Becca's eyes shot down to countless people, spreading the distance below. Strands of black hair stuck to her face. Echos and shouts cast an unsettling shadow below. I can't do this anymore, Becca said. But she didn't say it to herself, she said it to everyone. Becca's legs hang over the ledge as she looks down at the water below. A girl winds her arm and throws a ball, hitting its target and the seat upon which Becca sat released, dunking her—the crowd hollers. Anything for charity.
