Chapter 26

Annie's POV

Annie’s POV
As Draco came inside no one spoke.There was pin drop silence in the cabin. What was draco doing here?Are they still friends? Where was he till now? I had so many questions to ask him but I didn’t .His eyes were red, it was as if he has seen a ghost. He was staring at me with so many emotions in his eyes. Rafael went forward to hug him but he pushed him back and asked in almost a whisper “What is she doing here?” Rafael tried to make him sit and explain but he fainted. I went near him to see if he was ok but Rafael pushed me back and yelled at me to stay away from him with hate in his eyes. What did I do? Why was he yelling at me? I turned around and started running towards my car. I sat in my car and cried. Why does life keep testing me. Why is fate not on my side. What did I do wrong to deserve this. Why has he come after all these years. I cried mysef till I had no tears in my eyes left. I made my way towards the penthouse and went in my room. I hadn’t eaten anything since breakfast but I didn’t want to go down.I took a long relaxing shower and changed into shorts and a tank top  and made my way towards the bed to take a nap since I have no work today. My head was hurting like hell . I lied down and closed my eyes only to see Rafael’s eyes when he yelled at me. I again started crying and didn’t know when sleep overtook me. I  woke up at 7:00pm  and decided to go downstairs to have my dinner because I was hungry. I went down and hoped to not face anyone because I was in a very bad condition.i went in the kitchen and made spaghetti with a chicken soup.  I took my dinner and went in my room as no one was there in the penthouse. I ate my dinner ,answered some emails ,scrolled on instagram and lied down as I was not feeling good. I again slept thinking about today’s event.

I got up at 8:30am and brushed my teeth and  decided to take a shower. I took a shower,wore a black formal dress and went to have my breakfast. As I was making scrambled eggs I got a call from Bella so I turned off the stove and accepted the call.

“Hello” I said in a chirpy voice.

“Hello,my foot!!!!Where have you been?.No calls,no messages!!!!! Where were you? Are you alright?  Ohh god don’t tell me you’re in some hospital!!!!!!!!”

she started pestering me with her questions. I told her to calm down and after a minute she stopped her bickering.

“I’m sorry I didn’t messaged you earlier, I  was actually busy with the meetings and everything going on here. I tried calling you but you didn’t answer soo….”

“ How have you been? Are you and Luca working things out?”

“Yes ,everythings fine,we are back toghter,.

I  want to  tell you so much but I can’t talk right now as I need to go to my office. I’ll call you at noon . I miss you. Urgh I wish I could be there with you”

“yes love I  miss you too, why don’t you come and meet me?”I told her.

“I’ll see if I’m free this weekend. I’ll try. I need to goo so byee . I love you “
“ok , I love you too babe .I’ll be waiting. See you soon. Byeeee!!!”

with that I cut the call with a smiling face but my smile didn’t lasted long after turning around and looking at  Rafael’s  angry face. He furiously made his way towards me and grabbed me by my hair and shouted

“Why!!!!” by now I had tears in my eyes .it was hurting me . I tried to pry his hand away but in return he gripped tightened on my hair.

“Mr Knight,leave me its hurting.What did I do?Leave me” he pushed me back and I steadied myself with the help of the counter.

“Whom were you talking to?” he said in a very low and threatning voice

“That’s none of your business” I said with a glare. Why does he want to know anyways . he only told me that we are married only on papers.

“Everything related to you in my business,now tell me who were you talking to?”

he said coming closer. His breath was fanning my face.

“ A fri…..a friend” I said while looking down and ran into my room away from  his piercing gaze. I had tears glistening in my eyes but I refused to cry. I’m not that weak. He can’t do anything to me. I’m his wife now.I didn’t even had my breakfast. I did my makeup, tied my hair in a high ponytail and  made my way  to his office. I sat in my car and drived to his office. As I reached there  I greeted the receptionist and went to his floor. The elevator door opened and I stepped out moving  towards the receptionist desk. Damon was sitting doing there some work. He heard my heels clicking  and looked up.I greeted him and made my way towards my cabin.Yes I have my own cabin. Rafael gave me this cabin so I can have my own space and do my work here.I went inside my cabin and started doing my work. I was so engrossed in my work that I didn’t knew when lunch time came. As I was going to grab my lunch from around the corner , I met a boy in the elevator. He was actually nice and fun loving and he was also going to the same place for lunch so we decided to go together . His name was daniel. He has black hairs and blue eyes with a little stubble We had our lunch together while knowing about each other.i didn’t tell him that I’m married because I don’t want anyone to know about it and let Rafael think that I’m taking advantage of his name and reputation. After having lunch we decided to head to our work.  I made 9 different types of room for him to confirm and select all with different catagories I was almost done with my work only a few more were left,I was so tired and it was already 10:00pm  so I decided to make the last one at home. I packed my things and head out of my cabin. I was passing by Rafael’s Office when I saw Draco there. I hurriedly turned and started walking towards the elevator.I was frozen on my spot when I heard a person calling my name
