Averys POV:

To say I was angry was an understatement. I was furious.

I go to the closest bathroom and sit in the last stall. I wipe away at my eyes but the tears won't stop they just keep on coming. I give up trying to stop them and just cry my phone vibrates and i want to ignore it but I look at it hoping it would distract me.

Faith:

Where are you?

Me:

Bathroom.

Elena:

Which one?

Veronica:

Sweety, imma need you to elaborate.

Me:

Closest.

I don't get a response but I know they've seen it. I put my phone back in my pocket and wipe my eyes with my sleeve wanting to get rid of the tears before they come.

As I'm doing so I hear the door open and multiple shoed feet on the floor come closer.

"Avery?" Elena calls.

"In here." I croak out.

There's a knock on the stall door. "Can we come in?"

It's Veronica and it's the first time I hear her voice sound so soft usually it's really loud.

I get up from the closed toilet seat and open the locked door to let them all in. They come in and instantly hug me. If this was before I probably would have screamed and freaked out but instead I felt comforted with them here.

"Are you ok? Faith asks as they all step bag from me looking at me with worried faces.

"Of course she's not ok." Veronica thumps her on the shoulder and she groans.

"It's ok. I've been worse." I say looking down at the ground.

"If he ever bothers you again don't worry well make short work of him," Elena says confidently and I thank God that he's given me such great friends.

"Yeah well beat him up with our girl power." Faith says trying to lighten the mood.

"Screw girl power let's bring, knives and swords," Veronica says.

"OH! Ill even bring a machete and well chop him into smithereens and feed him to hippos in Antarctica," Elena says and we all look at her.

"There arent any hippos in Antarctica, stupid." Faith corrects her.

She just rolls her eyes. "You get the gist."

Before they can continue their banter the bell rings signaling the end of lunch and it was time to get back to class and the dreadful work that awaited us. We come out of the stall and I look into the mirror that was hung on top of the sinks.

My eyes were red and puffy from all the crying and rubbing. I splash my face with some cold water and Veronica gives me a small towel that she kept in one of her bag pockets that she used to keep sanitary products just in case.

We headed to class and I could feel the stare of my classmates. I ignored it sitting at the back of the class and putting my head down on the table.

As soon as I got back home I went into my room wanting to sleep away all thoughts of today. Throwing my bag to the corner of my room and kicking off my shoes I get into bed.
