The Nightmare- A Pjo Fanfic

Is this a dream?

"Dad" I shout again.
"Come in your room" dad tells us from across the house.

We rush into the room.

I saw dad sitting on the floor with a letter in his hand.
I sit beside him and he hands me the letter.
It wasn't written in English. I really didn't know what language it was but I knew the translations.
I read it out aloud
"If you are wondering about the disappearance of Jack then this letter is to inform that he is out there."

"Out there" Percy asks, "What does this even mean?"
"I think that this letter is telling us that whereever Jack is, he is safe" I say. "Most probably"
We never knew about Jack's family though.
But Percy's, its complicated. His dad died the night my mom died in an car accident. That's what the report states atleast.
And his mother, she was dead the day the was born. I pitty him but I never tell him that. Its just better to cry out and let out the pain. His dad had been best friends with mine.
I look at dad. I don't adapt any features from him. Nothing.
But still, I love him.
"What do we do now" Percy asked.
Dad sniffs. He takes the letter from me and tears it.
"What are you doing uncle" Percy exclaims.
"Just making sure that it doesn't get into the wrong hands" he says and leaves the room
Now, I am left with a torn letter and a discombobulated Percy.
"I think he went to his house" he says.
"In long Island Sound" I ask
"Ya"
"But, that is a property of the government, right?"
"He told us so" he says.
I saw a gleam in his eyes, I knew when it comes- when he wants to solve something.
"Long Island sound is pretty far, we cannot just take our cycles and go there" I say.

I look at my foot.
"What do we do about it?" I ask.
"Forget it" he says.
"Really?" I ask him.
"Yes" he says, looking away.
"Bye" he says and runs away, without looking back.
"Bye" I say.
