of two bright stone lanterns showing the way.

"Hao mei a (How beautiful)~" She excitedly whispered.

The Jin maiden hurriedly lifted her bottom garments and placed the Loquat fruit basket down beside her. As she squatted down to touch the water, Zhuqin slightly tensed up at the icy cold touch.

"Eee hao leng a (So cold)~~" She shrieked.

For a few more minutes, she brushed the water back and forth, enjoying every moment she could. As she thought her fun was over, Zhuqin stood from her place and shook the remaining water off. She innocently fixed her garment from any rumples and was about to pick up the Loquat fruit basket when the same sudden shot of pain pierced into her heart.

Zhuqin heard herself choke for a split second as she slowly dropped the basket and grabbed onto her chest.

She was almost in disbelief that the same pain would return.
