Update #1 There's a change in the wind, says I!

Alright, this is our first update so we must be super duper serious. Seriously, I'm serious. If you're not serious then there could be some serious repercussion! So let's be serious!

*Puts hands on your shoulders and stares into your eyes with a serious (obviously) intensity*

Okay, Snickerdoodle-

Why are you laughing? I told you this was serious. Snickerdoodle is a serious title of honor. You're still laughing, stop! You can't be serious if you're laughing! Be serious!

*rolls eyes*

Whatever. I'm going to go on wit this update and you can laugh in a corner. 

Now, I have to say I'm honored you have decided to join me on this adventure, cause it will be an adventure, for we are going into uncharted territory, the dangers we face might just do us in, but if we stick together I know we will make it through this becoming stronger and wiser explorers!

First on your adventure is a challenge that I face not with fear but with a lifted chin and determination. That is right, I speak about the fact that (hold your breathe)...

*Holds you still*

Calm down, calm down. Breathe! That's right in and out, in and out. That's how it goes. Stick with me okay? Don't-

*catches you as you pass out*

*Waves ice cream in front of your face*

Ah and you're back great, now let me explain.

Yes, I know  it can feel daunting to know changes are being made to the book but here's the thing, it will still be the book you know and love. The same characters you know and love. The core of the story will not change.

It's like Carter got a new wardrobe. She's still our same sassy, blunt, sarcastic, damaged, lovable, peevish, kickbutt Carter, she just looks a little better. That's all it is.

Is this a scary thought?

Heck yes, what if those lines that we loved so much are cut? What if that random side character we grew attached to for no other reason than the fact that it was something you hadn't noticed on the first three rereads is no longer there?

Well, I have faith that it was for a reason. Those bits that might be discarded will always live on in you and in me. (Also Wattpad since I plan to keep the book posted on here).

We must not fear. For they die for the greater good. They die so Carter can live! Their sacrifice will not be in vain! Their memory will live in us, spurring us on to bigger and better worlds! ON THE BACK OF THIER DEATH WE WILL CREATE A NEW WORLD FOR ALL TO LIVE IN AND ENJOY! WE WILL NEVER FORGET! WE WILL FIGHT FOR THEM WITH OUR LAST BREATH! WE WILL-

Wow, okay I got swept up in the excitement of it all. I apologize.

For reals, though I got the edits for the book and well, I'm ready to produce something that will surprise you and make you enjoy the book in a fresh way when it comes out.

So if you are still feeling apprehensive or even a little bit faint at the thought (don't pass out cause I'm not catching you a second time) think about it this way, all those times you wished you were a first time reader again, you get to be!

So stick with me honored Snickerdoodle and you'll be alright.

(Or you'll pass out again, bump your head on something and end up with serious headaches. In that case I suggest not passing out)
