It's super short, but I didn't know what else to do. First time trying a songfic, hopeful I did okay.

Song is 'Not Over You' by Gavin DeGraw.

Dream sat at a table for two, waiting for his date to arrive. As his eyes wonder the restaurant, he tries to keep his hands away from his phone, to not start scrolling through his camera roll. To not look at pictures of him.

"I stare at a picture of you,

"And listen to the radio."

Soft music plays overhead, giving a serene feel to the quiet place. Light rain patters the window from outside, hopefully she gets here alright, he thinks distantly. Cars pass the building, splashing small puddles that formed around the road.

"If you ask me how I'm doin'

"I would say I'm doin' just fine."

His mind flashes with memories, but he pushes them down. Any minute now. He sees a Honda pull into the parking lot. 

"I would lie and say that you're not on my mind."

A feeling bubbles in his chest, and it tightens around his mind. George loved the rain. Dream tries to shakes the memory away.

"At a table set for two

"And I'm forced to face the truth."

His hand itches to his phone, desperate to just see him, but he pulls it away. 

A mental clock ticks in Dreams head. He has to face cold truth of the situation. 

"No matter what I say,"

The blonde picks up his phone and puts it at the end of the table on silent. He takes a deep breath as he hears the bell ring, leg starting to bounce up and down. 

"I'm, not over you."

The girl comes up to the table, taking the seat in front of him. Her dress slightly wet from the rain. She runs a hand through her brown hair, "Hi, I'm assuming you're Clay?"

Dream chuckles, "Yeah, I am. Nice to meet you."

A voice echoes distantly in his head, I want you back George.
