Yaoyorozu had proved to be an excellent teacher. She was skilled in so many different fighting techniques, some that Y/n didn't even know the names of before. She was impressed by pretty much everything she showed her, especially with that bo-staff Yaomomo used. It just looked like a stick to Y/n, but Yaoyorozu moved it around like it was some sort of complicated weapon, and delivered blows to the training dummy that'd probably render her unconscious in an instant. Y/n hoped she'd never have to be on the receiving end of one of her attacks.

After hours upon hours of coaching, Y/n could now use a bo-staff (although with less skill then Yaomomo, but it was a start) and advanced self-defense. Well, sort of. They only had a few weeks to train, so everything Yaomomo wanted to teach Y/n was shortened and squeezed into a small amount of time. Nevertheless, Y/n still felt like she was much stronger than before.

"Thanks for dealing with me, Yaomomo." Y/n said quietly after another training session finished, giving her a small but warm smile.

Yaomomo shook her head, "It was a pleasure. Please come by my place any time! I'll always have time for you, L/n-chan."

L/n blushed a little bit at the other girl's wording. "Th- thanks," she said again, "I'll, um, visit you again some time."
The h/c-haired student then picked up her bag and stepped out the door.

Two days passed, and it was finally time for the UA Sports Festival to start!
The classes were directed to different waiting rooms, and they were just about to leave. Todoroki walked up to Y/n's childhood friend and said something to intimidate him, but Y/n didn't care to listen.

"And you," spoke a familiar voice, "I don't know what your deal is, but I'm not losing to you, either."
Bakugou lifted his chin in her direction, like those bullies Y/n used to see in Sunday Morning Cartoons.
"Don't get in my way."

Y/n's blank facade broke for a second, and she squinted an eye, making an annoyed and somewhat confused face.
"Who are you again?"

Bakugou jerked back, offended.
"IS THAT AN INSULT?! THAT'S IT, I'VE DECIDED I WON'T GO EASY ON YOU! I'LL DESTROY YOU, FREAKY EYES!!"

The h/c-haired girl turned her head. "Yeah, whatever," she said.

'Split personality much?' Thought Aizawa, having watched it go down from the other side of the room. He recalled seeing her coo over their neighbour's dog the other day, so it was almost unsettling seeing her act so distant in front of her classmates.  Even though she pretty much did it all the time at this point.
'Maybe I should get Y/n to see a therapist or something.'

"Shota, call them out. Midnight's going to start her speech soon," buzzed a voice from the earpiece Eraserhead was wearing.
"Got it," he responded, clicking it off. He looked towards his class.

"C'mon, kids, it's time."

"Hello everybody~! You already know me as the R-rated hero: Midnight! We've got an interesting group of individuals participating in this year's UA Sports Festival! Oh, I just can't wait to see who wins this year! Let's give a big welcome to the classes participating!"

The crowd screamed and cheered as the students walked into the stadium.

Y/n looked around, horrified. It was so loud. It was so very loud. She could handle All Might's and Present Mic's obnoxiously loud volumes in class, but now Y/n felt like she might break down crying. Her hands shook at her sides, and her eyes widened, mind going blank. She'd never been in front of so many people before. What if she looked at them by accident? What if she--
