He smiled cruelly at her.
Her mother might be the devil in this story.
He wanted to make her mother suffer.
But as they say,
The worst kind of pain is emotional pain.
Real pain.
And he was going to make sure that pain hit Laura Charleston in bucketfuls.

He was never one for hurting people

But as he saw Laure do the unforgettable thing she had done, he changed.

Now he watched as one of his closest friends, Joel picked her lock and took out her diary.

He felt some sadistic pleasure rise in him.

The bell rang. The ruse was on.

"Ladies, gentlemen and the non-binary" His other friend Richard announced dramatically.

Peyton stood still when she realised what was in his hand.
"Oh fuck" someone said.

As Richard read all the embarrassing stuff she had written in her diary, he stared at her smirking.

Anger, hatred and sadness pooled in her eyes.

There was now a crowd around them and people were sniggering.

No one liked Peyton Charleston. She didn't belong there.

He watched as Erica, the mean girl of the school kicked her shin and she fell hard on the gravel floor, eliciting more snorts from the crowd.

Taunts started arising from the now-rambunctious crowd

"Remember when she bled through her clothes once?"

"How pathetic"

"Pee-Pee Charleston sounds about right"

"Whore face"

"She's such a crybaby"

"Go die, bitch"

"No wonder our town isn't popular, what, with the dipshits we have living over here"

"Gutter trash"

He watched numbly as she ran away, her cheeks wet.

He was like that once.

No matter how fragile she was.
No matter how beautiful she was.
She was Laura's daughter.
And Laura deserved hell.

Even if an angel had to go because of it.
