Update #3: Maddy vs. Amy

Howdy hey Snickdoodle!

I'm going to throw something at you so get ready!

Maddy is now Amy!

*waves hands frantically* Calm down! Stop yelling at me! *ducks* And stop throwing things!

(Though I threw this change at you first so I guess you throwing things back is only fair)

Yes, I understand that you are mad, you never wanted me to change Maddy's name to Amy. I get that you're attached to her but let me explain a couple things.

The main thing is that Maddy and Maggie are too similar. So one needed to change and I'm too attached to Maggie to change her name, so it had to be Maddy.

Yes, I love Maddy. She was sweet, cheery and a good match for Link.

Why am I talking about her like she's dead? Well, cause...she...kinda...is...

HEY! Will you please stop throwing objects at me, I bruise easily! Like a peach, or tomato or one of those red apples that no one likes yet your parents still buy them and you're not sure why cause they don't taste good and well...they bruise easily!

What was I talking about? 🤔

Right, Maddy's death.

Of course, Link will still have a girl and it will all be the same like is was in the original book and whatever, but Maddy is now Amy and well, I like Amy more.

Amy is a lot more toned down than Maddy was.

Where Maddy was overeager, slightly annoying and a wee bit dramatic, Amy is more chill. She will most likely have the same lines, but she's not as overreactive.

And let's face it, even though you never wanted me to change Maddy's name, you didn't like her all that much.

COME ON! I know you didn't, you forget I've read about a billion comments and I read the ones where people were annoyed with Maddy. So, I'm making Amy a more lovable and relaxed character.

She will still be cheery and the perfect match for Link. And that one scene in the library is definitely not going to change at all! So don't worry. If you don't know what scene then clearly you don't remember our adorable little muffin Link being completely clueless!

So there you have it, Maddy will live on in our hearts and you will get to meet Amy!

I figured I would warn you now so when you read it you don't throw the book across the room, breaking the picture frame that held the wonderful photo of you and your bestie resulting in a fight where she believes that you want to get new friends and you're left alone hating me for bringing about this disaster in your life!

So this is honestly for you're own good!

Can't wait for you to get to know Amy when the book comes out!
