Lisa was late for her office for the 3rd time this month. Even since she had moved to New York from her small town of Mississippi, she had been trying to rearrange her life constantly, But she was still adjusting her life for more than 3 months, and it was now quiet embarrassing. She was grateful that she had gotten a job at a multinational company, but with it came such a load of responsibilities that Lisa found herself sleeping at around 3 o clock every night, getting up at 7, grabbing such a quick lunch or no lunch at all and rushing among the horde of people in New York.

"Sorry", she said, as she thought she had stepped on someone , but as she looked behind her, that someone pushed past, gave a shove and raced towards his own work.

The city of dreams, thought Lisa, as she held on her coat tightly around her and walked even briskly.

She entered her office building, while it had just started to drizzle, and moved towards the elevator as the security checked he employer's ID over the security check.

"Late Lisa is late again", announced Billy, her colleague loudly, as Lisa entered her cubicle and started drying her shirt. Not a great day to be wearing a white shirt today.

"Crazy news today", continued Billy, as Lisa started hastily rearranging the files that had to be presented to the secretary of the CEO, Mr Ormand Glassman. He was a short, potbellied man with an even shorter temper.

Lisa worked in a large firm which mainly dealt with publication. It was her job to scout for new drafts of articles and books before she would send any of them to be reviewed by the secretary, and after seventeen or so processes, reached the CEO. He would then have a final Yes or No on the piece.

When Lisa came to New York City, her dream was to become a writer but as time trickled in and ideas trickled out of her brain, she felt her dream get crushed underneath a huge pile of New York City crap. She had worked odd jobs as waitressing and sometimes as a personal assistant to creepy old men, when her friend Emily pulled a few strings and got her a job at Glassman Publications. She thought her dream of becoming a writer would finally be fulfilled, but she was very much mistaken. Each day the enormous workload threatened to drown her mentally and physically. She felt she was just a working robot in a computer who just read drafts and drafts of literary articles written by people.

"What crazy news?" asked Lisa nonchalant. Billy always had some sort of crazy news to give, which were at most, something along the lines of a new coffee maker getting installed or a new ice cream flavour getting incorporated in the company cafeteria.

"Glassman sold the company"

Lisa dropped her files rather soundly on the floor which earned her a lot of rude stares.

"WHAT"

"Yeah, Glassman is finally out"

"But why? Weren't we all in a good financial run this year?"

Billy smirked. Lisa grew impatient. She knew Billy rejoiced having attention on him, but she didn't have the time to egg him on today.

"Do you want me to ask you again Bill?" she said, annoyed.

"Oh you are such a party pooper", complained Billy, then continued "apparently, Galssman Junior has been caught in some scandal involving drugs, booze and sexual offence, you know the normal stuff"

Lisa nodded. She had seen Harold Glassman, the CEO's son and suffice it to say, he was not a pleasant person to be with. He even had tried to grab her, but she had made a run for it. Billy had asked her not to make a big deal then, she had just recently joint the office, and it would take her another few months to land a new job if she was kicked out of this job.
