'Peaceful. It's wonderful, really. The sound of the rain adds to it!' As odd as it was, she had drawn a smiling expression at the end of her writing. It only added as to why she was a unique woman. It had Alastor curious about this beautiful woman that went by the name of {Y/N}. The man that went by the name of Alastor finally looked down at the table, eyes widening when he saw the unfinished drawing in front of him.
"My, oh my! Darling, did you do this with your own hand? It's breathtaking, my dear!" Alastor began admiring her work, his smile widening a bit. {Y/N} blushed after hearing another compliment of his. She again began to scribble across the separate sheet of paper, then slid it over.
'Thank you, that means a lot to me! I have a passion for art, actually!' Alastor looked up at {Y/N}, only to be greeted with that blinding and angelic smile of hers. When she conversed about things she found interesting, it put her in a giddy mood, Alastor found it entertaining.
"Do you mind if I watch you as you work on this fine piece of art, my dear..?" He was curious to see whether or not he'd be entertained by watching someone work on their art. {Y/N} nodded with a cheerful smile, picking up her best friend, which happened to be a pencil, and began to get back to work. After a few minutes had gone by, he found it more satisfying to watch the strokes become a picture, and how peaceful it became the longer he watched. Though, he did find this entertaining, along with the expressions {Y/N} made as she worked upon the paper. And soon enough, Alastor finally understood the meaning of this art, after seeing her expressions and observing the drawing. It was meant to be what the woman in front of him was feeling, and it was joy in the middle of an upcoming tragedy. Alastor wasn't quite sure if he was correct. So he asked.
"Dear, is the woman in your art supposed to be joyful in the middle of an upcoming tragedy..?" His smile slightly dropped when he saw the woman look up at him with shock. "Did I say something wrong, darling..?" {Y/N} scribbled on a different piece of paper again, then handed it over to Alastor.
'You're the first to ever understand it so soon! It makes me happy!' The thing was, the woman was also concerned. No sane person should have understood it..
"Well, I'm glad it makes you happy, my dear! But, why don't you speak, may I ask..?" Alastor was becoming more and more curious about this clearly shy woman, and soon that curiosity slowly began to turn to obsession. {Y/N}, again, passed over a separate sheet of paper.
'I prefer not to, I suppose. When I speak I have have troubles forming words I suppose you could say. I apologize if communicating like this bothers you, Alastor.' Once the said man looked back up at {Y/N}, his grin faltered slightly to see her expression seem a bit down.
Oh, smile, my dear! You're never fully dressed without a smile, after all! I don't mind your form of communication at all, darling! No need to be so apologetic for it!" Alastor attempted to lift her mood, which surprising on his end. Normally he'd leave it be, seek entertainment within their negative emotions. What could he say? He was a sucker for good entertainment.
The young man's seemingly permanent grin grew a bit after seeing the girl in front of his cheer up a bit, a angelic smile of her own showing. {Y/N} went back to her drawing, not minding the fact that Alastor was watching her closely. It didn't take long for her to realize a few things, but she of course acknowledged the fact she could always be wrong. But she did notice his smile never seemed to disappear. It probably only faded when he wanted it to most the time.
After time had passed, {Y/N} finally finished her drawing, and Alastor could see how proud she were of it. After a long moment of both of them staring at the drawing, she slid it over to Alastor, pointing at the drawing, and then to him with a bright smile.
"You wish to give this to me, my dear..?" Alastor questioned with a hint of surprise in his tone. From what he has heard, many artists held their artwork dear, and so if they gave a drawing away without the other asking, or having to pay, it certainly meant something. And Alastor knew it, or at least he was pretty sure he did. {Y/N} was currently hard to read in a way.
{Y/N} nodded as a response to his question. She then bent down towards her bag and got out a sketchbook. Oh, how she held it as if it were the most precious thing ever. Alastor found it intriguing how this woman preferred to write than talk, how she seemed to love peace and quiet, and the fact she had given him a piece of her art, even though they had just met. He also found it entertaining when he noticed that sudden loud sounds always managed to startle her.
"Why, thank you darling. I much appreciate your breathtaking gift! But.. do you only work with pencil and paper? Or do you work with other forms of art, my dear?" Alastor questioned. He held the gifted drawing as if it were the most fragile flower in the universe. His obsession for {Y/N} was growing by the second. Soon enough, she slid over her response.
'I work with other forms as well, actually! Any kind of paints, ink, pencils, I take a liking to those three the most. Very relaxing!' {Y/N} took a sip of her hot chocolate with a small smile. She had began to take a liking to Alastor. And usually her gifted drawings were proof of it. Not just a liking. A large liking. To where she didn't want to leave. The woman quite enjoyed Alastor's company already, and how enthusiastic he acted. It got her in a genuinely good mood.
"I see.. I apologize, my dear, but I must get going! I have a radio show to host, after all!" {Y/N} looked up at Alastor with wide {E/C} eyes. She didn't know he had such an important job like that. She'd have to find his radio station, she supposed. Alastor stood, fixing his bow tie, then gently picked up the gifted drawing. "Farewell, dear {Y/N}! I hope to see you very soon, darling!" The said woman waved farewell as he walked out the cafe. She was a bit sad he had to go. But hopefully they would meet again.
{Y/N} gathered her things with great care, placing them in her bag before picking it up. She waved goodbye to the workers at the cafe, giving them her soft smile before leaving. What a unique day. She had made somewhat a new friend! She hasn't done that in a while! It made her a bit giddy, and so she skipped down the sidewalks, heading towards her small home.
