"I'm really glad Lauren has a friend like you. You and the girls are good for her." She entered the door before I could speak.

It's only a matter of time before she finds out what happened tonight.

Lauren's POV

After being 'brutally' questioned by the idiotic detective, I was left in the cold room. The silence felt-

A loud commotion and arguing come from outside, cutting off my thoughts. The door slams open and my parents come into view.

"Lauren! My baby! Did they harm you?!" My mother cuts off my thoughts.

She gives me a tight hug although my father has a look of disappointment

"Just questioned me, nothing serious," I shrug, hiding the fact that the situation I'm in, is scary. A sigh enters my ears. It's my father.

"I am really disappointed in you Lauren, this isn't how we raised you..." He shakes his head. I look down at my cuffed hands.

"It wasn't me," I whisper to myself. "What was that?" My mother questions. I shake my head at her, gesturing that what I said doesn't even matter. It's not like they would believe me anyway. Plus, the last thing I want to do, is to make my parents upset.

A moment later, a cop in uniform enters with the detective that previously questioned me.
