Isaiah and I are going to share a room in my own house.

The 2-story house of ours can accommodate 2 families, but only my grandma and aunt Sandy were living in it after we left for USA. The house was built in 1930s, and it has passed a lot of time, which is evident when you look at the exterior of the house. The windows are old, the walls are already dirty, and the wooden eaves are already chipped. But even though the house is older than my lola, the house is well taken care of. According to mom, there has been a lot of changes in the house even before I was born. My mom and her sister, aunt Sandy, grew up here.

Isaiah inspects the pictures hanging on the well-polished wooden wall. It has pictures of me, my parents, and the older generations of the family. He also inspects the big, wooden spoon and fork and my boyfriend looks intrigued.

Bill is being smothered by lola in the living room, and they are talking about how my mom grew up as an independent woman who refused to follow her mom's instructions. I laugh when I hear that.

My cousins are in the house as well, and the girls have been looking at Isaiah for quite some time now. They are just silent, looking at my boyfriend without blinking an eye. I roll my eyes at them, with Isaiah seeming oblivious to their stares. I send my Max and Sophie a message that I'm already back in the Philippines for two weeks, and they send they're coming.

Excited to meet my friends, I head to my room and find that it hasn't been touched since I left it. The bed is neatly made, the things I left are still intact, and some toys from McDonald's that I used to collect are still on my study table. I change my shirt to a plain tee that I used to wear, and black shorts. Once I head out, I find Isaiah talking to my girl cousins and that son of a bitch hasn't even looked my way. Masking my jealousy, I yell to my mom that I'm going to meet Max and Sophie in Tagalog. Finally, Isaiah looks and furrows his brows in confusion as I leave him with my cousins. He seems to be enjoying his time being surrounded by girls.

Since Max and Sophie are just leaving near me, it only takes them a couple of minutes to reach my house. When I head out, they are already waiting by the gate and I've never run faster in my whole life. I hug them both, and Sophie is practically jumping up and down in excitement as she hugs me.

"Kumusta ka?" Sophie asks me as she holds my arm, resting her head on my shoulder. "Grabe, nakakamiss ka. Hindi ka naman nag me-message sakin. Puro si Max kausap mo. Hindi mo siguro ako na miss."

"Hoy, na miss ko kayong dalawa." I tell her, defensing myself from her accusation that I didn't miss her. "Oo, aaminin ko, lagi kong kausap si Max pero dahil may kailangan lang akong sabihin sa kanya. Pero na miss talaga kita. Promise."
