" - Die!" The person , who was counting the pieces of paper, finishes his sentence after a pause. I didn't really know what was happening, but I was slowly coming out of my stupor. I am just now realizing I am bound with chains. Wait, am I going to die? Am I the beast they keep mentioning? Oh crap! I feel my heart drop in fear. I look at the tiny girl in front of me and I strangely see anger and sadness in her eyes.
I look at the other people around me and see one of them is smirking. I can't help but give a small whimper of fear. The small girl sits down by a table and crosses her arms over her chest. She picks up something I couldn't see and calls out "Uncle will wait! To of the vote fell! They vote for him to live! This means the live vote out numbers the death vote!" She calls out in what seems to be excitement.
Does this mean I'm not going to die? My question was answered when The Will calls out to the crowd "We found to uncounted votes on the ground! The beast will live!"
I give a sigh of relief, now fully out of my previous daze. I'm going to live. I give a sigh and take a few deep breaths, trying to calm myself and my beating heart. Once I got myself calmed down a bit I look around at the separating crowd, looking around for Jarry. I didn't see him and I frowned slightly. I look back to the people nearest me and notice that previously smirking person was now seething in anger, with two others trying to calm him down. The seething person and who I presume are his two friends walk away. After those three walk away the person called Will and one other person walk away too.
Once the crowd and the five people walked away I was left alone with the girl. The girl stands up and with the brightest smile I have ever seen stands in front of my face and hugs my nose. I smile at the affection and gently nuzzle her.
" Hello miss" I say with a happy smile. She squeaks happily and bounces in her spot. " You're finally awake enough to speak!" She yips.
The girl then starts rambling a bit, " You might not remember this because you were very very very sleepy, but my name is Marada and I'm the Mayor's niece! Oh, Jarry told me your name is Silver and I think that is a very lovely name! Also don't worry about the chains I will get they may and unchain you tomorrow, because you seem like a very nice guy."
I couldn't help but chuckle at Marada's ramblings before I realize she had mentioned Jarry. " You know Jarry?" I ask her. She just nods and says " Jarry will probably visit you later, probably at night... he's not very welcomed her in this town, but I think he's a nice guy" I give a nod and smile at her before responding "Ok"
It was starting to get dark so I'd be able to see Jarry soon. Marada frown at something and hugs my nose again saying, "I'm sorry Silver but I have to go home before it gets to dark, I don't want my uncle to worry about me!" She then gave my cheek a small pat and ran off into the town.
I was left alone as it got darker and darker. I look around to see all the people had gone to their homes. I felt a bit lonely, but I was use to it. I suddenly wince as I feel a sharp pain in my stomach as it growls. Did I eat anything today? I don't think I did. I would turn into my animal form to get out of my bounds, but I think my hind paws would still be stuck. "Marada said she would take my bounds off tomorrow" I remind myself
I don't know how long I was in the dark alone but when I was just about to fall asleep I feel something push on my cheek. I sleepily blink open my eyes and the thing that pushed on my cheek steps back and into my view. It was Jarry. I smile happily and ask him through a small yawn " hey Jarry, how are you doing?"
" I'm doing good, I'm sorry you got into this mess." He then adds in a bit of confusion, " I honestly don't know how they got you here and chained down"
"It's fine buddy" I respond still smiling. My stomach then growled again making me frown. Jarry frowns and asks " you haven't eaten since breakfast yesterday, haven't you?" I just nod for my response and lay my cheek on the ground.
" Marada says she'll get a thing called a key and unchain me tomorrow. When I'm not bound in this spot I'll just go home" I tell Jarry.
He just nods and sits down and says " I'd bring you food if I could, but you're a big guy and I don't think I could tussle up enough food to even ease the edge off of your hunger. I'm sorry"
I just nod again and begin to nod off. I then remember about Rosey. " What about To Rosey? She probably hasn't eaten today". I was worried about the tiny baby deer. She hasn't been on her own since I found her.
"Isn't To say a deer? Don't deer eat grass and leaves and stuff?" Jarry asks
" Usually they do, but I just feed her apples... I don't know if she knows that she can eat apples." I tell him then ask " do you think you can go feed her? Please?"
Jarry sighs and stands up. " Ok Sil, I'll go feed you're deer, I'll be back as soon as can" He then walks away.
I am left alone in the dark once again, but that's fine, I'm kinda sleepy anyways. I close my eyes and start to doze off once again
I had drifted off completely when something cold and hard jabbed into tip of my nose. There was this bitter and strange smell, two strange smells actually. I scrunch up my nose a bit and sleepily open my eyes.
When my sight focused I see that person that was smirking, then seething. He was pressing a thing to the tip of my nose, it seemed to be made of metal and wood, it also had this blackish gray colored powder coating the metal part.
"You should have died beast! William should have just killed you like I suggested! I'm going gonna shoot you now and end your life!" The man yells while slurring and shoves the metal thing more against the tip of my nose.
I didn't know what was exactly happening but I did know this person probably didn't like me and that the powder was making my nose tickle.
Soon I couldn't help but sneeze, and consequently, but accidently, knock the guy down. This clearly causes the guy to get angry, although I couldn't stop the sneeze. He gets up, pushes the metal thing into the bridge of my nose, and shouts out loudly while slurring " YOU ATTACKED ME! YOU FUCKING ATTACKED ME! NOW YOU ARE DEFINITELY GOING TO DIE!"
This guy thought I attacked him? "Umm, sir? I didn't attack you... I umm, just sneezed, I'm sorry" I say trying to correct him.
He didn't take this to well and growled out through gritted teeth " Lier! You attacked me, and I will kill you for it. The world would be better off without a monster like you anyway!"
This person was starting to scare me and I didn't know what to do and I'm pretty sure he was going to kill me with the thing he was pressing to my face. I give a small, involuntary whimper of fear.
A few moments later I hear a very small click, then a loud bang, and instantly I feel a searing pain where the thing was pressed. I also feel blood trickle out of my new wound. They guy then moves the thing to just right under my eye. 'Click, Bang!'. The searing pain came again. Now two spots on my face were in great pain and bleeding...
