Chapter 28

Thea's POV

The next morning, I woke up at my usual time and went about my morning routine to get ready for school. A maid came in just as I was putting stuff in my bag to inform me that Travis had already left for school, some time back and wanted me to know that he's leaving early.

That's sweet of him but he didn't know that I like walking to school.

I took my phone off the charging dock to see a text from Tyler, asking me to come see the practise today. I have been going to see the team practise a couple of times now so it wasn't an unusual request.

I went down to the kitchen and had my breakfast before my brothers were even there. I asked one of the maids to make sure they all leave on time before I went to school. I put on my earphones with my playlist on shuffle before walking towards school. On reaching, I went straight to the field, where the team was practicing. I spotted Tyler and Travis almost immediately. I guess I was just in time to see them playing. I could see the Coach watching Travis play very closely, hopefully he'll make the cut. Our team would be lucky to have him, I can see that he's great.

I continued watching them practise from the bleachers while still listening to music. I took out my earbuds when I saw Tyler jogging towards where I was sitting while I saw Coach talking to Travis.

"Hey Thi."

"Hey Ty, do you think he's in?", I said pointing towards Travis.

"Are you kidding? He was in the minute he beat our best players, myself included. We were just practicing some strategies."

"That's great. I could see that you guys are going to do great."

"It's a good thing I texted you huh?"

"And here I thought you were here to see my tryouts, kitten.", Travis said, walking up to us. His expression was playful but his tone seemed off.

"Hey dude. Congrats again.", Tyler said to Travis, giving him one of those weird man-hug thing.

"Yeah, Congratulations Travis. I saw you play; you were great.", I said, smiling at him.

"Thanks kitten."

"Kitten?", Tyler asked, raising an eyebrow making me blush but thankfully I was saved by the Coach's voice calling them back. I quickly waved them off and went back to sit on the bench. When the practise ended, I headed to the school building, going to my locker to put away some stuff and grabbed the book I need to go through for English. I'll do it in the homeroom hour.

I turned and saw Diana and Stella walking towards me. I waved at them and we continued to make our way to the homeroom.

We spent our homeroom, chatting and in between I finished the reading part. Travis and Tyler had walked in just as the bell rang and sat on the other side with some guys.

During the English class, I had a free time since the teacher gave us time to finish our work which I had already done. The teacher had some work to do herself. Somewhere in between the lesson, she called my name and I walked up to her. She handed me a note and asked me to give it Mrs. Hall in the admin office. I nodded at her and made my way to the office. Ha

The hallways were empty except for the janitor who I waved at and entered the office. I walked up to Mrs. Hall, "Hello Ma'am, Ms. Elise sent me to give you this note."

"Oh yes dear. Just give me a minute, you'd need to take a file back with you to her."

I nodded and waited as she went to get the file. I looked around and got lost in my thoughts until I heard a loud voice. I could make out that it was Uncle Tom's voice, our principal.
