Peyton and Christopher stared at each other, neither of them willing to walk away, challenging each other.
Finally, Christopher was the one to speak.
"You've changed"
Peyton scoffed.
"No shit, Sherlock"
"What do you do, now?"
"Businesswoman. And you?"
"What exactly do you do?"
"I own EdgyBeauty" Peyton was proud of her self- made beauty brand, one which was on the road to success
"Wow, okay. I'm in a band"
"Oh. Nice" It had become awkward but luckily Oscar came in.
"Hey" He clapped Chris on the shoulder and gave Peyton a shy smile.
Peyton, however took this as an opportunity to get out of there.
"Damn, girl" Katlyn was waiting for her when she exited the room
"What?"
"He's into you"
"Yeah, the guy who made my life hell in sch-" the words were out of Peyton's mouth before she could stop them.
Katlyn stared at her.
"Huh?" The brunette blinked
"Kat, there's something I haven't told you" Peyton let the entire story out.
How she'd felt useless.
Hurt.
Numb
How she'd wanted to kill herself.
Every. Single. Detail.
Katlyn looked sad, hurt, pissed and sorry all at the same time.
"And you didn't want to tell me this?"
"K, my mother had fucked up, I was suicidal and AJ was dealing with her own shit. We wanted to start over. In a town where we could forget our screwed up lives"
"Do you remember when we became friends?"
"We said 'no secrets, always sharing' "
"Kat-"
"Why? Why did you hide this?"
"Because I didn't want to revisit it." Peyton pulled up the sleeves of her T-shirt "You wonder why I almost never wear stuff that shows my arms,right?"
The long, angry red scars were still there.
Still a reminder of why she would forever hate Christopher Bryant Velez Munoz.
"Peyton" Tears flowed down Katlyns cheeks as she saw what her give-no-shits bold best friend had been hiding
"I'm sorry for hiding this.Please don't let this affect your relationship with Oscar"
The girl didn't want her best friend to ditch The One. She deserved to be happy and Peyton would do anything to keep her that way.
Katlyn threw her arms around Peyton as both let their tears run free
"Girls, where have you be-oh" Julietta, the wedding planner walked in and stopped when she saw them. she nodded and walked away.
The two broke the hug,smiling at each other.
"Don't make the grand revenge too grand, hm?" Katlyn teased.
Peyton winked at her.
No matter how big the ruse was,
Christopher was going to regret fucking her over.
And it was gonna hurt like hell, for him.

idk i wrote this a lil fast because we had a group presentation, everyone in the group was MIA and literally 5 minutes before we had to present, we realised 3 whole slides of the powerpoint were missing [pretty much how my day is going]
