["The big boss initiated the meeting. You know what that means,"] he added.
"Big shit," I urged, frowning in the most defeated way. Mukhang ilang linggo na naman kaming mapupuyat nito.
If the big boss announced an upcoming meeting, it's not just a simple meeting. That's why you better be there whether you like it or not, or else.... you would be jobless within the next 24 hours.

I don't know why pero kinakabahan ako sa dahilan ng pagpunta nya, or maybe pagod lang siguro ako kaya nagkakaroon na ng mixed emotions, ilang araw na din akong puyat dahil katatapos lang ng runway na ginanap sa Spain at kakauwi lang namin kagabi. Sunod-sunod ang naging events namin this past few weeks dahil karamihan ng mga nasa model industry ay firm namin ang kinukuha para magdesign ng mga outfits na gagamitin ng kanilang mga model every fashion show.
Hindi ko alam kung bakit kailangan pa naming magpunta personally sa mga fashion shows dahil kami lang naman ang mga designers at hanggang doon na lang dapat ang trabaho namin, pero gusto ng boss namin na siguraduhing walang mangyayaring aberya sa mga designs namin, at kung magka aberya man ay nandoon kami para solusyonan 'yon, pangalan din naman daw namin ang madadamay kung sakaling pumalpak 'yon kaya lahat ng naaassign na projects sa'min ay minamanage namin personally, malaking pera din ang nakarisk dito at ang pinaka importanteng risk dito ay ang image ng firm.
As our boss walks inside the office ay agad nagsi-ayos ng kanilang mga sarili ang mga kasamahan ko.
"Good day, ladies and gents. Well, I'm pretty sure that all of the people inside this room is aware that I don't usually visit here except if I have some important matter to discuss," panimulang bati ng boss namin sa pinakastriktong tono.
Lahat kami ay tumango lang bilang pagsang-ayon.
"So yesterday, when all of you are busy on the runway in Spain, I personally had a client meeting in the Philippines and the client wanted us to be the designer, as usual of what they will wear in the event. It's not a big client just like those we handle in Spain and New York, it is some kind of personal event and this client is a good friend of mine, he personally requested our firm to manage it. Actually, not all of you is obligated to come, he just requested Ms. Mendez's team to do the work for them," she explained and looked directly on my direction.
Nagulat naman ako dahil sa sinabi nya, ngayon lang kami nagkaroon ng client na may piniling specific na team, pero ang ipinagtataka ko ay bakit team ko pa ang nirequest ng client? Did he/she know me or what?
"Why did the client only requested for my team madam? Isn't he supposed to get us all to do the job? It's a big factor if we all work together, it can lighten the job," I asked her.
"As I said, it's not a big client so I don't think it will be a burden to your team, Ms. Mendez. Besides, you're one of my best designers here in the firm, I'm sure you can handle it smoothly. Also, I don't think that Mr. Carson will be a tough boss to your team, he's a nice guy after all." she replied with a firm smile.
Carson.... I couldn't remember someone close to me who's surname is Carson.
"Pardon, madam. Who's Mr. Carson is that?" I asked.
