𝑶𝒎𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕 - 𝒇𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔 𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓

Peyton was now happily married to Noel.
A part of her would always love Christopher.
Both her and her husband knew that.
But they didn't need to acknowledge that, to keep each other happy.

A year into their marriage and no problems arose.
They hoped none ever would.

Walking down the street, Peyton was on her way to meet up an old friend.
A familiar looking head caught her eye.
"Christopher?" She stuttered, caught off guard.
"Peyton?"
"Hey" She smiled. It wasn't like they hadn't sorted stuff out at their sisters wedding.
"Hi. How's it all going?"
"Good,you?"
Christopher opened his mouth to respond but was interrupted by a brunette walking up to him.
"Hey babe" She kissed him and Peyton was surprised.
Call her narcissist but she didn't think he'd find love like that.
"Hello" The brunette looked at Peyton, smiling sweetly.
"Hey" Peyton smiled back. She looked sweet.
"Who's this, babe?" The brunette asked Christopher.
"This is my um...friend, Peyton"
"Any friends of Chris are friends of mine" The girl smiled "I'm Annika, his fiancée"
"Oh wow, congratulations" Peyton said, genuinely feeling good for the two.
Her phone pinged. It was the person she was supposed to meet.
"I'd love to chat, but I've gotta go" She said.
"Oh!" Annika clapped "We could have a little party, just us and you and your partner, if you have one"
"Husband" The girl said.
"Congratulations. Maybe we could exchange numbers" Annika said and Peyton nodded.
Annika was really a nice girl.
She watched them walk away, and smiled to herself
Not every couple was meant to be.
Christopher and herself weren't.
And that was okay.

If I can't be happy, happy with you
I'll be happy, happy for you
I guess no hard feelings
'Cause love's looking good on you
If you're happy, I'm happy, I'm happy for you

A/N : kinda a realist ending here, since not all love stories have happy endings ❤️
