INT. BONFIRE - THREE AM

SMOKE IS MAKING EVERYTHING HAZY

Everyone is gone besides WILLOW and MADDOX.

WILLOW is swaying near the fire. Smoke is consuming her.

MADDOX
Willow..you're being reckless..get back from the fire [tries to pull her away]

WILLOW
[slurring] Get off me! Stop acting like you care about me! All this time people are saying I should let him go, to move on! It's been two weeks for fuckssssake! [screaming] Everyone keeps saying it isn't my fault, but you all secretly blame me! Just leave me alone if you really care about me! [crying]

WILLOW shoves MADDOX back

MADDOX
Ryn would be so disappointed to see you like this and so am I. I understand that you need to feel what you feel but in this way you are just like a child! [WILLOW looks at him confused] You never know when you're drowning. So wrapped up in your own little world that you don't even realize you're suffocating in a world with no air. [WILLOW opens her mouth, but MADDOX begins shouting] Get over yourself! You don't think we're all hurting? [quiet-medium] You're not the only one who lost him, but you act like you are I--[voice crack] [whisper] I miss him too, Riles, I really do. I understand where you're coming from...[WILLOW audibly sobbing]
I hate to see you like this..please stop crying. [MADDOX's voice wavers] You're starting to make me cry.

MADDOX pulls WILLOW in for a hug.

WILLOW
[slurring] I hate when we fight. [wipes her eyes and nose on MADDOX's jacket.]

MADDOX makes a face

MADDOX
I do too, but seriously ew.

MADDOX and WILLOW both start laughing. Laughter fades. Both turn to fire.

[Pause] ..Let's put this fire out and head back inside to get some sleep. You're gonna have a killer hangover.

WILLOW nods. MADDOX douses the fire with a hose.

VOICEOVER
Willow watches as her fire is drowned once again.

MADDOX pulls her inside (stage right)

FADE OUT:
