Chapter 13

The next day Naruto woke up in the hospital.

"Ero-sennin?"

"What are you talking about?" asked Shikamaru.

"Shikamaru!"

"Do you have to be so noisy? What a drag."

"Where is Choji."

"He is in the hospital too, that’s why I’m here." Naruto noticed flowers in a vase.

"Whose flowers are they?"

"You don’t know? You had to sleep for a long time. It was Hinata, she visited you every day you were here."

"Hinata?"

"Yeah." Naruto smiled.

"Do you want to visit Choji with me?"

"O-oh, yeah."

"All right." They went to visit Choji, but before that they heard a noise in Lee’s room.

"W-what’s happening there?"

"We'll find out!"

"W-what a drag." They found Gaara trying to kill Lee.

"Aren’t you Gaara?!"

"Don't get involved or I'll kill you!"

"W-what are you doing here?"

"I want to kill him!"

"We won’t allow this!" Shikamaru caught him in his shadow.

"We have you!"

"I'll kill you two guys too. The blond boy first."

"H-he’s a monster," thought Naruto.

"W-what are you?"

"A monster."

"I have one inside me too!" said Naruto.

"Wait, Naruto, it’s supposed to be a secret!"

"Then we are the same!" said Gaara. He wanted to kill them, but Guy stopped him.

"Stop it! What are you doing in Lee’s room?!" Gaara looked at him and left. Naruto and Shikamaru were relieved.

"T-that was close," said Shikamaru.

"What are you two doing here? You should prepare for the finals."

"Oh yeah! Shikamaru, how many days are left for the finals?!"

"They are tomorrow."

"Ahhh!!! I slept so long!" Naruto ran away.

"Why he’s in a rush?"

"That’s the power of youth!"

"What a drag."

"Tomorrow are the finals! I have to train!" Naruto went to the training grounds. He trained mainly his taijutsu.

 "N-Naruto-kun is training hard…" thought Hinata hiding behind the tree.

"Here you go, Neji!"

"H-he really wants to fight Neji-nii-san." Suddenly, Naruto ran toward the tree behind which Hinata was hiding.

"H-he’s coming closer!"

"I have to improve my chakra control! Huh?" Naruto hung on a tree branch and saw Hinata.

"Hinata? What are you doing here?"

"W-well, I just came to train too!" she said nervously.

I can’t tell him the real reason, he could misunderstand it.

"Really? Then we can train together!"

"H-huh?!"

"Why not? You said you want to change, right?"

"T-that’s right…"

"Actually, it suits me, they are the finals and I need someone to train with-ttebayo!"

"W-what do you want to train?"

"Hmm, taijutsu and you are good at it, Hinata, I saw it."

"My taijutsu isn’t so good…"

"What are you saying? You were amazing!"

"R-really?" Hinata blushed.

"Of course!"

"A-all right, I’ll help you…"

"You are the best, Hinata!" He hugged her, but Hinata fainted.

"Huh? Hinata? Are you all right? Aren’t you ill?"

"N-no, it’s nothing!" They began to train. Hinata blocked his chakra points many times, but Naruto never gave up. They trained almost all night. Then they fell asleep. When Naruto woke up, he remembered something.

"The finals!!! I will be late!!!" he yelled and woke Hinata.

"W-what’s happening?"

"I’m sorry I woke you up. But I have to go now!" he said, but he stood still.

"S-shouldn’t you go?"

"Yeah, but do you think I can defeat a genius like Neji? I'm just a loser."

"That’s not true! You are strong!"

"Hinata? Well, I’m not so strong how you think I am."

"Maybe you are not a genius, but you never give up! You don’t go back on your words, that’s your ninja way. And I think that you really can defeat Neji-nii-san," said seriously Hinata.

"You know, Hinata, I always thought you are shy and weird, but I really like people like you! Be sure to come see me and Sasuke!" said Naruto and left. Hinata blushed. That was the most beautiful thing anyone had told to her.
