60th Curse

"I never really knew Domina. But she is my sister. Ikaw? Ikaw ang bestfriend nya. And she loved you. I wasn't able to save her, but I will do whatever it takes, to save you."

For the first time, I saw her smile. Bago sya maglakad papalayo sa akin. Patungo sa tower.

Little did I know that that will change our lives. Forever.

[Kristine's POV]

Noong pumanik ako ng tower, sa pagsunod kay Glimmer, bumungad sa akin ang isang eksenang tila sa TV lang makikita.

There Glimmer is, standing besides.. Glimmer.

There are two Glimmers. Parang pinagbiyak na bunga. Para akong tumitingin sa kambal.

Twins. But not. There are differences. The more I focus on them, the more I see them.

They just have similar features. Sa biglaang tingin. Tila magkamukha. Ngunit hindi.

I notice Glimmer, or the one on the left, looked at me.

Then biglang tumakbo patungo sa akin yung isa. And hugged me.

"Oh my god. Ikaw ba yan? Kristine!!" Ani pa nito. Hindi ito yung Glimmer na kinamumuhian ko. Her voice is softer.

"It's me. Domina!" Tila nanigas ang buong katawan ko. I froze, not because of the name she just said, but what she said? The implications of it? Gave me a glimmer of hope. Wrong choice of words. But still, a little hope.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" Sigaw pa ni Glimmer. The other one. Not the one claiming to be Mina.

"Kristine, listen to me. Ako to??" I push her away from me. Gently at first. Na para bang parte ko ay gustong maniwala agad at yakapin sya. But a part of me, told me not to hope. Nanaig ito. So I pushed her. Away from me. Hard.

"Hindi ko alam kung ano tong ginagawa nyo. But you two are crazy. Stay the fuck away from me.."

I have nowhere to go. Up in a tower with my parent's killer's daughter. Two of them. Pero tila mas gusto ko pang tumalon dito kaysa makasama sila. At kung ano man ang masamang plano nila.

"Ask me something only Domina could know." Ani pa nito.

I raised my head up and looked at her.

"Really? This? This is your way to get back at me?" Glim told her. It doesn't make sense to me.

Ano nga ba ang pwede kong itanong sa kanya? We were six. It's not like it is yesterday. I barely remember things before my world turned to shit.

I barely remember her.

"I .. wait let me think.."

"You fucking serious?" Halos pasigaw na sabi ni Glimmer. "This.. this is our fight." She gestured to the other one. "Bumaba ka ng tower na to, and forget about this. Wag mong kagatin ang mga manipulations nya."

"Sino ba sya? Ano ba to Glim?" Sagot ko pa.

"No one." Sagot ni Glim.
"Domina." Sagot nito at nagsabay pa silang dalawa.
