Taehyungs POV

The day before

I can't even remember how long I've been locked in here, I stopped counting after a week since it just brought more pain

Once every few days my father would come in and go on the same homophobic rant he had been repeating for over a decade to me, the same words, the same anger in his eyes

And yet again he's back in here to come and yell at me again

"Taehyung, I know you hate me and that you think I hate you but I'm doing all this for your own good! I'm trying to make sure you don't fuck up your life and that is what a parent is supposed to do" something was different with him today, there wasn't any anger in his voice, he was calm, it was almost like for a second he was actually sane

He walked over and sat next to me on the floor
"There is going to be a day where I'm not going to be here, and sadly I think that day is approaching very soon, you know that my company is my whole life, it's everything I've ever worked for and is the only reason I had ever had children, to carry on my company, I don't trust anyone that doesn't have my blood running through their veins to take over my company and I obviously cannot pass it on to your brother and sister so I beg of you please do what you were born to do, I've let you have your fun trying out collage I even allowed you to try another career path but you need to start taking your life seriously now and for once you should make your family proud, make me proud" he said putting his hand on my shoulder making me flinch out of reflex

"You've had your fun with them boys and all your little gay friends who I should've stopped you from being around a long time ago if I knew how they would've influenced you like that, it's time you should find a nice wife and take on the company, I've already spoken to that jennie's father and he's agreed upon your marriage, all you need to do now is take responsibility"

"But I don't even like that girl"

"Do you think for one second I loved your mother, she served her purpose for me and gave me you three and I let her live here and spend my money on what she wants"

"I'm sorry but everything you've just said I don't want any of it, the company may be your world but it ain't mine and no matter how hard you try it will never be something I'm passionate about and will never do well if I'm not "

"You will be the next ceo wether you like it or not! And until you understand your responsibilities you're not allowed to leave, I know you obviously don't like it in here but and the sooner you've come to terms with how that will be your company then the sooner you can leave there will be no exceptions"
Once he finished talking he walked out of the room slamming shut the door, not forgetting to lock it

Present day

No ones POV

"I just want you to hear me out" daehyun and taehyungs mother were in the living room and she ordered all of the staff to stay out so they didn't have any interruptions or most importantly they didn't have any one eavesdropping and reporting back to her husband

"I will not let him out, do you understand how much trouble I will be in if I did! He would kill me"

"He's your son, surely you don't want him being treated like this"

"Every single time I look at that boy all I see is his father, the man I've been controlled by since I was 19 and forced to marry that psychopath! I hate my husband more then anything and I hate myself for hating my own children because of him"

"He may be his son but he's nothing like his father and you know that, all I'm asking is for you to tell me where he is and make sure none of your little servants see us, I'll do the rest"

"Even if I was willing to do so I would still get the blame, you don't understand what it's been like here, the mans sick and has been loosing his mind, I'm waiting for the day he drops dead but until then I'll never get away from him, if he thought I let the only person he deems fit to run his company then no doubt I'll end up in the lake in the backyard, never to be found"

"Then leave when it happens, take eunjin and jeonggyu out with you and make sure both of them know he's in still in that room before you left and he'll never think it's you, just tell me where he is"

"That could work He's going to be gone tomorrow as well so I'll take them out to Seoul for the day or something, I can tell you where he is and lower some of the staff but that's it I'm not risking any more"

"Thank you so much"

"I can show you where he is today before his father comes home and I'll give you a spare key come with me" she said getting on her feet and quickly walking into the next room

She lead the other up the staircase and after going down many hallways they reached a white door covered in locks two of which needed a key

"Here take this" the said while handing daehyun three keys

"I'll help you hide taehyung as much as I can but if even for a second it backfires on me I will have to tell him where he is"

"I understand thank you" he said hugging the woman before leaving
