"Bye stink," Mari grinned at him, as he got his shoes on for work. Today, unlike normal days, she was awake when he was leaving. "Have a good day, and eat please," she told him, sipping from her coffee at the island.
"How you come up with eight different nicknames in a month?" he wondered, walking up to her, kissing her. "Bye, baby. Don't burn them people stuff," he joked.
"Xavion, when I hit you in your chest don't ask me why," she chuckled. "Get out my face,"
"No," he held her cheeks in his hands and laughed at the face it made. "Aight, aight lemme go. Be good," he smirked.
"Goodbye, Rahiem," she laughed, swatting at his hand as she felt her face getting hot.
He made his way from her building to his car, immediately plugging his phone up to the charger and turning his music on, taking a deep breath before taking the drive to what would no doubt be another long day.
As his drive went on, he was inevitably stopped by a line of cars, awaiting a train to finish crossing the tracks, making him groan. He picked up his phone to see that Emari had texted him, and a slow smile spread across his face as he read it.

"Miss me already huh?" she wondered once she answered the phone.
"Maybe a lil bit," he joked. "You really made me food, Mari?"
"Yes! I was making my lunch while you were taking a nap and I had a good amount left over so I made you some too and put it in your backpack," she smiled.
"Man, thank you baby. I appreciate you,"
"You're welcome," she smiled softly. "I hope you like it,"
"I know I will,"
After they hung up, he finally was able to cross the tracks along with the other car, pulling up to his job about five minutes after, taking a deep sigh before going in to pick up his route for the day.
