"Why don't we finally see what you're hiding under that eye-patch of yours, hmm?"

"NO! NO, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! YOU CAN'T TAKE IT OFF! IF YOU DO, YOU'LL DIE! DIE! AND THEN I'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANOTHER PERSON'S DEATH!"

The man moved his hand away from Y/n's face, surprised at her exclamation. She cared? About a villain's life?

No, that was a silly thought. What was more likely was that this girl was bluffing, and actually had a weak quirk that could do little harm. She was trying to scare him. A pathetic attempt, really.

"That's cute. Real cute. Now shut up and let us do what we need to do, kid." As a precaution, the man appointed one of his accomplices to remove the blindfold instead of himself.

"NO! NO PLEASE! STOP!" the man's accomplice removed the blindfold with haste.

"I WON'T BE ABLE TO CONTR-" She reached a hand to her eye to stop it, but it was too late. The damage had been done.

They were deleted.

Remembering trauma from her past and the strange dream that Y/n just had guaranteed a screaming wake-up call for Aizawa in the morning.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! IT HURTS! IT HURTS! DON'T LEAVE ME!"

Aizawa rushed into his adoptive daughter's room as fast as he could. At this point, it was almost a part of their daily routine, as horrible as it may sound.

"Shhhh. Calm down Y/n, it's okay. You're not at that playground. You're safe and sound at home. I'm right here," the man said as he took her hands (that were previously scratching her arms violently) into his own. Y/n sniffled and tried to stop sobbing so loudly, and blinked a few times while looking at her lap, as if awakening from some sort of trance. "Shhh. It's okay now," he said again to her.

"Th- th- thanks, Aizawa." the girl said, voice all wavery. She inhaled deeply between each word, trying to calm herself down.

Now, normally Shota Aizawa wouldn't consider himself to be a compassionate and gentle person. Anyone who was close with him knew he was a very secretive, introverted person. But as he spent more and more time taking care of Y/n, his hard demeanor started to loosen up. He was forced to become more aware of her mental state at all times and worry about her wellbeing often, leading to him becoming more parent-like than he ever thought was possible of him.

"A- Aizawa... i- in my dream, th- there was a man who-"

"Shhhh. I know. The more you think about a bad dream, the worse you'll feel. Just ignore it and let's go have breakfast. You'll feel much better, I promise."

Despite his monotone voice, Y/n knew he was trying his best to care for her. She nodded and tried to forget anything that happened in the dream like he advised her to.

'It's not important. It's just a dream. It's not important. It's just a dream. It's not important. It's just a dream.'  she chanted in her head.

"Now, what should I make for the two of us? Eggs, toast and bacon strips?"

Y/n nodded hungrily. She tried to contain her fantasies about the delicious sounding meal so as not to start drooling. "Yes p- please. I- I would very much like that, thank you."
